I’ve been going down a RU-vid reaction rabbit hole watching people loose their minds at Chris and Justin going in as deep as they can. I love when Chris and Justin are together because Chris has such a powerful voice Justin has to step his game up and it makes it so much better.
That was the first time Chris Stapleton came up on my radar - I just happened to tune in just as that performance started and I was like 😳😳😳 the whole time - and then I basically listened to nothing but him for the next month 😂. It is astonishing. He is so OTHER, no one does shit like that. And you're right, Morgane is keeping that stuff together 🤣

Absolute best performance I have EVER EVER SEEN!!!!!!! You know you’re good when a stadium full of musicians are going crazy for you!!!! And ALL OF THE BACKGROUND MUSICIANS WERE INSANE!!!!!! Organ, bass, brass section and especially his wife! Chris made JT do the best performance of his life!! You have to listen to this multiple times AND you need to listen to a different instrument each time to really hear it! HANDS DOWN BEST PERFORMANCE AND BEST COMPILATION AMD BEST MASH UP AND BEST COMPOSING EVER!
This reaction was awesome! This performance was legendary! I was blessed to see it live, and watching J T and Chris turn their peers into fans, is a sight to behold. Watching them performing it live, when it was done I was standing up, and had no recollection of how or when I had gotten off the couch!! It still gives me chills!!😁
My wife and I were watching it live thinking, someone should be fired because this was about halfway through the show. Everyone after that was in the shadow of that performance.
He brought the best out of JT. Justin got the spirit that night. When you have great singers like Chris and his wife and a great band behind you, and great songs it pushes you to show up and show out.
So much talent on that stage, I’m surprised they didn’t levitate from the sheer vibrations of their harmony! SOUL music is an experience, when it’s done right, it elevates, heals and unites. No matter what era, Soul will NEVER go out of style.

Drink you away is JT's song. Chris was a new artist at the time, the CMA's weren't going to let him perform. They finally agreed when Justin agreed to come onto the show and perform with him. Justin and Chris had become friends when Jessica (Justin's wife) hired Chris to play JT's birthday party. This show was Chris' introduction as a performer as he was mainly known as a singer/songwriter before this. He was nominated for many awards for the album that he swept that award show with...😁👍

A little backstory.....Chris suffers from severe stage fright so Morgane is always on stage somewhere when he performs. He has been in the music industry for years writing songs for other people.
