There is something about a racehorse winning a race not to mention a triple crown that is more beautiful than a game winning 3-point shot, a Superbowl winning touchdown or a heavyweight championship knockout.
@@EGPUNK11 The horse is still great breeding and talent. He wouldn't win otherwise. So he purchased for $500k. It wasn't some sort of fluke because of doping. He was breed to be successful.
@@EGPUNK11 it's not like he's descended from six different Triple Crown winners, including the only other to do it with an undefeated record, Seattle Slew... but yeah, I'm sure it's the doping. 🙄😂
ME AND MY 10 YEARS OLD WERE THERE.. AND AFTER WE RETURNED HOME.. HE SAID WAS THE BEST DAY OF HIS.. I HAD SUCCESSFULLY PASSED THE RACING HORSE TORCH TO MY SON .. THANKS TO.. JUSTIFY..
My grandma loves Mike Smith - we've been lucky enough to meet him several times and he's kind and humble. We were both in tears knowing that Big Money Mike finally got the Triple Crown.
Both horses are related to Fair Play, who was the sire of Man o' War. Fair Play is Seabiscuit's great grandsire on his paternal side. For Secretariat, Fair Play was his great-great-great grandsire on his paternal side
The great secretariat won the triple crown the year i was born and i never thought i'd see a triple crown winner in my lifetime after becoming interested in horseracing in the mid 1990's and now i've seen two of them!
People said that Justify could of ran the Breeder's Cup. Baffert made a good call not to run him. I would have been a disaster if he got hurt and had to be put down. His legacy is better off with him getting his ladies knocked up!
In my lifetime I have seen five Triple Crown winners Secretariat Seattle Slew Affirmed American pharoah and justify like to see those five in a race I know who I'd put my money on
It was done 3 times in the 70's and 3 years apart last decade, but it's always the horse that wins after an extended period that get the most accolades - Secretariat in '73 and American Pharoah in 2015.
Uhhh... Secretariat is just a horse apart. Not just because it was after a long time, but because, you know, that he _still holds_ the fastest time records for _all three Triple Crown races._ That might have just a little to do with it. Maybe.
I remember watching this live and being excited for justify to win the race what my son said to me that that it's not nothing that you see how their horse came from last place all the way up to Second and almost won he was more excited for the second horse than he was the winner
I have to say when this fellow calls it when they round that final turn I do get goose pimples but I absolutely miss And down the stretch they come can anyone tell me who it was that would say that
I used to be a jockey. Not at the height of these guys. But I could have been competitive with them but never thought I'd see triple crowns in such a short time. Now i I CAN DIE!
Those that want to end this sport need to watch this so they can find out what this sport is all about , if they had their way none of these magnificent RACE horses would have never been born.
Triple Crown Journey: At 2: Don't race. Just take it easy. At 3; Win your Maiden. Win an Allowance Win Santa Anita Win Kentucky Derby Win Preakness Win Belmont, each margin getting smaller and smaller Retirement!!!! Enjoy the rest of your life as a stud!!!! We All should have such an easy life!!!!
Old neighborhood Tates creek Camelot drive. Loan shark business is immortal. Payroll taxes four years in future. That is with or without a social security check. Immortal already.
i thought he failed a drug test in the santa anita derby, was disqualified. if so to me that tarnishes his triple crown. plus the odd blocking they did with the other baffert entry in the Belmont. they also had a handshake agreement to sell the horse for a lot of money if he won the triple crown but didn't sign the contract till later to avoid short term capitol gain taxes. the whole thing was fishy leading up to the belmont. to me justify never ran against older and was retired right away, doesn't measure up with other triple crown greats, that along with his times are not spectacular, he ran against no one particularly good before the triple crown, then ran in slop. beautiful horse but throw in the bad drug test and it just doesn't look so great.
Look the truth is 2:04 for the derby is below standard. If there was any quality closer in that class. Justify would be well beat!.. This derby and the crown is sub par.. only 3 quality performers in that crop. And they 1 2 3. And they owners scratch castelanos horse so justify would not have any threat in the belmont..(Smart). A 45 sec half and one of the slowest final quarter in the last ten years... street sense, barbaro, I'll have another ,I don't need to go on all better performers that justify. I Still like the horse🙂 just putting it all in context.
Well, that's certainly open to discussion. First of all, the questionable drug test was after Justify won the Santa Anita derby, several weeks before the Kentucky Derby. This would have disqualified him for the Derby except that the California Horse Racing Board threw out the results because they believed they were caused by feed contaminated with jimson weed, which is not unheard of. Secondly, the drug was scopolamine which some experts have said would hurt a horse as much as help him and which is not a drug cheaters use. Thirdly, it's a little hard to believe that Bob Baffert was risking everything he has in life (which is a lot) to give a horse who was likely to win the most high profile races in the country an easily detectable drug. Maybe...who knows. But its about zero likely Justify won the Triple Crown on drugs.
That's called ignorance on your part, maybe because you didn't have him to win, but you shouldn't be making comments like that, any horse that can run the triple crown, in my books is badass!!
Baffert used Restoring hope to TOTALLY clear every horse from the inside for Justify...Took whole field WIDE and just hung outside...This was a DISGRACE...So blatant and obvious
You're such an asshole. Restoring Hope was so rank on the 1st turn, he was 5 wide. You must have had money on the other horses to beat Justify. Me, I had zero dog in this fight, just wanted to watch a horse race. If Restoring Hope was used as a "blocker" or "to clear every horse from the inside", then why no objection from the trainer or the jockey, or for that matter, an inquiry from the stewards??? DUMBASS
SLOW horse taking advantage of SLOWER horses...Justify won "4" stakes races against juniors...That was his entire year and career...Such an overrated horse....Most of his 4 stakes wins had some of the worst numbers in history of those races...Retired after 6 starts and never proved himself...Such a vastly OVERRATED racehorse
YOU ARE SO DUMB IF YOU THINK KENTUCKY DERBY IS A VERY EASY RACE TO WIN... AND A TRIPLE CROWN WITH 6 ALL WIN RACES.. YOU'RE NOT JUST DUMB, YOU ARE STUPID!
you heard the jockey after the Kentucky Derby win.. it was an easy race.. he just let him flow, didnt push him, didnt need to. Justify did what he had to do to win
