Justice Bhagwati had a great vision. We as lawyers and students do not have even 1% of it. its so true what he remarked that you need vision and draftmanship.
It is really disappointing as Justice Bhagwati has not praised Justice H.R.Khanna who paid the price for his dissenting view in A D.M Jabalpur as he could not become CJI unlikely to Justice Bhagwati. However, Justice H.R.Khanna will remain the Chief Justice in the hearts of all democratic people of India for ever.
It is really good to see that Justice Bhagwati is accepting his guilt for A.D.M Jabbalpur case. When India needed him badly, that time he did not deliver justice. Moreover, taking whole credit for P.I.L in India without recognising Justice Krishna Iyer's huge contribution, is not a statement of truth.
He is also taking the whole credit for giving new dimension to Article 21 ( given in Maneka Gandhi vs UOI) without acknowledging the great concurring judgment of Justice Krishna Iyer.

Comments by Sidhesh Patil - Why does the media engage a retired Adjudicating Officer in a conversation that puts him/her back into the role of adjucating? In this video Bhagwati CJ continues to work as a Judge. Isn't his honour meant to enjoy his time off? Age 65 equals full stop. I'd love to watch someone prosecute the media!
How is it reasonable and fair, to deprive an individual/s of justice, when that individual/s has worked hard to develop the means to an end (access the court system), which certainly is not the case when a court actively seeks to render justice to the marginalised over those waiting in the queue? To me that effort of the court is to quench it's thirst for fame/popularity. Why not make an effort instead to direct the government of the day to fund retired Judges, eminent Lawyers to augment the court system, build capacity to dispense justice in marginalised communities? Why not direct the government of the day to build more judicial colleges that can supply the nation with more judges? Why not make people aware of their right to cast a vote at the election based upon how satisfied they are with the waiting time in the queue? Public Interest Litigation is a facet of Judicial Corruption!
