The voices are the best. Kyle is actually my favorite GL and I always liked his relationship with Batman. I like how Bats grows to kinda like him because Kyle is willing to expand his skills past just his ring.

The DCAU episode "Metamorphosis" shows Metamorpho can be interesting, provided the writer understands the character and can craft a good narrative around him.

While I agree that Morrision's run it great, I have to disagree with the idea that the Justice Luge was bad up until that point in the 90s. I personally have always considered JLI and the following Jurgens JLA to be two of the best of all time. These runs JLI specifically breathed new life into the franchise by adding a layer of comedy. OF course I can also understand why one may not enjoy.

There are no Red Martians, But there are Burning Martians wich are basically the same thing. A retcon (from 2003 I think?) that explained that the Martian weakness to fire was caused by the Guardians of the Universe and led the martians to evolve into green and white. That Story is famous for having a Kaiju style battle between Burning Martian possessed J'on´n J'onnz and Plastic Man and also one of the creaziest Flash runs so fast moments. Wally saves 100 000 people in less than a second from a nuclear blast.

I like the character too. His appearance has always looked dated and strange. I actually hope they redesign him slightly so he actually looks cooler but still keep his strangeness intact.

This is the start to arguably the best modern JLA run outside of JLI. It was my introduction to DC and gave me a love for DC. Morrison does his best work for DC, although his run on New X Men was pretty revolutionary for Marvel.

man DC Universe has the entire grant Morrison JLA run so i started reading this yesterday. I love that moment when one of the League say, "we can't die like this, we're the justice league!" i fell out and it reminded me of this episode. off to the coffee maker!

Ya'll should totally do "The Life and Times of Martha Washington in the Twenty-first Century". Totally underrated story, honestly think its right up there with TDKR and Watchmen. Keep putting em' out, I'll keep watch em'!

Morrison's JLA was a great run, with a relatively weak ending (World War III). Mark Waid, and later Joe Kelly, were more than worthy as follow ups. After that, the book took a nosedive. Speaking of Electric Superman, Morrison was the one that had Superman do the most creative things with his new set of powers. Much better than in Superman's own running titles.

I think i only read two stories from that entire era of justice league and it was this one and the two part obsidian age(?). Both were great reads and i hope you cover it. Great episode as always

Panthor109 the best I understand them having a war, but them having race doesn't make sense. Both are capable of changing their body on a molecular level and just sitting in that form, meaning that whatever color they were born with, they can just change at any point with little thought. Race is something completely dependent on physical appearance.

These were the very first Justice League issues I ever read. I bought the #1 off the shelf because it was a #1 and Kyle Rayner was in it. Starting with Morrison and Waid stories, it all went downhill from there.
