Herbert has always been a leader but this offseason feels like he's taking ownership of this squad even from a vocal aspect. He's taking the reins, it's very evident.

Had some reluctance the past two seasons with well known reasons (new coach, lack of a run D, etc). But for whatever reason, this year with this team and this coaching staff, i have a good feeling about what they can put together. ⚡️

I see a lot of OR ppl on these responses. I’m right there with them. I’ve seen every throw from the kid going back to the Univ of WA game from 2016. To put some prospective in his ascension during fall camp at OR, players didn’t even know his name. I still call him a kid but he’s the most mature, kind, and respectful guy I’ve ever met. I said this during the draft process when about 90% of the pundits said he was going to be a bust, that whoever gets him will make an organization proud. He will outwork everyone and never want the spotlight on him. Away from the insane athletic ability he is what your sons want to grow up to be like. There’s no greater compliment than that.
