I live in Spain and have heard there are laws about actually photographing people with/without permission. You were very professional. Lesson- battery ready next time and write it off as yucky day/interaction. Would love video of some of the others who want exposure and are passionate about their work or gallery's work.
I would love to interview them - but unfortunately most of them can’t be interviewed in English. That’s why I take silly selfies with them at least that’s a way to remember them. Maybe one day I start a Spanish channel.
I’m an American. And I’m so sorry you felt the need to comfort this person. I would have asked, where are the signs that say no pictures or film? I’m not confrontational by nature. But I’m all about the proof in the pudding. I’m not rich or have a lot of time to travel. And especially if I’m working or on a time crunch I would have made it short and sweet. And seems like you were on your way out anyway. Some people don’t deserve the time. Great video thanks for posting
Haha yes in Europe people are very careful about protecting personal data and privacy. It’s such a political correct thing to ask before taking photos. But usually staff would give consent because it’s a part of their work to be there and show up.
@@VeryPrivateGallery I would have never guessed that lol! Ive never been to Europe… I had no idea. It’s a bit strange to me, it’s an event in a space for collectors, you paid money to get in to see the show, but you still have to be polite about photography and film? Seems like a journalist would feel censored. In a way you were a journalist… how interesting. But no signs about film or photography. I would have looked at that lady as if she had three heads. You made a comment about making every year count. We’re near the same age. I think that if your job depends on film and news, be unapologetic about what you do. No one wants 5% battery when you have another show to get to! Lol
Haha if you meet me when I was in my early 20s… you will find a ticking bomb in me, ready to explode. I was super fast to get furious… then I got older and calmer. It’s the coming of age.
Tefaf is coming soon! I didn’t realize it’s so soon though. I have a paper deadline in March and in April, so maybe this time I won’t make it. But the next Tefaf I will!
It sounds like she was being quite unreasonable and power tripping honestly. You had great suggestions and if she had a valid reason for needing to not be seen in photos or video, she would have taken measures to prevent it instead of singling you out for harassment.
Yes no matter how nice the meal is in a restaurant if the toilets aren't clean it ruins the experience. You maybe spent too much time haggling with her. Would appreciate it if would linger longer over the actual art work.
Yeah it’s harder to capture the art in this light (interior). But you can find all the artworks are on the fair official website in high res: 2023.justmad.es
