Unlimited's biggest strength was how many less known/unknown DC characters they put in the story and made it work so well. Characters like the Question or Vigilante or Shining Knight had a spotlight.

Justice League Unlimited is one of the highlights of DC animated television with the care it takes with storytelling and respect it pays to its characters. There are so many moments that comic book fans never would have expected to see brought to the screen, especially in the time in which it was created. Justice League Unlimited remains every bit as captivating since its debut.

These characters show us we are all capable of being heroes, and we need no capes to validate one another. With our kindness and desire for justice, we all have a hero in us.

Justice League Unlimited proves that Batman is truly a very caring person.

Booster Gold does have a surprisingly compelling storyline in Justice League Unlimited. Despite starting out as a grandstanding hero seeking fame, he grows into a character who helps others out of the kindness of his own heart, making him one of the best developed versions of Booster Gold.

Superman is the ultimate role model. Even without his powers, Clark Kent would be someone to look up to. He is a great reporter who has rooted out corruption and an all-around amazing human being, taught by Jonathan Kent and Martha Kent to care about everyone and help whoever he could. His powers are what have allowed him to reach the next level and becomes a hero who saves the universe.

One of the best qualities of Justice League Unlimited was its amazing range, with hilarious episodes balancing out shockingly dark and grim stories. In addition, this epic series concluded some unresolved storylines in other DC animated shows like Batman Beyond and Superman: The Animated Series and showcased underrepresented comic book heroes and minor figures.

So epic. We have super humans, we have aliens, we have gods. And most importantly we have BATMAN!

Heroes never die. They live on forever in the hearts and minds of those who would follow in their footsteps.

Vixen takes the "help people" part of being a superhero to the next level. She serves as a perfect example to her fellow heroes on how to comport themselves.

Even before he became a Green Lantern, John Stewart was always powerful. His dedication, discipline, focus and intelligence far surpassed most of his peers. He was a former marine and an architect, bringing everything he learned in both careers to the work he does with the Green Lantern Corps.

The John Stewart interpretation is probably most famous for this time with the Justice League of America in Justice League Unlimited, but what is great about John Stewart is his vast backstory and compelling aspirations.

You know the theme playing as it shows the sillhoutes of the original Justice League then suddenly revealing a LOT more superhero silhouttes gave me so much chills.

Incredibly innovative and spanning decades, the shows and the distinct character models of the DC Animated Universe influenced and informed an entire generation of superhero fans. With that in mind, it surely looks as though DC Comics are tapping into the nostalgia caused by fans seeing their favorite superhero team just as they remembered them growing up.

Kevin Conroy is the undisputed true Batman, and will remain the voice fans imagine in their heads when reading comic books about the Dark Knight.

One of my favorite theme songs ever. I really miss this series. It had a lot of compelling storylines.

The trumpets at the beginning made me have chills.

This Superman gets the advantage of having so much time to shine. He appears as the lead in his own cartoon, and a major protagonist for two ensemble shows. Audiences got to see Superman to from an inexperienced rube, to the world's premiere superhero. This version has everything a great version of Superman needs. He is funny and charming, but also awe-inspiring and intimidating when he needs to be.

Who wants this in the Justice League movie ?

One of the show's greatest strengths in characterization, and what makes it still so important today, was that Justice League Unlimited was the culmination of one of the ultimate Batman iterations ever made.

I was never a comic book or super hero fan growing up, but this series really made me appreciate the genre. Even though I had no idea who half the characters were, I watched it religiously. It's a shame CN decided to screw their DC Nation block. Keeping Young Justice, Green Lantern TAS and bringing JLU back would have been incredible. This theme is so epic. I wish it were longer.

The chemistry between Black Canary and Green Arrow is never lacking because this pair respects and acknowledges the decisions of the other, and works well as a team, making them a favorite among superhero couples.

The Cadmus arc is the strongest and most ambitious narrative in the DC Animated Universe that explores the nature of superheroes, raises questions about freedom versus security, and presents villains who do not see themselves as such.

An episode featuring heroes largely considered the Justice League's B-listers, Patriot Act is an excellent example of what the expanded DC Animated Universe so compelling, with characters fully fleshed out and interesting.

The culmination of years of animated goodness. It was just as great as those who came before it.

The four-part season two finale of Justice League Unlimited, consisting of Question Authority, Flashpoint, Panic in the Sky and Divided We Fall, does the best to tackle the subject matter of the Cadmus arc thematically, while serving as a wide-scoped, explosive climax that pays off the character arcs of numerous characters and offers just as many of them time to shine.

In 2005, the DC Animated Universe was reaching the end of its thirteen years of producing animated series. This brand included some of the best the genre had to offer, including the still beloved Batman: The Animated Series, Batman Beyond, Static Shock and Justice League Unlimited. DC animated series ruled over the genre, less in competition than in mutual immortality with its few peers.

Saving Flash and their reaction to his loss shows how deep the bonds between these seven members go. The creators did a great job foreshadowing this event back in the original Justice League when the Flash's death sparked the creation of the Justice Lords, illustrating his value as a founding member and how he helps hold the group together.

Justice League Unlimited was backed by great soundtracks, talented voice actors and moving storylines.

Justice League Unlimited delivers some of the best spectacle that the DC Animated Universe ever saw, and some wonderful character work that many see as a kind of pinnacle for these characters, regardless of the medium.

Destroyer is a strong example of using a well examined character in a new way as the final episode of Justice League Unlimited. Lex Luthor was one of the longest running and most compelling versions of the DC Animated Universe. Seeing a moment of heroism from the villain before he inevitably turned back to villainy made for fresh and compelling animated television.

Destroyer is an incredible series finale to the DC Animated Universe and many of the standalone episodes throughout the thirteen episode run of Justice League Unlimited are equally enjoyable.

This show intoduced to me the more sinister side of superheroes, there power is overwhelming and everyone's just lucky Kal'el landed on the kent farm, the justice lords were a fine example of how quickly and how steep of a slope it is from superhero to villian

Sorry but Marvels earth mightiest heroes are like sidekicks compared to the Justice league.

The Huntress was one of the most fan-favorite characters in Justice League Unlimited, as she develops her character well and regularly fought alongside the Question and Black Canary.

The Justice League has saved the day multiple times and they have helped define what it means to be heroes.

Justice League Unlimited Initiation is an outstanding season premiere that effectively introduces the new premise, introduces Green Arrow and Captain Atom, and reintroduces Supergirl, and establishes the new status quo, and For the Man Who Has Everything is one of the most emotional episodes in the DC Animated Universe. Fearful Symmetry, Ultimatum and Dark Heart do a great job kickstarting the Cadmus arc. This Little Piggy and the Greatest Story Never Told are excellent showcases for Zatanna and Booster Gold at the same time, and the Once and Future Thing is an enjoyable close to the season that subverts expectations by becoming a pseudo crossover with Batman Beyond.

Justice League Unlimited alternates between self-contained stories and multiple episode plots. Justice League Unlimited excels at setting up epic narratives that had lots of humor.

The few episodes of the Justice League Unlimited Season 2 not to involve Cadmus are nearly all spectacular. The Cat and the Canary is a great introduction to Wildcat that invests viewers in the fresh romance between Green Arrow and Black Canary, Double Date follows up on the two becoming a couple and pairs them against the Question and the Huntress, and the Ties that Bind is a perfect introduction for new fans to Mister Miracle and Big Barda.

0:00 to 0:13 is the best. I'm watching all the Episodes on Netflix. And I'm watching Batman Beyond (which is amazing).

First, it starts subtle, than you have grandious tunes... then a choir-like sound comes and bang, guitar screaming to you that heroes are ready for the action, to save the day! Damn, was this show awesome.

Justice League Unlimited is the best series in the DC Animated Universe that covers so much ground, finding time for many individual storylines, awesome action and showing plenty of characters and locations in the DC Universe.

Superman represents the pinnacle of teamwork in the DC Universe and is the symbol of the Justice League itself, typically working as its leader. While Batman does his best work alone, Superman is being the hero who seeks out friends and allies to work with.

That part at about the 30 second mark where the high-pitched guitars kick in gives me serious goosebumps

This show and the DCAU in general are the reasons why I have such high standards for the DCEU. So far live action just hasn't been able to compete with these animated classics.

The human members of the Green Lantern Corps are some of the most powerful heroes in the DC Universe. Their rings enable them to do just about anything they can imagine, such as creating hard-light constructs, translating alien languages, and traveling across the galaxy at amazing speeds.
