There wont be other gate types You can dial the gate with open computers, the it looks like in the show with the spinning ring

But gate's could be powered up with fusion generators or fissle fuel generators(atomic energy) or even with gas burning energy if you'd build enough from them. Also it would be a great addition to the mekanism pack because at a certain point you get so much energy that you don't know where to put it in other than storing it. Also you could use the mekanism cable's to transfer the power to the gate. It would be so nice everyone would love to have it integrated in mekanism. Imagine building cities with mekanism and using the energy for lights street lanterns and everything else and then powering up stargates to connect the cities with each other.

Yeah, you can charge the gates using Mekanism cables, you need to place them there, where the gate blocks are.... (Infront, behind, or next to, or above and below....)
