Drink You Away is Justin's song on his 20/20 Experience part 2 album. No Stapleton on the studio version. To think this was the opening act of the CMA's that night. They should have just ended the show after it started.

He always sang. He was in a bluegrass band and a rock band before he made it, but he did feed his family by writing songs for other country artists that weren’t even in the same stratosphere as him as a singer

Brother, this was other worldly. Chris Stapleton, JT, the background vocals, OMG, that band 🔥🔥🔥🔥 The lighting and audio technicians were all TOTALLY SIC 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾. You said it. IMAGINE BEING THERE LIVE TO SEE AND HEAR THIS MASTERPIECE? OMG. Where do I begin. EVERYONE, I let view this says they KILLED THIS. IT WAS A JOURNEY THAT HAD THE AUDIENCE CAPTIVATED. On paper, I would never put JT and Chris together on a stage. As you said, their styles are just so different, but my goodness, this is an amazing performance. From what I understand, we Have Morgan’s Stapleton to thank for it. Chris was nervous about doing a song on such a big stage (nationwide audience as well as the folks in the house), so Morgan’s suggested he call his buddy JT and ask him to come along - and magic was created.
