Justice League: The New 52 Omnibus Volume 1 Overview 

I like to listen to Omar's soothing voice describing a new Omnibus after I had a shitty day at work. Instantly makes me feel better.

My wife ordered this for me yesterday for Father’s Day. Looking forward to it!

This gives me a ton of nostalgia. New 52 is the reason I got into comics. I was 16 at the time, I think it doesn’t deserve the hate it gets, there’s brilliant stories throughout it!

Me: I don’t need this New 52 JL omni. Omar: Does an overview of New 52 JL omni. Me: I need the New 52 JL omni.

I'm definitely hoping that there's a volume 2 coming out soon. I really want to have the whole New 52 JL run in omnibus format. Also hoping for a Darkseid War reprint since I missed out.

That omni is now on my wishlist! I love how they included Shazam in there!

I'm not worried we won't get a volume 2 for one reason: Geoff Johns. Undoubtedly one of the top 3 DC writers of all-time, his stuff consistently sells well.

Nice, I'm glad to hear that all of John's Justice League of America issues are collected here. Initial listings just had the Trinity War issues.

I absolutely love this run, it's what got me into comics in the first place and I haven't looked back. I have read many, many comics since then, but this whole run from beginning to Darkseid War is still my favorite ride.

Got my copy ordered from cheap graphic novels just now! That volume 2 can't come soon enough. Justice League Of America's final issues will be in there. It was 8 to 14. Matt Kindt took over and it was a tie-in with Forever Evil just as the main Justice League title was. I just hope that it collects the Forever Evil mini series. But it's looking good as seeing how much was collected in this. I was shocked they even did the Shazam backups. Love that two page spread by Ivan Reis of the League fighting Martian Manhunter. This run is so great but I do miss Manhunter being a founding member. Thank you Omar! Take care and peace.

My favorite Justice League run (I’ve yet to read Scott Snyder’s run). I’m stoked to see vol. 2 will be out mid 2022. I hope this gives the run some of the credit it deserves as I feel it is under appreciated for being as good as it is. I’m also happy to see how they mapped both this and vol. 2 out to include the entire arc with JL Dark and all the other tie ins. Also vol. 2 includes the Earth 3 Forever Evil tie in. Great job as the series isn’t compete without those issues.

I only have a few omnibuses because they are so expensive and I don’t want to keep asking my mom for stuff but if there is a conformation of a second one, I know what all I’m asking for for Christmas lol

YES ! sooooo looking forward to these, glad I held back getting the trades and deluxe box sets as I had a feeling it would be released in OMNI format :) So excited, the artwork, story everything about the book is a must have to add to my collection. Apart from the obvious JIM LEE artwork which is a big selling point, the art by other artists is on point and fantastic, really digging it and cant wait to crack this bad boy open !!! Glad I preordered this early via Angus & Robertson as this book is sold out on the website and only available via backorder. Waiting for mine to patiently come in the mail :) Enjoy for those who are getting this book, its a great read.

I got into comics at 13 because of New 52, and due to grant Morrison's action comic and Geoff Johns green lantern,and I still.like comics,so yeah cheers to you,I will get this book,also this one is a really well put together book with necessary tie ins.Aquaman,ZSJL,Shazam are all based on Geoff Johns book,which is crazy

Buying this one next week when Wolverine Vol 2 omnibus comes out. Crossing my fingers it doesn't sell out in a day!

Grrrr! I wasn't planning to buy this, but man, I love the design of the dust-jacket and what's underneath. This was the first JL run I ever read, so I didn't have the problems some fans had with it back then. I used to own most of the standard hardcovers, but sold them all except for Vol 6. I never got to buy the Darkseid War Omnibus, and since it's ridiculous in the secondary market, buying this Vol 1 would help to fund a Vol 2 that should collect the rest of the run (Forever Evil, the Amazo-Virus storyline, and Darkseid War). Trigger fingers are likely going to be ready at IST tomorrow lol. The lack of page numbers and artists on the covers is annoying, but not a dealbreaker to me. I always use a bookmark and usually am just flying through the story in these books.

I'm in Italy and I hope we will get this Omnibus printed soon here as well, I always loved The New 52s being the best starting point for me to begin reading DC and I would probably get all the main characters Omnibus if they will print them... Volume 2 will come and will probably have to start with Forever Evil and end with Darkseid War, with all that there is in-between!

I'm 42 and grew up with the post-crisis Superman so this new brand teenager Superman in jeans was a real strange character to emphatize with. After many years I started to discover New52 so Thanks Omar for this excellent overviews! As a Darkseid War Omni owner, do you think the second volume of this new omni series will include it or just stop at Forever Evil? Will double dipping be inevitable for the Darkseid War omnis owners?

Hi Omar, I wasn't a fan of Zack Snyder's (and Joss Whedon's) Justice league movie, is the new 52 JL omnibus very similar to that movie? Cause i'm a little bit skeptical of getting this, I'm more of a Bruce Timm JL fan, if it's possible can you tell me what runs are more similar to that?

Hi, a few Superman questions regarding issues to read in order if possible. I have just purchased the Grant Morrison Superman new52 Omnibus, I am going to be getting the Golden Ages as well, what omnibus would I buy before the Grant Morrison & after to complete a set if possible, also as the Death or Superman omnibus is out of print do the 5 trade paperbacks for this set make up the omnibus, thanks John.

Justice League and Batman were the two monthly books I enjoyed reading back during the New 52 DC phase.

Justice League New 52Omnibus is amazing, but I would love if they would print a Absolute Justice League New 52 vol 2. But yeah I'll grab that Omni as well

It’s funny, I read Throne of Atlantis when it came out in single issue, then again with the Aquaman Omni - BUY THIS, PEOPLE - and now, again with this book. It dawns on me that there are two DC movies taken directly from stories in this book, both Shazam and Aquaman.

This is a lovely book, and a thoroughly entertaining read. The binding is really good for a book this size, and I hope this is the standard, going forward. Mind you, I just got the Snyder Batman Omni and they've improved that massively on the latest print run. Stay safe everyone.

Ahem... Justice League of America in the New 52 was actually 14 issues. The second collection was called Survivors of Evil and collected issues 8-14. I'll show myself out...

Deluxe edition just came out March 31st 2020..

I love DC. But I wish they would not only put the issue number but the date. I personally like to know the real time dates. I like to know when these things were taking place .

I totally don't get this table of contents but no page numbers. heck why not just give us a least the issue number we are reading? That being said I've been waiting on this one. Can't wait to have this in my hands.

Spine looks like it’ll match well with swamp Thing new 52

Justice League of America ran for 14 issues, plus the 4 issues from the villain month. Issue 8-14 are part of Forever evil crossover, so I expect them to be in volume 2 with the other Forever evil tie in and the main Forever evil title. Does this include Justice League issue 23? This is the last issue in the Trinity War arc.

I Know this comment is late, but I have fell in love with omnibuses after watching this on your channel, which btw is great and gives all the info I usually need. I am buying them for the art, and since comic stores are far gone where I live, your channel is a totally must to see the inside. I have been loving comics since the 70s, so yes, not a young guy 😀I am most familiar with European series like Asterix, Lucky Luke, Blueberry........, never had much of an interest or rather much knowledge of Marvel or DC. Well might as well ask my question before I write my...😀On the Amazon US site it is listed with 1248 pages and on Amazon UK 1072 pages, is there two different versions, or have they just got the amount of pages wrong? NB! Thanks for your great videos.

Glad New 52 JL omnibus collects more than the Johns run. Didn't collect this run so looking forward to getting it in omni format. Sad there's no love for Justice League International, which ran during JL's first year.

Not to forget justice League unwrapped as well. I'd love a dc unwrapped Omni one day, or even an Omnibus release in an "unwrapped" format. Probably never happen but I can hope 🤞

I've come to really despise the WW+Superman romance the more that time has passed. Not happy to see it sprawled across the hardcover of the omnibus. But I'm still going to get it because I enjoyed most of the other stories in this run quite a bit.

I just collected the standard hardcovers, and JLA new 52 as well so I think I'll pass but it's a great read!

I know it is a kind of rebirth for all the DC characters but not sure why it happened... Did they all die at the same time or something?
