@@flashzune No, his name is Orin in Flashpoint. Not Arthur. That tells me Atlanna gave birth to him in Atlantis and kept her infidelity a secret. Doesn't look like he ever lived on the surface.
@@ayman6733 black manta shouldn’t have even been a challenge for him, he’s faster and almost as skilled as Batman plus he has a healing factor and can process things faster than regular people. Black manta is a well trained human in a scuba suit that shoots lasers, deathstroke should kill him easily
@@mr.lostrythm7876 rather pathetic really. The man prides himself so much on his intellect but instantly gets himself and his most important allies killed in a recon mission that could have been accomplished by expendable units. Pretty stupid plan actually, the fact that he was right means nothing
@@42Nightsyesterday And they have something called "sci-fi" and "plot" in their side. Do you think Aquaman is dumb? He probably has better communication and one or two ways of dealing with radiocommunication, I mean, he is practically a radar
"That's a lot of death, even for me". When a mercenary with hundreds, possibly thousands of kills says "that's a lot of death", you know some serious shit has gone down.
Plus, my personal opinion, Slade kills targets, his missions, his objectives. Not innocents. If he ain't in the contract, he won't kill you. So seeing an entire country underwater with how much death truly is a lot of innocent victim deaths.
Of course lol Deathstroke is an assassin, not a mass murderer or terrorist. He doesn't use excessive force, chaos and unncessary destruction, and avoid collateral damage as long as possible.
its movies like this that make me REALLY side with Lex luthor on the whole "Humanity needs to stand on its own two feet and not rely on the powers of aliens and other factions that at any moment could go rogue and wipe us off the face of the planet"
I have kind of always supported this thinking of Luthor when he is not being tryhardingly forced to be a psyco jelly and instead goes more pure on this ideology. He is right.
@@buttAttack does wonder woman count as a human? I don't really see her as human, more as alien race like superman but having human features. she could be consider meta human though, but idk..
@Mpeyemp ! but when the world needed him most he vanished years later me and my brother found the new master of the speedforce a young time traveller named bart allen
***** True, but It's not the justice league. Apparently the Flash going back in time to save his mother ends up completely changing history so drastically that some heroes are villains.
Despite how extremely dark this storyline is, its kinda cool to see characters outright killing each other. Makes it much more realistic and tense cause you dont know who would be next
@@thegoldensilver7486 about 5 times fucking darker. I was O____O the whole time. Like jesus. But I feel like some of people who should have lasted longer, died the fastest. But what I find sorta stupid imo, if they knew they was going to DARKSEID'S Fucking home turf, wouldnt they logically planned that shit much much better KNOWING what he is capable of?
It's sad that outside of Teen Titans, this is the only other time Ron Perlman's been brought in to voice Deathstroke. Feels like a lot of missed opportunities if you ask me.
Just gives off such a sinister intelligence, so disappointed they arent going to him but i 100000000000% guarantee its because of money and a lot of voice actors arent paid as high as you would think and pearlman being an actor would cost much more to use his time rather then most other VA's
Yeah. Although, they were looking for Aquaman's doomsday device, so they could have a chance to stop it. It literally can destroy the whole world. If you wanna avoid that, you gotta take risks. That's my humble opinion. I doubt that they could've done it while flying since the device was deep underwater.
@ The Werewolf The only name I don't recognize there is "tempest." Haven't seen the recent YJ episodes yet, but I think that's Garth standing next to Aqua lad at 2:29. I guess he's Tempest?
@Donzel Romaire Baldicano not to be that guy but I'm pretty sure aquaman had gigantic monsters as well(hell they looked much larger than anything than what wonder woman had) granted they are sea creatures. I'm just surprised that they didn't chose to actually weaponize captain atom in some other way.
@Jesus Anaya that's some bullcrap. Atlantians are bulletproof with advanced armours and technology. Amazonians have nothing of that and still uses bow and arrow in a laser gun fight
It's been a while since I watched this movie, but I'm pretty sure the Atlanteans would have won if they were JUST up against the Amazons. Its just that Wonder Woman was a beast and could kill Aquaman.
knowing lex that pistol was firing some special bullets and likely so was the heavier guns of the ship. Honestly suprised the atlantean ship didnt just come up right under and comepletly flip the boat and make the fight underwater where the atleanteans were even stronger or just destroy the boat with some sorta beam weapon
When it comes to alternate timelines and multiverse, does Lex Luthor always end up as one of the good guys when Superman is evil or simply not arround?
Luthor is not exactly a bad guy, how would you feel if all your life you helped the world make a better place with money and intelligence and then suddenly some alien comes in and all the people cheer him instead.
It's because he's not insane, just egotistical and power-hungry. It's easy for there to be another greater evil that wants to destroy the whole earth, which Luthor won't stand for.
Deathstroke is such a savage in this scene. Had the crew of the Ravager not been ambushed by Atlantis, I'd say they had a pretty good shot of completing their mission.
The costume design for Garth and Kaldur here is spectacular. Imagine if Aquaman actually did have two sidekicks at the same time in Garth and Kaldur'ahm. Both their skills complement each other and would make the 3 of them a powerful team.
Actually deathstrokes swords are made outta prometheum which is like vibra ada in marvel comics but just dc. Case in point his swords and other objects made outta the same stuff where the only weapons that could kill hurt the dark knights metal batmen.
it's kind of a shame how aquaman has a lot of notible characters from his stories aqualad garth and kaldur, aquagirl, ocean master, black manta. and all wonder woman has is persophone and artemis. I wish somehow donna and cassie excisted and were on her side too, maybe even cheetah
I kind of like when Lex Luthor plays the good guy, I almost cried on crysis on infinite earths when he tell the monkey pet Harley that the joker is not coming back
I wouldn’t have sent a ship crewed with my top strategist, top assassin, and a high profile shape shifter to a major enemy port. I would have sent a Drone or a Drone fleet (aka lots of small fast boats) with appropriate sensory gear in a net link formation. To avoid this, you know, a massive loss of a quality force.
its possible if overlooked that deathstroke could regenerate with his healing factor (if he had it in this universe) its limited.. so depend how much damage that blast did... other than him clayface could of survived that encounter as well
He faces an underwater civilization and god-powered Amazons and he still doesn't think to build a powersuit because it's not Superman he is fighting? That's crap.
Different timeline, weaker characters on human side and much stronger characters on Atlantian side. For example: Superman was never a hero or known among people , so Lex remained a good guy and never tried to make powerful weapons which can kill beings like Superman.
They put up one hell of a fight but the odds where against them fighting in the middle of the ocean. Even if Deathstrokes crew gained the upper hand Aquaman would’ve just came out and ended real quick.
Rob Stefani should’ve brought him back for Young Justice. New voice actors they got are generic sounding. Perlman injected personality into any role he plays.
Being able to survive at the bottom of the ocean AND on regular land is a super badass power and then you factor the ability to communicate with all the fishes and jellies and shaaks and dorifin and wharu (and even a badass trident hand in some runs) Aquaman is hella underrated
Having Aquaman's foes Ocean Master and Black Manta as his elite was golden . I could see that if they reformed in mainstream earth or alternate earth .
Wouldn't it have been awesome to see Deathstroke fight in the end battle in the movie? That would have been a cooler death too, instead of the lame one that he could have easily avoided.
@Xpgamer Jr Do they ever say that I'm assuming that he died anyway because even if he did live they probably sunk the ship so he probably drowned or got blown into pieces
I believe they deliberately gave such cool characters like Lex, Shazam, deathstroke tragic death so that audience can feel how tragic and fucked up this timeline is! It hit me right in the feels when i saw this film for the first time.
@@butterman8059 In the comics this was based on he survives, because he still has his healing powers. He wakes up some time later after the Atlanteans leave and then goes on to rescue his daughter Rose.
Yeah in the comics Deathstroke can survive anything short of complete incineration, maybe. He has survived a nuke, several head shots, a vacuum, and hell itself.
+AMV Dragon In the comics, this fight never happened. Flashpoint Deathstroke never died, he went out here to find his daughter. One of the three villains you see on the ship, (Sonar, Icicle Jr., and Clayface) mutinied, and he was forced to kill him. They then left Atlantean waters.
Didn't reach much of DC's comics growing up so this movie was a total surprise to me when I watched it ages ago. Loved it and it's still one of the best.
As dark as this was, Justice League Dark: Apokolips War somehow manages to exceed the gore and brutality of this movie. Nothing like seeing some fav characters murdered to leave you shook.
The Atlantean already won the battle as soon as their giant most powerful sea vassals appeared. There weren't any need for a hand to hand fight with the naval ships.
As much as I love the DC animated movies, little things like that really bug me. Orm taking the Justice league to town in the next animated universe, or Batman losing to Talon. Just frustrating
Flashpoint paradox is one of the DC Universe things that made me love Deathstroke Others are Young Justice, DC Rebirth Deathstroke comic, and Arkham Origins
This was the start of one of the best animated superhero movies ever, the action and gore is just that good as a starting point, not as intense as anime out there, but it's still very good
Oh plz This is different timeline when batman becomes killer, cyborg working for government, hal never have a green lantern ring so why do u susprise the fact that deathstroke doesn’t have healing factor at this timeline
HORSESNDOGS9 Even if you can predict it, if they are pointed at you and fired unless you can move faster than light speed there really isn't anything you can do.
@@killebee6183 from what I know his regeneration isn't instant, and even then, black manta's eye beams can destroy entire boats, deathstroke was screwed the second he got caught off guard
That's because it's almost definitely Sonar. The Atlantian army is made up of Atlantians and other characters associated with them, but the Ravager is Deathstroke's pirate ship consisting of mostly main universe villains... of which Vibe is not. Plus, Sonar is part of Deathstroke's crew in the comics version of Flashpoint too.
No idea. Pretty sure he’d rather cut his dick off with a rusty spoon than stand next to Arthur and not kill him. I’m guessing his origin was changed a bit here
People tend to forget Aquaman can actually wipe out every living form outside the sea, but human race is lucky he kinda cares for them, but always more for atlanteans.
