The rolls are arranged in a square 5 by 10 grid. The paper used for the rolls has a thickness of about 1 mm. The pennies have a diameter of 19.05 mm. Paper and penny total is 21.05 mm. The minimum bottom and top area the box should have is w * l => (21.05*5) * (21.05 * 10) = 22155.125 mm² = 0.022155125 m² * 2 = 0.04431025 m². The minimum area for the long sides the box should be l * h => (21.05*10) * 80 = 16840 mm² = 0.016840 m² * 2 = 0.03368 m² . The minimum area for the short sides the box should be l * h => (21.05*5) * 80 = 8420 mm² = 0.08420 m² * 2 = 0.1684 m². From what I could find online the cardboard/thick paper used for each box should be around 400 to 425 grams per m². I am going to assume 400, as it is cheaper but not much weaker than the 425 equivalent. This gives us an extra 400 * (0.04431025+0.03368+0.1684) = 98.5561 grams per box or a total of 98.5561 * 4 = 394.2244 grams or 0.8691lbs for all the boxes. The total extra weight which needs to be added to the weight of the 10000 pennies is 248 + 394.2244 = 642.2244 grams. This gives 25000 + 642.2244 = 25642.2244/1000 = 25.64 kg or 56.5265 lbs for the Lincoln pennies and 31100 + 642.2244 = 31742.2244/1000 = 31.74 kg or 69.9796 lbs for the Union Shield pennies.
