For however long I have left on this fragile earth, I’ll always be grateful that I lived in the same time period as Justin and the rest of the Moody Blues.
Eu também . Mas confesso q essas apresentações com vocais femininos desagradam meus ouvidos . Adoro Justin , mas bom mesmo é ele com os Moody. Não adianta querer inventar moda q não fica bom .
I do not think the Moody Blues have a clue how important their songs are as they relate to the world today. Whatever Justin was thinking when he wrote these songs 45 years ago had a purpose and that was to provide a light for the rest of us . thank you Moody Blues " so fly little bird up into the clear blue sky, and carry the word LOVE is the only reason why" " only LOVE can see you through, you know what LOVE can do to you" . this is coming straight from the heavens. no kidding the Angels come into my house when I play Moody Blues
+victor crocco With the reversal of the progressive ideal that was nearly established in the 60's and 70's, these songs have taken on a new importance. They're letting us know we need to get back to loving one another and the earth. People can still wear suits and drive cars and make money but when it comes to living with each other, It's not a passing fancy, only love can see you through. The Moodies are reminding us.
Thank you for the songs you gave us written from your heart!!! You gave me a place where I go and escape the problems of life when I listened to your songs!!! Thank you !!! From a fellow singer since 1956.
As a guitarist of more than 50 years I can't say how much Justin influenced my beginnings back in the 60's and 70's. Totally under appreciated as one the best melodic guitarist in rock history I can hear is playing in so many others out there. Put on some headphones and listen to all those fill lines he is putting in there to compliment the melody and his soaring solos...........just wow.
He's definitely one of the most underrated guitarists out there, and certainly a master of 'playing for the song' rather than noodling around just to show off. Mike Dawes is absolutely great on these tours and does a superb job, but I do miss hearing Justin play the lead lines. I actually first picked up a guitar after being dragged to a Moodies concert many years ago by my older brother when I was 14, so Justin will always be a huge influence, and definitely the cause of a couple of 335's bought over the years!
As a Moodies fan for over 50 years, they have never failed to help me through the rough patches of life. So glad I’ve been around for this whole journey.
A beautiful song, done by one of the most talented people in the world of music, Mr . Justin Hayward. He is a fabulous singer, songwriter and just overall very talented person...And a nice guy too. Thanks 🙏 Maggie for sharing this wonderful video with all of us.
Every time I hear this song I do not know where I go. I feel suspended in some stratospheric floating state of never ending time. Then the song ends and I thump back to Earth - Wow!
Wow, that was like the studio version. Perfection. The lead guitar was right on. Thrilling! And the camera work was exceptional too. Thank you for showing the lead guitar playing.
Takes me back to that time in the 70s laying on the floor of my apartment with this song playing in between the speakers. Great live rendition...love the talented musicians Justin has with him to bring these songs to life again.
Only one Justin ,I loved the moodies the first time I heard them . Their music will live on long after I’m gone . I was born in 1946 the same year as Justin .
Mike just nails the lead parts in this song and you can visibly see how much Justin enjoys it. Possibly remembering playing it when the song was recorded. Outstanding.
Seventh Sojourn may have had the least amount of songs of their previous albums, but each one stood out on their own, and I think they were all 👍 great
The album takes me right back to my freshman dorm room and my roomies. It was one of our most played records and we'd listen to the whole thing in utter silence.
@@solarwave Amazing - same exact experience, including the Freshman part! Selecting a favorite MB album or song is very difficult...what do they say about "choosing between your children"?... And each of those first "core seven" filled the dorm rooms and halls, but this song and Seventh Sojourn has always held a particularly special place for me.
This guy is unbelievable. What a great song. It's almost as if the Moody Blues was tapped into some kind of intelligent emotional pact with the earth. Keep listening and learning.
The Moody Blues, so much beauty in their words & melodies. Truly a band ahead of there time. Deep , poetic and futuristic. No other band was doing this kind of music or writing. Thank you Justin Hayward. Still listening & Dreaming.
I have had the incredible good fortune of seeing them many times, including the free concert held in LA’s Elision Park near Dodger Stadium in 1969 with Jefferson Airplane, Hot Tuna and Timmothy Leary in and about in the audience in a paisley Neru shirt. What an amazing band. If you ever have a chance to see them .... make certain you do. All our greatest artist are leaving for a while. David Bowie, Tom Petty, George Harrison, Roy Orbison and unfortunately the list goes on and on.
Beautiful just Gorgeous...Justin and the Moodies have been in my life since 1971...have been forturnate to see them many times....most special times of my life!!! tysm xxx
@@johndoc2910 so very true, totally agree with you!! Each time I saw them live, it was as if I was seeing them again for the first time, And watching videos of thier live concerts, same feeling. Yes they are timeless and blew me away each and everytime!! I would tell my friends, cant we just stay at this concert forever!! tysm for you comment!!
The segue of "You and Me" into "TLOMB" is one of the greatest of all time, and my absolute 2 favorite Moody tracks. Whilst my favorite Moody albom start to finish is TOCCC, Seventh Soujourn is 1A, just a magnificent musical gift. I started listening to Soujourn back in HS circa 1978 and still to this day. The music of my life.....
I would love to have seen this tour. Justin Hayward is a God. I play the song on my Gibson J 200 as well I know most of those lead parts. but this is a fantastic performance. I've seen The Moody Blues several times but I've never seen this song performed live and it's always been one of my favorites. what a great find
I was there! LOVED to see and hear Mike D play all that amazing Hayward guitar work from the album track. My absolute favorite Hayward tune (If a favorite can really be chosen)…
This such a great recording and video of Justin singing one of my favorite songs. Thanks for posting. I did not know he had done a somewhat recent solo of that song.
Whoa.... such a delicate, complex piece of song writing by Justin Hayward, and the band he has here... the guitar fills, the harmonies... there be a lot of talent on that stage. I always loved this song on the Moodies album, but I almost like this better - being able to hear all that sound come out of such a small acoustic group really makes it come alive.
Sad to me, that all the promise and dreams their songs brought to the world, many have just died from neglect. Like a beautiful flower left without water!
Yes ,Taip ,Igen ,Toc, Da , all the languages I know how to say yes in ...English Lithuanian Hungarian Polish Rushky to Helaine. Brian and Justin. This is one of the best SONGS .The guitar work is GREAT .. . My first concert was The Moody Blues Octive 1978 at the Chicago stadium or amphitheater ... THAT was where I became EXPERIENCED....
Ah yes, the late Tony Clarke, the sixth Moody as they used to call him. Produced all the most famous Moodies albums. Great to hear Justin give him a mention.
I’ve always thought Justin was way underrated for his guitar work but that being said when you’ve got a voice like that it’s easy to over look what his guitar work brought to the whole of their amazing music.
The fact is: Without Mike Pinder The Moody Blues would never be the spiritual force we all knew and loved . Justin is the voice, the sweet melody man, but Mike was the transcendental guidance. Since the beginning with "Love and Beauty" and "Dawn is a feeling". Justin was seduced and fertilised by those songs and ideals. The same happenned with the others, but Pinder and Hayward were the initial magical bond that made all possible. Thats the reason Justin came to see Mike at his new home (California) in 75: he knew they were the fundamental balance where the other found shelter and a safety way of having a career as musicians. Ok, Graham had his poetry habilities, but we see that he prefer to be a joker and mock of the seriousness that only Pinder could give to his poems (see what he is doing now with " Higher and Higher"). This mood difference between Mike and Graham was the reason for the famous dialogue: "Can you stop making jokes for a while?! We (Justin and I) are working in a new song here!" (or something like this).
You're right. When Pinder left, all the air went out of the balloon. The keyboard players who replaced him were talented, but lacked the special touch that only Mike could bring to the group's music. After Pinder left, on some albums/songs, I even find the keyboard playing annoying.
Snuffy Ballparks didn’t like the way they treated Pinder at the hall of fame ceremony.lodge stopped him from speaking and listening to Justin get the impression was lodge that got him kicked out ,sad 7th sojourn my favourite album
