@@thefilmwhisperer1105 flash can literally save 1000s in few seconds josswhedon didn't know that I guess or he was naive to do that and underpower him like marvel does
@@ashutoshtiwary9605 Lol. Marvel literally took Quicksilver halfway out of the plot in "Days of Future Past", because he could single-handedly solve all their problems. And it's fair to say that we saw a slower version of him in "Age of Ultron"* *(previous version of my comment said he was in "Civil War) Yeah, the guy with Superspeed in any universe probably has the potential to become very OP. That's why we're getting a younger, inexperienced Flash for now... I stopped watching "The Flash" TV show after the whole "Flashtime" episode. I mean, the guy literally has no excuse to ever have a villain somehow DIRECTLY hit him...from the FRONT...when he's fully prepared and ready to fight, and looking AT you! Just...no, no, it shouldn't happen. He's able to jump from timeline-to-timeline and from different universe-to-universe, and bring people to/from there...and TRANSFER THAT ABILITY TO OTHER PEOPLE...for almost whole damn episode (40 minutes, give or take a minute). So I stopped tolerating ANY villain still being able to beat him so easily. Okay, sure, if you can get the drop on him FROM BEHIND, that's one thing. But nothing should directly get him from the front when he's standing there READY.
@@thefilmwhisperer1105 hahahahah, this is what I've been thinking about Flash recently like seriously, how tf did that villain smacked your face when you've been doing this for how many seasons now? I didn't keep track but I do know there's a star wars saber fight between flash and reverse flash. Man, I'm out.
Batman’s perfect plan turns sideways : *agreeable, not all of his plan works smoothly all the time* Batman and Alfred lose their cool about it and still made into the movie : *WB, we need to talk*
Flash in the cut cares about Bruce, he was nervous when Bruce didn't answer. While in Whedon cut "You know if she kills you wE'lL CoVeR FoR hEr, RiGhT?"
@@TRSleekZ12 sucks? No...their dialogue in ZSJL is more serious and consistent. If you call it short or few: Yes. Make rooms for more action battle frames
Just goes to show how great of a director Whedon is. He really knows how to take something and turn it into a complete pile of hot shit. Bless him. I hope he never makes another film.
the whole civilians in danger could have worked if: 1- it wasn't in a nuclear radiated area 2- show more people in danger instead of just that damn same russian family
Oh he did number 2 actually....only for a half second, that is. Dude cut most of the action frames including the civilians and didn’t even cover the continuation
@@narukamishirou284 yeah, only in one frame we see other civilians, and is only a second, and we just see them run and never see them again if they even Made it out
Actually there's a single exception, which is the ''Why does everyone keep telling me that?'' from Steppenwolf. That said, the Steppenwolf from Snyder would never say it since he's all about family, so I'm still glad they didn't have him say it in the Snydercut.
6:55 Seriously? We missed out on that?! That team up shot in my opinion is one of the most glorious things I’ve ever seen in a superhero film, and they removed it. I’m gonna go with the theory that Joss agreed to do this to make his Avengers films look better (and I hate to admit this, I do like them). Had the shots been shown in theaters, it would have been a spectacle to behold, and they mucked that up.
I'm sorry, I love the Snyder Cut but that particular shot is one of the worst shots in the film in terms of CGI quality and how unnaturally forced it feels.
i just realized how it makes no frickin sense in josstice league when batman crashes his plane he's suddenly in the batmobile driving out 😂 when he's literally in the cockpit a second ago
@@azrael_morningstar The reason he killed off Quicksilver was because they can only use the character for one movie, other than that, his current self is a sh*tty director. What in the world happened to him anyway? The Avengers cast got along with him 2012, but why didn’t he got along with the Justice League cast? I’m so confused.
@@azrael_morningstar I know about that. What I meant was what lead him to this change? Was he actually like this in the beginning? Or is it because he’s blinded by the popularity and money?
*In the Josstice League* he was suicidal - - in the *Snyder Cut* I thought “Damn he’s actually about to die - is he suicidal like the other version?” Turns out he wasn’t - and just knew he brought enough gadgets and tech to take on an alien army.. that’s the most Batman shit I’ve ever seen.
well, he was suicidal as well, snyder told on a interview once that batman was ready to die doing the right thing the difference is that in the snyder cut he was more like: "Imma take this whole army on my own or die trying" in the josstice league: "I just wanna die cause..yeah? also I'm not really trying to survive at all"
Important Detail: There's a rule in Cinematography, Show Don't Say, In Josstice League, when you hear the line< "This isn't the plan, this is the team" it breaks that rule. Zack Snyder knew the power of that rule, so he didn't add some corny one liner explaining how they were a team, he SHOWED us it was the TEAM.
Did Wheddon's team really think Batman would be stupid enough to figure out how to attract alien creatures but never figure out how to defeat them once he did that?
Well that’s the writing that delivered a turd of Batman in josstice league, along with him being Tony stark, and adding the weak line yep something is bleeding, joss ruined Batman
Well, technically ZSJL came first for the theatre production. Whedon took over and did the final editing for the final theatrical cut *IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN COOL AND WE COULD HAVE HAD THIS BACK IN 2017*
The thing what I like about the SnyderCut is that the team actually care for each other. In the 2017 version, there was kind of like a lot of roasting? Kind of like MCU, and that's the thing what I like about SnyderCut, it's that they don't fight each other. Unlike MCU they tend to have arguments and not like each other, I like that and I think that belongs to the MCU. Like if you see a team in MCU, there's a chance that there's gonna be an argument. The DC SnyderCut is different because they actually care for each other. I like the difference. Especially the part where Barry was actually concerned for Bruce :')
Arguments & care for partners depends on the characters & their moments, Batman is not Tony Stark & Tony Stark is not Batman. Changing their tones will ruin them & won't replicate each-others success. MCU's major arguments in the team has always been centered around Stark's & Steve's prespectives to handle situations differently because of their contrasting personalities since the first Avengers to Civil War that had deep ramification in 3rd & 4th Avengers & continues in the future as well(WandaVision - A superhuman going boundaryless & TFATWS- U.S. senate selecting John Walker as next Capain America), other than that, there has been a lot of caring moments for each other in almost every movie be it Natasha for Cap, Hawkeye/Nat for each other or Cap & Tony for each other.
@@5150Amrit That is true, but I do like how they argue in the MCU. I mean you'll most likely argue with your teammates, it's realistic (to me at least).
@@snickbiordking5748 it is realistic if you are not part of a team because you wanted to. the difference between DC/justice league and the MCU is that the justice league CHOOSE to fight together to save the planet, the avengers were kinda forced into that position, so while the avengers are more like a team that are not friends(at least in the first movie), the justice league are more like friends united for a common objective
I'm glad you got that "roasting each other" point from 1st avengers film, which I personally find it to be cringe on many level(no hate to one who likes it)... and I wonder why people still ask in comment " "why" whedon edited out " this or that" scene... It's not that difficult to understand, WB wanted him to make DC avenger film and not DC JL... whedon butchered and disrespected the work of cinema on a level which too low to be measured... can't imagine what was he offered by WB or whomever...
You can roast your team, but it's only believable if they've been a well established one. I could buy the Avengers making fun of each other in scenes like the Age of Ultron party because the audience has had time to get used to them on screen. The first Avengers was less convincing, but I'll accept the reason being that the scepter was messing with their minds. In Josstice League, we have no connection to the team other than Batman, Superman, and maybe Wonder Woman. These guys are just being assholes to each other for no good reason. In the Snyder Cut, the team isn't arguing for no good reason, because they recognize that there is a serious threat to their world that is imminent. They have to get together for that main reason. But, they also learn and grow close to each other over the course of the movie.
Superman holding a kryptonite spear: I told you, you'd die for that. Darkseid: B....b...but wha.... Darkseid's eyes glow red: But what is brunch? Henry Cavill realizes he's in the wrong cut: No!
Every time I watch this video comparisons about the Justice League Movie I ask myself how can WB say the Josstice League (2017) is cannon and not Zack Snyde's Justice League (2021). #RestoreTheSnyderVerse
The real reason to that is that the next movies (Black adam, Flash, shazam 2and aquaman 2) already started right after josstice league and from 2017-20 theres no zack snyder cut yet so....
it´s interesting that some scenes from the Josstice League is also from Snyder, even if those scenes didn´t show up in the Snyder Cut. The League looking at Batman flying away in his ship is still something that Snyder shot.
Let's face it, everything spectacular about this movie was Snyder's work. Joss and WB fucked the entire thing over and gave us the hot mess on the right.
Josstice League: pLaYiNg AlL yOuR fAvOuRiTe HiTs Every time I see this kind of comparison I wish for Flash to move us all to the point in the multiverse where the Snyderverse is made and the post-2017 DCEU is jettisoned in to the heart of the Sun.
The only line I love from Josstice League is when Cyborg said " Ride ain't over yet". And the line I hate the most is when Batman said " I'm not the one who brought the pitch fork". He made Batman sounds like a kid.
Whedon turned Bruce Wayne to a discount Tony Stark. Tony may acts like an a-hole, but he still has charisma. Bruce in Josstice League acts like an a-hole without charisma, thus made him looked like a high school bully. "Do you talk to fish?" "Did Steve Trevor tell you that?" "I'm not the one who brought a pitchfork." The worst line of all.... "Jesus, he's tall" as he saw Steppenwolf. Bruh... he faced Doomsday just months before. Doomsday was bigger than Steppenwolf, yet he was still shocked when he saw Steppenwolf. WTF!?
6:35 - 7:00 That, THAT is one of the biggest difference between the Snydercut and Josstice League. It's that scene in the Snydercut, boosted by the fitting score, that says what the whole JL is about - unity. And it pays off really well than what we got in 2017.
Snyder Cut: Parademons get blown, cut, and crushed. Blood splashed out of them. Limbs teared and ripped. Whedon Cut: anything happens to the Parademons they still in one piece like even Wonder Woman’s sword didn’t cut them through and Batman’s bomb looks like from Tom & Jerry. No body parts damaged but spray green blood
I mean, what can you even say? The differences between both of these are both vast and subtle. Joss took these scenes Zack made and made them look bland, ugly, boring. Even some little scenes take their time during the fight to make it feel more engaging and believable. Also Jesus, we were robbed of that incredible slo mo shot with all of them together for a horrendous line? "This isn't the plan" "No sir, it's the team" *Insert confused Jackie Chan face*
It was actually there but since the action frame was cut short and the color theme is too bright, it was probably too quick for your eyes after being constantly annoyed by the flashy color At least, that’s my case
When he said "That's why i brought you together" I suddenly remember that one animated movie Justice league doom when he said "i do have a plan, it's called Justice League" Damn Bruce the leader that people need
I just love the score in ZSJL. I hated a lot of JL 2017's score. Flash's theme was just a different version of CW's flash. I'm kinda sad that Flash 2022 will have that score and yellow lightning.
I love Danny Elfman to death but his music unfortunately didn’t fit tonality with JL. I was happy at first when he announced he was bringing his BM theme back, but they couldn’t do that right had there was too many loud explosions to hear it.
The 2017 score felt simultaneously out of place and fit right in. For one thing, the 80s/90s esque orchestra clashed with all of the surrounding chaos. It almost felt like a fan edit. On the other hand, knowing the shitty movie we’d been watching for the last hour and a half, you already expected some stupid one liner from the likes of Batman to go with the music.
Zack did wonder woman justice by actually making her fly better than the ww82 movie overall this entire movie is a masterpiece in deserves so much more
"Whatever you see, stick to the plan. It's why I bought you together." I think this line was foreshadowing Batman's death in JL2, where he would face Darkseid alone to save Lois. I'd bet that line would have repeated. A big subtext of ZSJL was Batman making peace with letting go, passing the baton to the JL
Well now we won’t get to see that come to fruition, if the leaks are true that Batfleck will die in the Flash movie and be replaced by Keaton. While I don’t like every single element of Snyder’s DCEU, he had a whole plan and fans seemed to respond well to it. What did WB have to gain from squandering something so cool?
@@marsayde1237 Unfortunately, yea. I'm sure that Batman dying in JL2 would have been controversial anyway. But I think it would have had genuine weight to it, and people would have accepted it. (And the Deathstroke movie and the Batman prequel they had planned would have placated people wanting more Batfleck.) I think that they're probably gonna try to ride that wave in The Flash. Try to make Batman's death feel meaningful, and vaguely connected to ZSJL. The problem is that narratively it's probably gonna be clunky because the reasons Batman has to lay down his life willingly in JL2 don't really carry across to The Flash. In JL2, IMO, it would have been the culmination of so much thematically. I won't judge until I see it. I want The Flash to be a good movie. But I have a nagging feeling that his death in The Flash will feel way less emotionally moving than what might have been. Hey, I like Keaton. Good for Keaton. But contriving a way to replace Affleck with Keaton like this feels cynical, and inorganic. Also, Cyborg's absence from The Flash due to the conflict between Fisher and WB really hurts because his relationship with Flash in ZSJL is so important, and would have carried so much weight in The Flash.
Man, they really did their damnedest to shave the movie down as much as possible, didn't they? Every shot is cut in half, and of course Joss just had to give the "angry black man" WB execs referred to as little screen time as necessary.
Whedon Steppenwolf: Ah, let them come. Snyder Steppenwolf: Kill him! Defend the unity! Assuming Steppenwolf was still trying to go home in Josstice League, why the hell would he let in the people trying to stop him?
this comparison really made me see how much better batman is in the snydercut. He is more like a legit human being in a suit that has no powers but still manages to do his best and help people. I love how down to earth he is in this version. He makes for a much more believable character.
i find it funny that whedon directed both age of ultron and justice league simply because of how he did both flash and quicksilver as speedsters dirty (as well as destroy any semblance of a good movie that was snyder’s og cut). mans really took out Flash turning back time to save the world and replaced it with some generic russian family and pushing a fucking truck while also making Barry, an intelligent and bright minded character, not know where east is. he took Quicksilver, someone who canonically is known to run faster than radio waves (a form of light) into an idiotic, unthinking side character who apparently can but also can’t see bullets in slow motion, and then gets stupidly gunned down when in reality he could’ve outmaneuvered Ultron blindfolded. I’m very happy for Snyder and the restoration of his original cut because it does Flash so much justice. Unfortunately I cannot say the same for Quicksilver, who could’ve potentially become among the most interesting MCU characters but had a shitty twist death just because Whedon needed to “up the stakes.” Side note: this isn’t a contest between Flash and Quicksilver or anything. When I was younger I was personally more of a Marvel fan and I still knew Flash was faster and could easily beat Quicksilver. I’m only comparing Whedons disastrous effects on the speedster heroes
@@3Guys1Video it should have atleast been a logical death. He died to the one thing Speedsters are known to bully. We could've easily gotten a scene in which Quicksilver was having a cool shot of moving the bullets in slow motion.
I made the horrible mistake of rewatching Josstice League the other weekend. It literally hurt so bad I immediately said screw it, I'm not sleeping. Then I began watching the Black and White version of Zack Snyder's Justice League to cleanse my eyes in purity.1
@@BlitzStudiosIsinsideyourhome Not really there were not much differences only some scenes deleted and some scenes added which were deleted+ improved vfx
So the Josstice League is like Dragon Ball Z Kai because of the fast cuts. But the Snyder Cut is like Dragon Ball Super with those normal cuts. Sorry if that’s confusing!
6:56 man how you even can think of deleting that shot right there omg. And I love that you are calling it Josstice League, I think everyon should call it that way.
removing that scene at 6:55 was absolutely criminal. I often think that he (whedon) was biased knowing that this ZS cut would have been better than his Avengers movies. i know some may call bs on that but i like what i like.
This is exactly like how I leave my team to do a powerpoint, but they make it look like shit with blurryass pics and pointless info. And then I come in and basically redo everything.
Say what you will in the lack of consistency this Batman has in hitting all four of the key parts that make Batman truly great (resolve, reservation, strength, intellect), which is more of a DCEU problem, but if this is the build up to a possible redemption for him in that, I am in all the way on this. His dedication to righting wrongs and saving the world, despite such a broken past and being beaten to the point of abandoning his morals, shows that there is still a little bit of the core Batman we know still ticking deep down. God I wish the Snyderverse would keep going so we could see that.
I’ll never forgive WB or Whedon for making me wait four years for 6:55 this shot. The only thing I even like about Whedons version is the colour grading and that’s only cause it’s pretty otherwise 🙄 Thank god Zac got to do his vision 🔥
6:50 why would you leave that out, josh? You know how important a team up is... it builds the character of the justice league as a whole. The only thing i liked from the whole video from joss' side was: Ride aint over it...
@@koek1122 instead of having the whole team action in one slowmo shot, he would rather have Alfred said it. I mean WHY though? You did the same thing in Age of Ultron, now you get offended that another director actually made the same thing as you did? Snydercut whole team shot -> 4 seconds Cyborg’s “You’re welcome” plus Alfred’s “No, Master Wayne...This is the team” -> 15 seconds or so And Whedon said he saved Justice League?
They went marvel mode and f up how dark the series was suppose to be. Took out almost all kill scenes and added a Russian family near a nuclear plant. Like really?
It’s crazy how these are both extremes when it come s to run time. ZSJL has so much that could be cut/trimmed down and Josstice league needs more time to show stuff
