Great tribute to Kevin Conroy. Listening to him sing Am I Blue in This Little Piggy just hits differently now than before. But yes we finally get Shayera back but unfortunately we won't see her much. Maria Canals was busy with Disney stuff during JLU.
When Batman the animated series came out I had just started working the evening shift. I used to watch it everyday before I went to work. It always put me in a good mood. What I do know about Mr Conroy was he seems to be a genuinely nice individual. He went to Juilliard with Christopher Reeve. So Superman and Batman went to school together. This episode was amazing !!! So many heroes. You did a great reaction and review and I like how you put it in perspective. Sometimes (most) you really impress me. It feels like this show was Tailor made for you. Keep up the good work.
Your tribute to Kevin Conroy was excellent. It really got to me. I’ve been watching and rewatching his stuff for over 10 years now, so his death really shook me. As for the episode, this was definitely the best one so far. I’ve rewatched that scene between Lex and Amazo more times than I can count because it really makes you think.
Yet another great episode! It was awesome seeing Kyle Rayner again and his new suit is excellent, the same goes for the other Green Lantern members (After all, the costumes are mental constructs, it would make sense they'd be able to alter their suits). And having Steel as part of the League is so rewarding, since we first met him in "Superman: The Animated Series". But the highlight is of course the return of A.M.A.Z.O. Last time he had the power of six heroes, now he has the power of the universe! But all he wants is a purpose, it really makes you feel sorry for him; I just hope Dr. Fate can help him find it. I also have to point out the Justice League Unlimited's attempts at stopping A.M.A.Z.O may have been futile but valiant, the same goes with the Green Lantern Corp. That's one of the reasons why I love this series so much, countless heroes working together for the common good.
I love watching how every new episode tops the previous one😅 This is a fantastic episode, nonetheless. I love the analysis part of this reaction, especially when you talked about Nietzsche. Lex's speech in this episode is considered iconic because it really makes you delve into the depth of his character and human life itself. It's also what the series does best. It manages to make the entire scene engaging and thought-provoking, despite the deeply flawed man who is delivering these lines. Lex's philosophy is quite simple but also highlights his big-picture thinking and approach to life. Live to see the ending. To know how it ends is what he wants, and he feels he's got to live to see it. While Lex Luthor is nothing short of a villain, we can adopt some of what he said in our own lives. The writers pulled a Nietzsche and no one noticed, because this is supposed to be a kids show. They deliver beautiful lessons every single time. Very subtle, but they do. Btw, the next episode is themed around the Super-friends, though it doesn't involve them literally- like a tribute Speaking of life, Kevin Conroy lived a fantastic one. I devoured BTAS as a child, I cherished every game and series. The dynamics and beauty of his Batman is magical- no one can ever recreate it. He was one of a kind. Batman lives on in our hearts. That tribute was beautiful. He will be dearly missed my everyone. Long live the Dark Knight!
