There is an alternate universe cowboy Wonder Woman! But she gets violently beaten to death by another Wonder Woman. This was during Countdown when Monarch was having ‘tryouts’ to form a new Justice League he could conquer the multiverse with. Ultraman, Vampire Batman, etc.

I dont know a lot about DC but I remember that “Warworld” was featured in the original Justice League animated series, it was focused on Superman and featured Draaga and Mongul. I don’t know if that’s the same as the one you are referring to.

@@Salisboury WARLORD was a Mike Grell comic that featured a character called Travis Morgan who gets lost in Tartarus, a world within our world. It may have been retconned at a later date. Kind of a sword & sorcery tale like Edgar Rice Burroughs' John Carter.

from what i heard its pretty much you got passionate workers in the animation studio that know the lore and have some semblance of atmosphere and decent writing. they try to break into the DC cinematic universe but are turned away due to ego or favoritism, so they go tell the stories they want to share in animated features.

I know I'm gonna be the super unpopular opinion, he just dont sound natural. You can hear it in his voice like he's trying hard to deepen his voice. They should have just gone with the guy that had been voice the new 52 batman movies, Jason O'mara. He had his own Batman voice not one like he was trying to sound like Kevin Conroy. Ofc everyone loves him the Jensen Ackles but if he keeps voicing Batman I at least hope he improves.

Parallax (Hal) STILL has trauma from Mongul and Cyborg Superman! Even though he can literally think them away at this point he still has PTSD and sometimes sees them when they aren’t there. This was shown at the end of Telos series. Parallax can literally nuke the omniverse he’s so strong (which he actually did once during Zero Hour) but still has nightmares about guys that are like fleas to him now

He had zero to do with it, his first dc film, after becoming co chairman of dc alongside Peter Safran, will be superman legacy. Other than he was responsible for The suicide Squad(2021), not to be confused with Suicide Squad(2016), and Peacemaker (2022 series).

Animated movies have never really connected with a movie universe (like in between movies/stories to show what the heroes were doing in between movies). So I don’t think things will change because of James Gunn.

But I have my doubts his dcu will even get off the ground if Superman legacy bombs and WB gets sold off again. The flash might not even make much money.

So Batman is in a Conan the barbarian world, Superman is in a 1950's SCI-FI horror movie-like world, and Wonder Woman is in the Wild West period. Also, WW looks hot as a cowgirl. Always liked that look on her ever since that time travel episode in JLU.

Just putting it out there that the difference between the animated movies and the live action is literally that DC runs the animated films and Warner Bros. runs the live action films, or at least WB has run them up to now. We may see a shift with James Gunn, but up to this point that has been the primary difference is that DC has full or at least primary creative control for their animated projects.

Not really. There was a time when their animated series and movies were the gold standard. Back when Bruce Timm had more creative control over everything. What we have now is a dismal shell of the former glory that was the DCAU.

This looks fun, and I will give it a watch. The problem with this is that they took one of the best solo superman stories and shoved batman and wonder woman in it. That book had fun uses for midnighter and steel and this movie looks like they're just doing the trinity again. It still looks fun, but it's adapting super loosely.

I made it halfway through the movie and had to give up. There's something off about the sequencing and storytelling. It's like watching a kid play with all the toys at once with no rhyme or reasons. I mean being attacked by dinosaurs three times in 5 minutes? It made no sense at all.

Glad to see that villain back, I forget his name (I know, hang me later), but I always remembered him when I first saw him in the old cartoon that he looked like a goofy version of Darkseid. Despite that, he was always so menacing when on screen, looking back, I think even more than Darkseid.
