Sauce is definitely the real deal. I remember him talking so much smack saying how he’d the best rookie…everyone hated him for it and was “excited” to see him get humbled….but he definitely lived up to his hype being one of the best corners in the league, and as a ROOKIE.
DJ Reed was on JJ majority of the game, and whenever Sauce lined up against him it was much more even than even I expected it to be. Sauce is the real deal but JJ still held his own.
It was defined far from even 🤣 Sauce couldn't stick with him at all & it's sad that Jets fans really thought he'd lock him up.. He's not as good when he can't hold WR's & get away with it.
@@hoodie26 I watched the whole game & although the stats may say that Sauce held him to around 20-30 yards, JJ was cooking him & had multiple bad passes thrown his way with Sauce beat.. There were also 2-3 plays where JJ had him beat but Kirk had already thrown the ball elsewhere. On top of that, Reed was primarily on him for most of the game & he couldn't guard him either.. Stats can be very misleading without context.
@@CoCoa504 i mean i watched those routes jettas had seperation on and they were angled towards the sideline so even if the throw was there they were shallow routes with no YAC opportunity. unless there’s more plays i’m missing
JJ the real deal and definitely a top 3 receiver. Its just crazy the amount of hate Sauce gets considering he is a rookie. Dude held his own against a top receiver and DJ Reed played solid but he did get beat.
There are far more Sauce fans that inexplicably hate on Stingley/Woolen/etc. for no reason than there are people who hate on Sauce. Go search Stingley/Woolen anywhere on social media and see for yourself, his fans are toxic. Dude is amazing and deserves DROTY but his fans make it hard to root for him.
JJ didn’t have 100 yards but that’s gonna happen when an entire defense is trying to stop you. This wasn’t Gardner vs JJ this was Gardner, Reed and the Safeties vs JJ
@@joerunner2321 I didn’t say anything about double coverage. I’m talking about how they switch between reed and Gardner, and safeties don’t always shadow over one particular receiver unless they are a serious threat
Bro... every team has the entire defense trying to stop JJ. Not just the Jets. That’s not why he didn’t get 100 yds 😂 JJ has 100yd games against teams who play this formation
Also notice the amount of times Jefferson is going against them 1on1 vs with safety help. No team is going to let justin jefferson be matched up with their corners by themselves so ofc these corners are going to look good. without safety help, shit would’ve been way different🤷♂️
It goes both way CBS needs help from there pass rush and safeties and WR need good passes from there QB and oline protection to give the QB time and WR time to get open
@@williemanuel2996 and uneducated fucks need help from their elementary school teachers.. to teach them the difference between there and their.. glad we all are on the same page
@@gideon1199 Jefferson played very well in this game. The final stat line wasn’t as flashy as some of his other performances, but when you cause what was it, something like 5 holding penalties/pass interference and are constantly taking 2 to 3 defenders away from the football… you are damn good.
@@noyou113 um no. It was 2 penalties for 5 yards each. Let’s not over exaggerate his impact on penalties lol. I just don’t think the Jets played any different this game compared to others, same scheme.
@@daniels5853 I mean Sauce quite literally wrapped his arm around Jefferson’s neck in this clip, if you don’t think thats holding then idk what to tell you my guy 👍🏻
Reed and JJ isn't a heck of a battle cause Reed can't stick JJ, Sauce is clearly the better corner, Coordinators know it, Receivers know it, even Brady knows it Sauce is Him moreso than Reed is even though Reed is a very good corner in his own right.
2:40 sec thielan was open across the middle due to safety falling. This the problem with Kurt having Jefferson. Tries to hard to please. Doesn't have a balance passing game
Jets corners shut down everyone in 2022 and sauce was a rookie but dj and carter are very good to.. look at the receivers they went up against… EASY money
Jefferson gets held by sauce and nobody bats an eye it was clear as day and no flag like normal 😂 y’all want him to be a true elite so bad it’s just sad ignore the bs
Jets secondary is really good at hiding holds. Which is part of the game I’m not dissing. But tbh all year dbs been holding Jefferson and when there not he’s making huge plays. Cousins did not do a good job getting the ball to Jefferson today. Jets d made it hard. But both are great teams.
@@TopTierHater u do realize when u get held multiple times that’s before the catch right ? They took the penalties over getting beat by Jetta. So that counts as getting beat. Reed and sauce held him all game as soon as he started getting away from them. Kirk also missed him 5 times. Jetta would had 12 rec for 100+ if they didn’t hold him all game. Easy.
JJ got Sauce on ONE route but Kirk threw a bad pass. Other than that Sauce held his own. I saw this whole game and I damn sure didn’t see the “multiple” times JJ had Sauce beat with a bad throw.
@@bnabna1012 wrong! It was only 1. You realize these things are recorded right? It takes a 2 second search to see it was only 1 penalty in the 1st quarter Lmao 😂
You all act like if those passes were on point the jets DBs are not there to make a play . Those holds were bullshit calls especially considering how much “JJ” pushes off or any of the wr in this league for that matter . 7 catches for 45 yards ain’t no fluke . Go look at jamar chase and Steffon diggs stats against the jets . This shit ain’t nothing new . If berrios catches that ball in the end zone the tone on this comment board would be a lot different. FOH
Sauce won his?? 😭😭 Sauce got exposed almost everytime he lined up against JJ in man coverage.. Kirk had 2 inaccurate passes with JJ wide open & he missed JJ 2-3 more times he had separation on Sauce. He just isn't ready for a WR like him tbh & he gotta learn to use better technique instead of tryna hold so much..
@@CoCoa504sauce didn’t get exposed WTH haha. And remember he’s only a rookie so he hasn’t hit his ceiling yet. Keep hating on the rookie cb who’s going to the pro bowl this season
I really like Sauce but his fans have to be some of the most annoying and insecure mfs I’ve ever seen. Constantly on Stingley/Woolen posts saying “Sauce better” but when he gets beat/holds all game its just an endless list of excuses
The worst announcers in the NFL. Absolute trash. Beyond the Jets favoritism, they called Justin Jefferson Jordan Jefferson like 4-6 times and called Greg Joseph Andrew Joseph ???
