For anyone who doesn't know, iirc Amanda in the Saw movies made a few "unescapeable" traps under Jigsaw's name. Which is in direct contrast of the point of Jigsaw, leading to John disowning her (I think.). And that's why it's in chatacter for her to have an "unescapeable" trap add on.
Otz called them "party hats" in a previous video so now every time I play Pig and slam a trap on someone's head I say, out loud, "You get a Party Hat!" "And _you_ get a Party Hat!" or just "Party hat!"

It censors other dumb stuff as well. Like the whole point of the game is to kill survivors but if you say "I'm sorry your teammate killed themself on first hook" it'll get censored because you said killed themself.

It's sad, the Devs don't want to change her because she does well and gets kills. I really want a update to the pig because she still has issues. Especially in late game were her power is useless.
I get what you're trying to say, but Midwich is Pig's best map by a mile. Even without add-ons you will almost always get 1 or 2 headpops, which is in stark contrast to all other maps in the game.
There’s nothing I love more than seeing people heal with an active party hat on. One time on wreckers yard, a map that’s pretty small, I got 3 trap kills with these addons.
DBD has Roblox levels of filtering. But the thing with Roblox is that it's aimed for kids. DBD IS MEANT FOR AN OLDER AUDIENCE. WHY DO WE NOT HAVE THE OPTION TO TURN THIS GARBAGE OFF?

In a normal game, they get the traps off in 1 or 2 boxes, rarely 3 or 4. It's not needing a nerf, as RNG plays a huge part in it. It's like Devour Hope; most games it's useless, but in those rare occasions, it can change the tide to the game.
I can count on 1 hand the number of times I actually got the trap off in less than 4 boxes 😂 Now to be fair I've NEVER been killed by a trap but it's always all 4 boxes.

Tbh if it's the only thing pig got and it's extremely overpowered, then she shouldn't have it at all lol, maybe change most of the other add-ons to make it better and removing completely these two
@@Tyfen64 Those addons are only really overpowered on Midwich, any other map and you probably won't get any trap kills, they only just give the survivors anxiety.

Great video! I just wanted to point out that the Jigsaw's sketch is actually *significantly* better than the crate of gears on average if you're trying for head pops, and the crate of gears is actually a pretty balanced addon when you look at the numbers. The crate of gears increases the search time for any box by 30% (see wiki link below for verification). Searching one box takes 12 seconds, so that's a 3.6 second increase per box, or 7.2 second average increase in time spent searching until you escape (average amount of boxes needed to remove trap is 2). Because of this, the overall amount of time added to all 4 traps with the crate of gears is 28.8 seconds. Keep in mind that the tampered timer removes 30 seconds on all traps consistently, making it remove up to a total of 2 minutes in every game its used. The Jigsaw's sketch adds an additional box with no modification to the timer, pushing the average amount of boxes needed to per trap from 2 to 2.5. Because 2.5 boxes is a weird number, think of it as 2 survivors searching 2 boxes a game and 2 survivors needing to search 3. The amount of time added by searching an extra box is harder to quantify, but if you assume it takes around 15 or so seconds to travel between boxes and add the base 12 second search timer, that's a 27 second increase per survivor that is effected, or a total of 54 seconds removed overall. This is almost double what the crate of gears adds to the search timer, and I have found it to be significantly more oppressive to use or go against. Ultimately, I definitely agree that the Pigs addons should be looked at and reworked. I just think that the crate of gears addon is actually good enough as is. Tampered timer and Jigsaw's sketch are both incredibly stupid, and Jigsaw's sketch + annotated plan are equally good or superior if you check boxes often enough. Either way, keep up the great work! I remember someone doing a study about these addons and they (through 7 games, mind you, so not the best source) found it to be like a 33% success rate with both those addons to kill a survivor
Its not a specific map. As he explained, and as he's been doing, he's been picking particularly bad maps for these situations. So if anything, this showed the best case scenario for the survivors, and 2 people still died to traps, so how do you think it would be for them if they got a map thats a little bigger?
@@djekdozovitch3679 That's not the point, and yes he is scary because he puts on Bamboozle and suddenly becomes A tier. If he can down 1 person, he can camp them to death and there's nothing the survivors can do to save that person. Same with Pig. She downs 1 person, puts the head trap on, it activates, and the Pig never lets that person search the boxes, and they die from the head trap. It all depends on whether the killer wants to play normal and go for a 4k, or play like this and guarantee a kill.
@@danielmaster8776 if killer wants to camp and ensure a kill there is one thing survivors can do but its a little bit against their nature. They have to not be altruistic and gen rush and let the person die or they gen rush and then one of them swaps on the hook so that team has enough men and time. Any of those is acceptable and should be used by survivors if killer goes for the kill ensurance.
The thing I don't like is that most addons are either bad or okay or just ridiculously broken, like there's such a discrepancy, one of the things I like about Deathslinger is he has good addons but not ridiculously strong like spirit addons. Pig has good addons but over half her addons are bad or detrimental, including her ultra rares. If you don't go for ambush attacks last wish, bag/crate of gears, jigsaw sketch/plan are her best addons for general gen slowdown. Tamper timer is definitely a little problematic but less useful than her other addons
@@dalf_souls2199 The thing is that those three categories "Bad", "Okay", and "Ridiculously Broken" can be used to describe everything in game from Add-Ons to Perks to Killers. Those are just the three categories most things in games are placed into lol

It is a 9% chance of them having to search 4 boxes, and you still have to interrupt them. Like to get 1 headpop againt a decent team you need to completly shift your playstyle towards interrupting box searchings, and you still only has a 9% chance of it actually being worth it. Edit: and a gen needs to pop while they are on hook. Aside from already being extremely rare, it also has this condition. With that in mind, chances of you getting a head pop because of the addon and not because the survivor was just a casual potato a lower than 9%, and I would even say it is lower than 5%. No nerf needed.
I got 2 Iridescent add ons for Pig - Blood Stained Coin: Pig spawns with only 2 reverse bear traps, once placed on a survivor only 2 jigsaw boxes are active. Survivor has a 50/50 chance of removing their trap. Faulty timer: once a trap is placed on a survivor, any time a survivor is hooked ALL active trap timers are reduced by 25%, this also applies to hooked survivors with traps once they are freed.
I hope they do nerf The Pigs' addons, but also end up introducing a general buff for her, to maybe finally make up for that indirect nerf that was the Endgame Collapse update

I have this build I thought of that will be obviously terrible, but hear me out: No Way Out, Remember Me, and Blood Warden. You need to hook at least 5 times ( 1 for each survivors except an unlucky one (preferably the obsession) who has to be hooked 2 times) and hit the obsession 4 times to make this work, but also acquired all 5 gens done and someone (also preferably the obsession) to have a key to open the hatch so you can closed it, triggering the endgame collapse before they touch the switch. A full stacked NWO will blocked the switch for 42 secs (8×4+10), and a full stacked RM will (unless you're the obsession) increase the progress time of the switch to 36 secs (4×4+20), this will equal to 78 seconds or a minute and 18 seconds waiting for the switch to be finished. Before the gates open, downed the unlucky survivor so when they opened the gates, hooked them the third time to trigger Blood Warden, blocking the exit for a 60 secs, and killing them so the collapse timer won't be slow down for over 18 seconds (the wiggle room the NWO+RM combo gives). If this works, the time between the endgame triggering and Blood Warden deactivating will be too long for me them to escape the collapse. Of course this is flawed as hell and beyond, I just thought is cool that there is a build to do this.
I went against this build on a Hawkins map and both me and my friend died despite spending spending every moment we got when we weren't being chased going for the jigsaw boxes. The timer is just perfect enough that if you have to go to a fourth box you will just die.
Tampered Timer should be made Iri, and make survivors search all boxes on the map before taking it off BUT then the timer is increased instead. Could change the name. Hopefully Pig gets some buffs/reworks sometime in the near future.
Honestly the crate of gears and tampered timer are good but not crazy good. Like you still have to get really lucky and going out of your way to allow gens to pop when a trapped survivor is on hook can backfire so easily. Imo, the add on that gives you another RBT along with the jigsaw map that adds another box to the map is way more consistent for slowing down the game and you don’t have to really on luck as much and can pressure gens normally.
You could use Amanda's letter and camping one box to have 1 in 2 chances OR if you put Amanda's letter and one extra trap you should have at least one kill
Not going to lie. You can run no perks and no add-ons and still destroy with the Pig on all indoor maps, arguably even The Game. I feel doing this on an indoor map completely swayed the argument.
Indoor maps are a bonus to any stealth killer tbf. However, I do agree that this add-on can play marvels if the jigsaw boxes are placed far apart on a big map and that was also the point included in Otz's remark. Nonetheless, using these add-ons for a single trial, with the best map for Pig, and stating that these add-ons are OP is simply ignorant. Otz should've considered various parameters into play before coming to a hard-hitting conclusion such as this one.
Pig players used to do this back in March 2019 on a Russian tourney TTB 4 too. Despite having individual killer balances the rules still allowed it and everybody used it.
Here’s a way to buff pig and make survivors really sweat to get traps off. Make it so all traps become active when an exit gate is opened, so they will RUSH to boxes during the endgame collapse. And pig opening it adds even more risk to it, it also gives her endgame pressure, as all traps would arm.
The counterplay would be to: -be in an SWF -have an object to tell who the killer is -"i can't see them, watch your back!", learning before it is too late that they could be in trouble against two of four stealth killers -beat an M1 killer in chase until as many gens as possible are completed -have only 1 person die to tombstone piece or a reverse bear trap While this makes these are D tier against a team who know what they are doing, if survivors don't detect the killer or aren't able to chase for 3 gens, then they will likely die Though, to note, the pigs strategy only has a 1 in 3 or 4 chance of being able to 1 k against the competent team.
That tombstone addon triggers me ever since I had a solo queue game against that and the addon that keeps your tier 3 up forever but takes longer to charge. My whole team was just giving him free stalk & I died inside ;-;

Her add ons are fine. If the team coordinates and works together. They will loop the killer until they get all their bear traps off. The killers add ons and perks have been nerfed enough. Simply put. What the fuck otz?
The only reason I consider these Pig addons balanced is the fact that in the majority of cases, survivors remove their hats within 1 or 2 attempts, and that in the majority of cases, survivors can check 1 or 2 boxes before the next generator pops. In fact, if Pig's headset worked more like Trapper, having an actual 1/4th chance of getting it off rather than a virtual 1/4th chance would heavily improve her playstyle. I've had multiple matches in a row where all survivors got their headset off 1st try. If the chance was truly 1 in 4, that should happen once every 256 games. So either make the traps truly RNG, or give Amanda knowledge on which boxes have keys and which do not.
I think the reverse bear traps should be buffed so every generator done after the timer starts either takes a chunk of time away from the time remaining or makes the bear traps go faster, so it encourages more teamwork among survivors and has more gen-delay potential for the pig, but then alongside that add-ons like these get nerfed. I think this would work to instantly make pig a far more intimidating killer to go against and would make survivors either risk killing a teammate by pushing gens or risk their progress being stunted by holding off.
Had an idea for a pig rework to make her less rng based and more of time and resource management oriented my thought is that each survivor starts with a key sown into them if someone gets a trap on thetr head they must go to another survivor with a key still inside and remove it this will injury the survivor when the key is removed. The survivors only get 4 keys once its used its gone forever the pig will have 5 traps basekit. So once the 5th is placed its just a matter of time

Problem with that reasoning for pig is that it usually doesnt happens like that, in this case you purposedly went out of your way to play like this and "forced" people into finishing gens, in a regular match with pig people get unhook before that and whats even worse is that they get the key on a first try before is even active. Further more, people 99% de gens often because you might not be playing with ruin and what you end up with is just pain.. pain.. and 4 asses kissing the floor at the exit, maybe if you had some luck just 2 but mostly pain
The problem with this addon is that it got released 4 1/2 years ago, where you could still mori people after downing them. At that time it was still balanced, because you had insta gens and people would usually take 4 insta gens and pop all with only 1 left. then he would kill usually the guy he was chasing after and the rest will escape. After all the nerfs this is the only broken addon left untouched by reworks.
I'm glad Otz exposes OP killer's stuff too. As surv main some match ups are hella fun but others are absolute trash. It's incredible the extreme difference between high and low tiers in this game. So thanks Otz, fair and square
Tampered Timer definitely needs a nerf but I don't know about Crate of Gears. I personally like Crate more for the quick setting and bit of extra slowdown. Maybe make it increase the timer a small bit so it hardly affects the deadliness of the traps.
The amount of slowdown that those traps offer is ridiculous and on top of that it gives Pig something else to camp and they DO! It should require 1 box halfway across the map plain and simple.
honestly pig traps never kill anyone for me, players almost always all stop doing gens and start hunting keys to get the things off their head, even solo queue people stop doing gens when they see a timer on someone, and they usually get the key on the first box. pig is just straight up weak as hell and needs a lot of her tools rolled into her as standard - like ruleset 2, combat straps, and broken syringe should always be active. it's wayyyy too common for survivors to roll lucky and get rid of their party hat before it even turns active, to the point her power feels like one of the worst, and don't get me started on how awful ambush is, it should probably let you auto vault windows and pallets during the rush.
First change I'd make would be to make the trap timer save progress just like how they did for doctor madness breaking out. Any further changes I'm welcome to suggestions but this one change would make it so so so much better from being instant death if you get interrupted just once.
So, very often what game developers do when it comes to things like this is rather than making new add-ons and having to think of creative and interesting playstyles for current killers, that often just becomes the concept for a new killer pitch. It increases their profit, people get a new killer so the general audience is happy (haha just kidding, the fucking DBD community is a joke), and they get to be lazy for some time. They've executed it before though, don't get me wrong. For example, off the top of my head I can think of two killers that playstyles are entirely changed based on add-ons. You have dream pallet Freddy and Perma-tier 1/2 Myers. Pallet Freddy isn't too creative, if not outright boring, but from the builds I've seen Otz make for Tier 1/2 Myers it definitely changes the whole playstyle of his character. Obviously things like perks also can give you this satisfaction of playing a killer in a new and interesting way, not every build has to play into their strengths. ... In summary, yeah me too.
that myers round was disgusting, normally if Myers has that add-on, I would DENY him of any opportunity to stalk, but these survivors seem to think different they should really make it so that tombstone and tombstone piece degrade evil within in tier 2, so that you need to aggressively stalk in order to be able to kill

When I had to do a kill challenge for the pig I did Tampered + extra jigsaw box, and got put on the swamp. I got two kills without even patrolling the jigsaw boxes. Felt so evil.
I played against those myers add-ons before for the first time about a week ago... I didn't know they existed and thought they were hacking at first lmaooo
They dont need to fix the addon just change the pig mechanic in that if pig hits survivor that has trap it resets or even doubles trap timer. Nothing is worse than having a trap , tried 3x to get it off and failed and then just enough time to go for last and pig downs u. Now u basically got no more time to remove trap.
Experienced this as survivor awhile back (before Autohaven was changed) & I messaged the killer saying how busted it was that I literally didn’t have time to make it to all of the boxes. I think they may have interrupted once (maybe) completely OP.
