+Kewol i mean that the celebs like jt would still the spotlight from the participants without even competing. ppl would not pay as much as attention to the entries and would only care for the interval act. the participants try hard to win and get their music out to a much wider public. with such famous interval acts a little would actually care about the actual contest. but that's just my opinion

Why not? Only one artist will not destroy the magic. Imagine a big country (the US) and only one voice! It would increase the interest immensely. Good for European artists to expose themselves for the US market. The ESC is not about winning, it is about having fun and exposing for different cultures, and (good) laughing at each other.

@@violetmoon4236 We don't want the US in our tradition. Why is it so hard to understand that we want something that just belongs to us? That connects our continent. It was created to bring Europe together after WW2. And it is still something special to us. There are still people who don't like the fact Australia joined. ( Even if Australia wins one da, it wont be held in Australia as far as I know). Sure it can be a platform, but most of the participants still ain't Europeanwide famous nor had hits in every country's charts. But it doesn't matter, since it is much more than that. And of course it is also about winning. People who participate want to win....who doesn't is lying. btw Eurovision is on for 65 years, and the interest is now rising...Australia follows it for example fro over 30 years. (just to compare). The US can create their own tradition and their own show. The same with Asia and Southamerica. Sure beautiful continents but do your own stuff. Also if people wanted Worldvision they would've created it a long time ago. Also I don't know why they even included famous Hollywood singers instead of making amazing intervals which shows the traditions and culture of the hosting country like it should be.

@@Niki91-HR ESC is not European tradition. In fact the East Europe countries were excluded from the contest, but Morocco was and still is allowed to participate. Isreal is not even in Europe. Every country who is full member of and pays to EBU is allowed to participate. Iraq, Jordan, Syria and all north Africa countries are allowed to participate. The US could be invited as a guest, in the same way as Australia. In a long term, this can "destroy" the contest, for ex if the whole Africa is allowed. Some guest participation would be fine.

America would win for it's experience in show biz and the finances that US is able to waste on eurovision... the reason why eurovision songs aren't yet pop hits is because it's done from the singers own budget if they have noone to support them, so they can't do amazing performances like JT did and they usually don't have a crew to help with song writing, 'cause there is no gain in winning eurovision and even so, the singers are developing every year and its getting better and better even with the short money that hey have.
