What happens if you mix plain gasoline and soap? In this video, I'll show you the amazing result of this experiment Thanks for watching today’s practical invention Subscribe to inventor 101 on youtube
That’s because all these “Content Creators” believe they have things never seen before ….. For instance “Fire starters made from Wax/Parafin and and Saw Dust …..I am sure there are dozens more ways to do that withoit the use of Gasoline / Petrol .
Was the goal here to make something way more complicated and messy than it needs to be? I've made fires for +40yrs and never needed a shredder, soap, gas, wax paper, rubber gloves...... I'll never understand people who complicate such mundane simple tasks.
Yes but its forgotten knowledge in these days ,you dont even need a paper you just chop thin cuts on the wood with knife or axe .Indeed ,why complicate simple task.
@@BrianRead-mf7puNo, liquid soap, mixed with bleach, is how you make homemade Mustard gas. Using soap powder or shavings is what makes Napalm stick, melt, and burn for extended periods of time. You'll get the same effect melting Styrofoam with the gas.
Ever heard of wax, beeswax, does similar, way way less toxic and smells way say better? Candle wax works great too, comes with a handy melting device, the wick, just light and molten wax magically appears, spread on paper or wood, job done. Unless you're a fan of toxic explosive fumes, your choice. The wax also waterproofs yhr paper or wood , very useful in damp conditions. May I respectfully ask you (the content creator) to remove this from RU-vid and release on TikTok where it maybe better received ...
@@MrSabram07 The wax makes anything like paper or wood burn easily. It will set when cool, then ignite really easily later on, basically a fire lighter. Paper burns well, paper and wax burns way better.
Old truckers trick to fix a leaking ruptured gas tank from e.g. turning around 3 point and backing into rock that ruptures or cause gasoline tank to partially split on seam. Bar of soap rubbed really hard and fast from under vehicle at point of leakings, will possibly be good enough temporary fix to get your vehicle driving to shop before gas leaks out.
Living on a farm 70 years ago we used crumpled newspaper and water to make a paper maché. Then added paraffin (kerosene). Made little balls and left them out to dry. Made excellent firelighters for the wood burning stove.
Yup. Only I used the cardboard egg cases. Fill them with wood shavings or sawdust and pour melted wax into each hole until it is full. When dry, cut the carrier into pieces, making sure each piece has a piece of the cardboard sticking out. Now you have firestarter balls. Light😊 that cardboard and put under your kindling, and you have fire. Enjoy.
Same here. But we used the cardboard egg cartons filled with sawdust and shavings then filled them with old candle wax. Worked great when the wood was damp to wet and paper with dry kindling just wasn't enough.
I just bought me a wood stove and i love cooking on it but I need to learn to make these because I have a heck of a time getting my fire started in it. Right now I scrounge up little twigs.
@@mamawlife7852 it's earlier, and less dangerous,to use wads of paper or corrugated paper wrapped the a roll, about 2" in diameter, then soaped in melted wax from old candles than going through all the steps presented. Tip: use string to hold the corrugated paper in a roll while the wax is cooling.
I collect the remains of wax candles that I melt and add sawdust from my table saw and other saws and mix and put the mixture in cupcake tin and when it’s hard put them in storage until I use them. They don’t smell of gas and work great.
I thought this was one of the best hacks I’ve seen 👍 mix up a mason jar full have on hand to light the fire pit instead of looking for tinder Thank you very much 👍🙏❤️
This is an idea. If y'all are concerned about the smell, don't use it. I think it's a great way to start a fire in an emergency situation. Thank you, my good sir, for showing and sharing this idea.
So in an emergency situation you're going to have soap, petrol, a cheese grater and a mixing bowl with you? Are you really going to bother wasting time doing all this, or are you just going to use petrol if you have it to start the fire?
@@OverkilledUnderdog is called poetic licence. Personally I would never use petrol to light a fire. Especially if I was planning to cook on it. A well built fire shouldn't need more than one bunched up sheet of newspaper to get it going.
You can buy kindling cheaper than it costs to make this. Plus my health is far more precious than fucking around with gasoline and inhaling the burnt fumes.
Ahh I see thank U thank... I've just been using gasoline and couldn't get a flame goin' at all.. so soaps the secret ingredient to get a fire going ay..nice thanks buddy .. PS since gas isn't extremely flammable and won't start a fire without soap can I just use soap? Or is it the molecular structure of the 2 combining that makes it flammable? It's a safe way to do it I get that lol
Incredible Innovation: This video showcases an incredible innovation where the simple combination of gasoline and soap leads to something remarkable. It's a testament to human creativity and ingenuity.
Congratulations you made fat wood and as pointed out if you had added a little more gas you would have made napalm. Say hello to the FBI when you see them 😂
