Can I hope to hear you in Europe before I pass to the other side of the veil ? @@mateodedios4507 True, it is not “true, full Bel Canto technique,” but David was trained VERY well in it at Baylor University. He has chosen a more “broadway-ish” modification of vowels, with less bloom at times, as well as greater laryngeal pressure, and while this is more abrasive to the vocal folds over time, it is simply him expressing himself artistically that is true to him. The visuals he uses are something I can relate to, because they helped me connect with the amount of brightness, openness, and pallet placement I wanted to have in a given phrase. Even if it’s not true Bel Canto technique, he is still a master of producing the exact sound he wants and knowing what is required of his body to do so.
