I watched xavi play and saw other players of his generation too. A coach can greatly influence how others view you. Take a look at Sergio busquets, he is still playing just like he was under previous coaches. But all the Barca fans are saying he isn't good enough. 😅😅One of the players whose careers were saved by a philosophy. Busquets is still playing the same way he was playing under guardiola.

MANY The only once-in-a-lifetime players i saw in that Barcelona team were Dani Alves, Messi, iniesta, puyol...the rest were supporting casts who thrived under the tiki taka system and were made functional because under that system there was always an outlet to pass to. As far as I can remember Dani Alves, messi, iniesta were the only players who continued to shine even under Tata martino. But the rest were not playing at that level we expected them to. Busquets, xavi and co were struggling. I can confidently tell you that xavi, busquets and the rest would have found it difficult integrating in any other team as at that time. Just take a look at busquets now. The whole cules fanbase are thrashing him. But this was how he used to play even under guardiola. Due to a fall of a system and no dog-fighter around to mop up his mess, he is struggling.

Dragan Stojkovic is my favourite player of all time but I think his style of play is different to Xavi... He was more of an attacking midfielder but Xavi is a proper playmaker.. both were great in their own position.. Its unfortunate that most kids of today do not know of Stojkovic.. He was well ahead of everyone on the pitch when he was fit and on mood..

If he is, he is not that below Ronaldinho. Ronaldinho was best or one of the best in his peak 3 or 4 years. Xavi too. He was the best player, better than Messi in 2009. And one of the best and Worlds best playmaker from 2008-12. The heartbeat of Barcelona in their best days. Also its his best days Spain won 2 Euro and World Cup.

@@A123-u7z Ronaldinho was performing in his youth as well with gremio and u-17 and senior squad in the 90s and early 00s though his "peak" was "short" he was winning trophies before he became mainstream to the newer and younger viewers. Xavi is good but he only stepped it up when Ronaldinho left along with Andrés and they didn't breakthrough after euro 08 around then after 2010 the broke.
