This song is so ridiculous 🔥🔥🔥 I feel like the guitar is just an extension of him, if that makes sense. Watching you switch back and forth from strait joy to ready to throw a shoe is my new favorite thing 😄
The 1st time I heard this song, I listened to it 4 times in a row!! Each time, a little bit louder 😍 Those chills are real. I actually love the studio version too.
For those, who like me, cannot get enough of Chris Stapleton.....He was in a few bands before going solo. One was called the Jompson Brothers which did Southern Rock style and the other was the Steel Drivers, a bluegrass band with some really awesome stuff with Chris on lead vocals. Check it out.
They blocked it because it was from British TV. Try doing him and Justin at the CMA's. There is a decent video on youtube you should be able to find it.
Dude there's this video of him from 2013 in a bar doing a song called Barely Alive...you gotta give that a listen, i cant find it ANYWHERE else but youtube.
You've already done Tennessee Whiskey. But Chris and his wife singing it at Austin City Limits is great. She is given him that yeah he belongs to me look. Classic.
He’s one of my favorite singers, bar none. Great reaction! I enjoy your reaction to such talent. He’s has really great songs with meaningful lyrics. “Either Way” ,”Barely Alive”, “Whiskey and You”, “What are You Listening To?”, are a few of my favorites that you will find sung live with acoustic guitar on You Tube that you should check out or react to.
Since you like this incredible blend of blues/soul/country/americana that Mr. Stapleton creates, I highly, HIGHLY recommend checking out Ray Lamontagne. Specifically, I think you’d like “Trouble” and “Such a Simple Thing.”
Great video and reaction. Chris is so raw. Voiceplay is a a capella group with covers in every genre from Tennessee Whiskey to Disney soundtracks. Enjoy Oogie Boogie Song.
Ok! I can hear all the rock greats in this man! The voice control of Robert Plant, he makes the guitar talk like Jimmy Page, he pulls the soul out of the strings like David Gilmour and he rips the cords like Billy Gillum!!!! I never thought I would ever see the likes of them again but here it is all wrapped into one amazing artist!!!!! WOW!
You should react to the Chris Stapleton & Justin Timberlake 2015 CMA performance of Tennessee Whiskey and Drink You Away. It is hands down one of the best award show performances, out side of Michael Jackson's Billie Jean performance at Motown 25.
In this or a recent video you said someone commented to not react to "white" music. Your response was music has no color. I cant believe someone would have the audacity to tell you not to react to anything. Afterall....we all as humans react to everything everyday. That's just plain simple mindedness. I am however going to disagree with you on your music has no color coment. I personally believe that music is the color that we paint our life stories with....it is all colors.....the entire pallet. I'm a die hard old school Metal Head with an affliction for anything done right.....I love disco, blues, old school R &B, not a huge fan of rap but it has its place when done right, also not a country fan yet somehow I know so much of it.....usually because of the newer era popish style country . Anyway....not trying to start a fight....I agree with most of what you say.....but music to me is not colorless. It is the color of life and the palette of my soul. I am a musician btw (bass player) so i see music different than some. Haters of anything music need to move on. There pallet is simply grey and dull and lifeless.
Chris is a kool Dude you have to know how to appreciate good music I love Country Music it tells a Story. You will definitely be two sheets in the wind when you leave
That’s my favorite Stapleton song too. The album version doesn’t have that badass jam session at the end, so I always have to dig that video up just to hear it. I like how you can hear him sorta paying homage to different artists in that solo. There’s a touch of BB King, a little Chuck Berry, to name two that I was able to pick out. Song just carries me away.
Dude - You have NO idea HOW GOOD Chris Stapleton is until you have listened to about 20 more of his songs… Especially: Death Row Whiskey and You (video Tiny Desk Concert) Outlaw State of Mind (Live at Farm Aid) Midnight Train to Memphis (Sat Night Live) Blue Side of the Mountain (SteelDrivers) Watch/React to these and then let’s hear what you say ! 😳😲
U make me so happy when I watch u ty im going through a rough time I really needed u in my life right now ty so much hey Listen 2 BROKEN HALOS PLEASE PRETTY PLEASE that's the song I played 4 My 26 year old Son Codybear Moyer
LOVIN your channel bro... good shit, gonna have to subscribe. You are 100% correct that Stapleton, while having a country sound and in the country world, his voice is blues/soul/r&b all day. An artist who is making a lot of noise these days that has a more country sound that I think you should react to is Tyler Childers... check out “Hard Times” It puke be a sound you haven’t visited on your channel yet, you might be pleasantly surprised.
Kick ass singer, kick ass songwriter. kick ass guitarist! Thank GOD for his kick ass wife cause if not for her we would have NEVER really heard his amazing voice!
sad part is as a country bumpkin baby i was wrong is literarily the most easy run for us XD he just did it dramatically showing the old addage you dont need to do it good you need to do it best
