The boat consumes SO much fuel that it actually has to float in it's own fuel supply. The entire lake you see there is just a giant, open-air, fuel tank, and the boat has inlet grills on the bow that just suck the fuel in and consume it, kind of like how most boats suck in water for cooling. You know you're running low on fuel when you start running a ground and bottoming out on sandbars. 😂
@@1nvisible1hard to say…. I would „think“ in that era the port engine would run reverse rotation. Being this was a specialty boat it may have a reverse rotation drive.
I was thinking something similar.... except I was like -this is the guy who was served two separate divorce papers from two different women at the same time!
@@GamingWithNikolascontrol? It's like a dragster, point it in one direction and keep it going that way, just make sure nothing is in that direction first lol
This boat is called the Miss America VIII and was build in 1929 to be the fastest boat on planet earth. It is fitted with twin V16 Miller engines that combined deliver approx. 3.600 horsepower. In 1931 it topped out at 104mph on the Harlem river. Even though that is eye watering fast - especially for its time - the boat never obtained any actual world speed record. It did however win the Harmsworth trophy twice. It was designed and build by Gar Wood and Napoleon Lisee. Lastly, the current world speed record on water is 317.6mph. Achieved by Ken Warby in his Spirit of Australia in 1978.
Buddy I'll pass where the jell is ya fishing poles supposed to go and hell.s gt 150 Johnson is a poor boys nightmare on gas money it doesn't leave no worm money he'll I guess they wasn't np use to worry about poles was they you sure don't got bait money left damn 😂
Humans alone aren't the only cause of all the heat! The earth is warming up by itself and we are helping but it will get warmer as the years go on even without us as the sun continues to shine into earth and the movements of the earth and sun getting a little closer and the moon drifting further apart. Volcanos will become more active in the future also as it gets warmer and all of the ice melts on the poles and the water rises all across the globe.
@miksedk Yes, but 2 is also the largest number of fools likely to willingly climb into this beast at any given time. Any additional space is given over to the balls of said fools.
@@СтаниславВасильев-г6лnope it’s gas my guy. They have carburetors on top which is why if you look he pumps the gas pedal twice which is how you pump the first shot of gasoline into it to fire up
thats AI. sound from a flight prop starmotor and kombined with v8 starting... between that kind... thats all would more and massive more, destrukt all kind of all ... 2 eyes and look like an seaeagle more than everytime before.... greetz
@@gregoryrobb2695 yes they are kind of like a torque converter but with air that winds it up... although now I come to think of it, maybe it isn't an air starter as I cannot hear any air exhausting from it... so yes it does sound more like a kinetic (inertia) type :)

the opening scene of the italian job is a man driving a lamborgini muria down a windy cliffside road into the front of a digger bucket what does this boat have to do with that exactly?
What's even crazier is that it seems to be the exhaust gas pushing down the boat, must be in the idle position during the start up (no water moving at the back of the boat).
@@troypisano5409 that might be the dumbest thing I’ve ever read. a boat is not a car. My car doesn't wobble at all when it fires up. the exhaust stacks are oriented perfectly to cause the boat to rock as it fires up. Exhaust thrust is real, and WW2 fighters gained multiple mph in speed as a result of it.
You keyboard guys are off stroke. Exhaust cfm may help but the harmonics of the crank causes the most deflection of the hull. Racers know this. I have a 355 sbc in a 80 Camaro that has come off jackstands on me from reving learning the hard way. That was concrete to metal frame the solid motor mounts and no give just think this boat is on water, a displaceable surface. I’d like to see it at speed for sure. Hope vids are coming.
Same the Torque Roll is REAL.. Imagine How much left Rudder you would need to maintain a Straight Line because of the Prop Walk.. 💪👍🤪 That Would Be A WILD RIDE INDEED..❤
I'm just curious why he even wanted 2 like 1 just wasn't enough?😂 there's more motor than boat right there he can't even move from bow to stern or vice versa
Bro casually got 32 cylinders rawdogging racing fuel over coral reefs, meanwhile I gotta have 4 catalytic converters on my baby weight V6 just to pass inspection in the middle of the country lol
In michigan we dont have inspections, you can drive the biggest pos falling apart no exhaust having pile of rust possible lol half the cars here are held together with duct tape and zip ties or hopes and dreams 😅
And then there’s the numb nuts who comment. This vintage boat doesn’t POLLUTE the water unless the shaft seals leak, which I doubt they do. Appreciate some fine engineering history.
@@ysnxnikee8897The point he's making is the guy didn't scare the shit out of himself -- the owner would be quite familiar with the engine firing up. The jolt you see from the owner is him trying to "catch" the engine to sustain the idle after fire-up.
