Calvin would make a brilliant Archbishop, Welby should step down , if he doesn't want to practice Christianity in its entirety and wants to change vital details in the religion, then he needs to go.If he wants to push his nose into politics then he should become a politician.
'Christianity in it's entirety'? - Is that having women as second class citizens? Stoning homosexuals to death? And bringing back human slavery? Get a grip bro!
Jesus said, ‘If you love me you will obey me’. Welby has not obeyed Jesus’s teaching and rejected the truth of scripture, instead, believing in woke culture. I therefore regard him and his cohorts as apostates who reject the True and Living God.
definition of glimmer = a faint or wavering light.... indeed he is and I hope his theology and his doctrines brighten up a bit. Then there might be hope.
Well if you are not a believer.... you make more sense that Welby ever made ..... I hope you like what l wrote...... I'm behind yr opinion 200%... blessings !
Depends on your concept of conservative. Lots of people believe to be conservative is to be traditional and to conserve our culture and that would be as it pertains to Edmund burkes idea of conservatism, would that we still be 20 years in the past. As it stands we are not, you can be Christian and oppose "modern" conservatism because modern conservatism does nothing but seed territory to those who would destroy us. The conservatism that exists today is neo-conservative not conservative.
I agree the Archbishop and anybody in a position of power or influence must be voted into that position. We must protect our Christian heritage in the UK and across the globe. I'm not alone I do not have a church to go to locally that has not been infected by the work mind disease.
Yes it's Christian countries starting with GB that put an end to global slavery and have saved millions of lives. And yes unfortunately slavery still goes on today in non Christian countries. In Africa the Middle East and China.
@@astraboots - you forget that Christian GB started the slave trade - they justified it by saying that black people were not humans but savages, did not have souls and could be treated like animals... Christians were the problem not the solution.
Bearing in mind that there is no majority Muslim country which would allow a Christian or Jewish group to have a radio station or place in their government. Why do modern native Britons are so keen to hand these rights to politico/religions like Islam. The political aspirations of Islam, such as the DEMAND for Shariah law should deny them the right of recognition as a religious body. A look across the Channel will identify this fact. Only political hubris will preserve misguided notions of multicultural aspirations that will never work. Leftwing multiculturalists have gone woke simply to get their way. Anyway, Parliament itself is almost irrelevant now as real power is held by the civil non-service. Truly, this is bureaucracy in it purest expression. They are brainwashed into lining their thinking with Marxist philosophy. It's almost universal in the UK. Teachers, NHS, Home Office, etc., They need to be changed and reduced if Britain is to survive.
The well-used phrase "keep out of politics" is a nonsensical statement. The lives of all of us, whoever we are, are engaged politically to a greater or lesser extent. Indeed, certainly as adults we all have political responsibilities because we are a society (even though Thatcher disputed that). No man is an island entire of itself. So yes, everyone should engage politically - you, me, the king, the archbishops, everyone who is able to do so.@@steverocky7215
I think both the Archbishops or York and Canterbury should resign and I and many have lost all faith in their leadership or should I say complete lack of. Perhaps two of the worst archbishops for some centuries and they are letting Chistian orthodoxy down with woke and weak views.
Politics should be kept out of religion. Calvin is articulate with intelligence speech and standing up for children's safety, putting his faith on the line. The Church of England rejected his ordination and I am delighted that Christanity hasn't. ❤
The CofE have a trans woman Archdeacon of Bolton and Salford, ironically called Dr Mann. When you stray this far from the principles of you follow you may as well tear up the book.
I loath Justin Welby, Calvin is right he’s metropolitan elite to he’ socks.. Typical Vince Cable, why not Muslims ? Had to be reminded we’re a Christian country. Country. Vince didn’t know that
I like Calvin and believe he would make a good religious leader of the Anglican faith. Justin Welby should NOT be in the House of Lords, he is a disgrace to his religion. Which religious leader should be allowed to change their book of faith, regardless of which faith, to suit their own agenda and opinions. I believe it is high time that the public be allowed to vote on those sitting in the House of Lords and that admittance should not be automatic. The woke agenda does not bode well for freedom of speech, common courtesy, decency and respect for others. This is a form of brain washing that needs to be tackled and a good place to start would be with our two main media sources, BBC and ITV.
He's right about African Christians being more loyal to the Word of God. As a Papist, I was hoping that Cardinal Sarah would have been the Pope in place of... the current... office holder. Principally for his principles.
"...in place of.... the current... office holder..." 😂 Can't even bring yourself to say it, can you? 😂 I'm with you mate. He's a Pinko who's cos playing as Pope.

@@andrewoliver8930 Strange, I would consider enslaving anyone to their carnal desires would be "keeping them down". Go to your local library and look for a copy of Salman Rushdie "The Satanic Verses". You wont find one. Even my small local library had two copies of Midnights Children. There wasnt one copy of Satanic Verses in any Library in the whole county. I finally tracked the only copy down. It was kept off the shelves, in storage in a city centre University stock and was only sent out on request.

Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the Lord Jeremiah 23:2 - The USA and Britain prophecy. - Peter Salemi
Leaders in the church need to know better that they are following the primary lead of Christ, the Lord. Without Jesus to follow as head of the church, all church magistrates are merely following the inclinations of sinful flesh. Lord Jesus, help us.
Calvin is correct, that the Bible should be preached accurate and concise according to the Scripture. God has never allowed for the interpretation of his words.
???? If a man has a stubborn and rebellious son who will not obey the voice of his father or the voice of his mother, and who, when they have chastened him, will not heed them, then his father and his mother shall take hold of him and bring him out of the elders of his city, to the gate of the city. And they shall say to the elders of the city, “This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious, he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton and a drunkard.” Then all the men of his city shall stone him to death with stones; so you shall put away the evil from among you, and all Israel shall hear and fear.@@davidgalloway5598
Is Calvin afraid of progress, afraid of really loving others, afraid of tolerance, afraid of people who have a different religions, afraid of gays? The Christian far-right keeps getting more and more afraid. Was Jesus afraid?

Be prepared for a inclusive paraphrase of the Bible to be presented soon as prescriptive. For starters "'I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. Noone comes to the Father except through Me" And "He who believes in Me shall not perish, but inherit eternal Life"
The CofE is a state religion. It is headed by an aristocrat. Just look at its birth....it was imposed upon the English, refusal was punished. It encouraged membership with social advantages and persecuted recusants. It gave vast wealth and privilege to the upper classes and presided over poverty and abuse of the working class with cold hearted abandonment. The working class have abandoned it.....to Catholicism, non conformist churches amd atheism. The churches are empty, many sold off as mosques, pubs, cafes, gyms or simply demolished..the proceeds of which pay the salaries and pensions of woke clergy with no congregations.
The irony, of ironies is that there is nothing conservative about protestantism or the B.S of CoE when you stack it up against the truth of the Catholic Church which began with, by, and from the Apostles who were inspired and instructed by Jesus Christ. Everything else and anything else is a despicable duplicitous protestant lie.
You clearly don't know the Bible. It is a very accurate account of what is happening in this wicked world. Also eschatology which is very precise on the history of this world. Be careful who you mock!
What is the point of two right wing GBNEWS presenters slagging off the Archbishop of Canterbury. Is this supposed to be news? Or does it simply justify their salaries?
