I have a pair of dark brown Bent Rail; I was looking for a lighter color and I tried on a pair of Ariat, they felt ok. I then tried on another pair of Bent Rail....boom. Yep, much better, very comfortable. Great boots, great review. Thanks for posting.

I bought these boots about a couple months ago and wore them often while out and about. These are a pretty good city slicker boot and they feel great walking in all day on concrete. Like you said the boot is light and the leather is soft. I'm not a big fan of the two tone look either but I dont hate it. I mostly prefer the sole color to match with the vamp. Anyways, Jeremiah, thank you for the great reviews and awesome original music!

I remember in the early 1990s when all Justin boots were made in the USA. I still have an old pair of Justin lace up ropers with leather bottoms from when I was in middle school. Now I've got a pair of the women's bent rail all leather bottoms and a pair of tall Justin women's Gypsy boots and so far the cheaper gypsy's are more comfy but that's just due to needing to break in the bent rails and I don't want to wear them until we're out of this rainy spring weather since they're leather on the bottom.

This review sold me on these boots. At first I wasn't sure about the different colors on the shaft and the vamp but I think it looks good. I would have preferred the heel and sole to be all black but no big deal.

I really like the reviews you do on cowboy boots, as well as all of your other videos on cowboy boots. The first pair of cowboy boots I ever got were Justin bent rail br740, they are two tone, but dark on the top, have had them about 1 and a half years, they are really awesome, I also have bent rail br251, the br251 you should check out if you get a chance, it's a more traditional cowboy boot, med round toe and a cowboy heel, and 13 inch. Every bent rail I have tried on and looked at were awesome, however, they only have 2 bent rails that are traditional, the br251, and the br252, I wish they would come out with more of the traditional cowboy boots in the bent rail line. Keep up the good videos on cowboy boots I really enjoy them.

Currently wearing the BR 740 Caddo. Rock solid boot. Has taken me some time to get used to a wide square toe. Room at the front of my foot tells me they are built for comfort. I'm rough on boots, my 10 acres has a caleche driveway and dirt, prickly pears and rock for the remainder. The outsole is built for that. Looks of the square toe to me has taken some getting used to, that said, My Misses, out of the blue this morning, commented, "I sure like your boots". I think the right insole will sell me. If you've some info on a good insole, please reply. Jeremiah Craig, not asking for much, need a review on the Justin BR 740 Caddo. I wear a 11 1/2 D. Thanks for your time. Swede

Oh and I forgot to mention what I really like about the boot especially is the toe box. I think it is perfect. It doesn't seem too wide of a square toe and not too narrow of a square toe. I think I like it a lot.

My first pair of square toe boots were Justin BR 307 about 6 years ago. And I still were them and have recently had them shined up. You should try other Bent Rail boots too.

I have a pair of Justin BR251 boots. Love them. Very durable and the color is awesome. Have a great spur ridge on them.

I have the BR251 and BR252, they're medium round toes. Couple them with their gel inserts and you're on that Double H 1552 level for comfort. I wish Justin would do more medium round toes with that rubber outsole.

Justin makes a very nice boot in some of there more expense boot. I like that boot except for how much the soles stick out the sides. Very informative video.

They do especially at and around the heel but I don't think that's the case with all of the Bent Rail Line.

My bent rails don't really have an insole. Not very comfortable if you're planning on walking around. Also, the black part of my heal has almost worn through in one year's use. They do look great though.

Love your passions for boots dude! I went into a western store in Italy on the weekend, and found a rare edition model of Justin boots. I will find the model for you so you can check 'em out. Sadly, they were too narrow for me.... not that I could afford them though :P

Haha I've really been getting into ebay too for vintage stuff. Haven't bought any yet but I like looking and checking out the prices. Have you tried ebay? It seems like a gamble for boots for me since you don't know how they'll fit

@@PUNISHERMHS_2021 in the north of Italy there are some western stores. I don't know how they survive though. It is a nice shop, but a real mish mash. I mean youll find lots of different models but the absolute majority have just one size!

Great ones, and a great review, Jeremiah. Just an idea, you should do some reviews about roper boots or any other "classic" and/or simple boots.. especially for those who are starting to wear cowboy boots.. Which one do you recommend for beginners?

At first I heard Auburn and my ears perked up because I thought it was in Alabama. I really like squared toe boots. I prefer rounded or pointed toe more but I'm considering getting a squared toe as my 2nd pair. I love the wood heels on those Justin's and the black leather. I'm also not a fan of the dual tones when the colors clash so much and it seems you have the same taste.

Abilenes are a good alternative that use a wood or other material heel. Cool that we have similar taste. It's funny... the only colors I don't like together are blacks and browns. I'm sure there are other mixtures I'm not fond of but they seem to be the most popular. Alabama is one of the few states I have't been to. I gotta come down that way!

@@JeremiahCraig You do, it's a beautiful state! I recommend Baldwin County, AL. We've got really good beaches and the towns are great. We're the county over from Mobile and to our right is Pensacola, FL. If you ever decide to make the trip, either come during summer for the beaches or early March (temperature fluctuates) during Mardi Gras. Mobile throws a huge parade and there are also pretty big parades near the beaches. I of course am biased with Baldwin County. All of Alabama is great :)

I'm not sure where in the US they were made. I heard they have a Texas factory too but these could have been made in Missouri.

Jeremiah Craig I just saw a nice looking model Bent Rail Keaton Brown style BR252 online $204.95 suggested retail . Nice color, two tone but not to extreme color differences. Dark shiny bottom with black top. 12” upper 1 9/16” heal , medium round toe Looks nice I’ll have to try it on . Also an American model . Sorta the opposite of that one but the colors don’t clash as much since the brown is really dark just a little lighter than the black. Looks cool but we all have different taste.

@@JeremiahCraig yes its hard to describe, but it looks like the rubber dried out all around the welt and there's tiny cracks. I'm probably gonna contact justin and see what can be done. Keep the content coming brother!

Well I'm not Jeremiah but my Bent Rail ones (not sure the model but the shaft green with multi colored stitching) but just the shaft, heel, and where your foot goes (forgot the word lol) is leather, the inside upper part (I keep forgetting words) is cloth lined

The only things that I do not like about the boot are the excessive edge around the outsole that stick out from the boot. For it being a single stitch welt I think it's a little too wide on the edges. It also looks a little bit too thick up front on the outsole... But besides that that's the only thing I don't like about the boot. That'll mind the contrast from the black to the brown although I would just say I wish they would just make it all black, from the vamp to the shaft.

I believe they are fully leather lined. I'm not 100% but I don't remember cloth lining or any other material at the foot

I just got some Justin boots and I compared them to some cheap 30 dollars boot and the Justin’s feel much better. The cheap ones have a taller heel.

Hello. Another Great Video. I Like the Style Of this Boot. Love the Thick Sole. I Stay Away From Made In Mexico Boots. Then there is Ariat Boots whitch I think Are Made In China. Chinese Cowboy Boots. No Way!

I think there are definitely some companies that cut corners on their Mexican made boots. Others do not, and are of great quality.

I agree @Scramby18. Mexico is across the board on quality. Mexico has some great boot makers with incredible styles and I don't think they should be judged as a country on some some of the less quality boots coming out of Leon or elsewhere. Hondo is a great example I recently discovered. Great boots!

Tecovas are made in mexico and are some of the best made boots in existence. I agree about Ariat. Blows my mind people buy that crap.

First of all I do like your reviews very much and I appreciate your hard work, but we all look at things in a different light, to me a cowboy boot should be of a traditional look to some degree. I'm sure these boots are comfortable, but they do look a little like boy Dutchman wooden shoes with the very thick sole and the square toe. I should not make this comment but I feel the need to give you my honest opinion.

you need to size down. if they dont pop when you put your foot in they are too big

I'm a 12 A or B there's only so much sizing down I can do on D widths. So few companies make B widths. I get the most pop from 11Ds on average 10.5 is often too small and I get no pop

I have these in a distressed all brown boot. I don't like some of the synthetics on the inside, but I love the hybrid heel/toe. Very very cool. I also like the fact that it looks like leather, but has a synthetic bottoms for rain. Wearing them today actually since it is raining.

Nice! The synthetics make it super light too. I haven't worn a boot this light before or since trying it
