This man knows whats important, aluminium is a much better frame material option for amateur crit racers than carbon. You are going to come off the bike at some point and no company is giving you a free frameset for Saturday's race.
@brettbaker3991
@brettbaker3991 Год назад
He’s completely sponsored he can get a free frameset whenever he crashes aha
@tomsan91
@tomsan91 Год назад
@@brettbaker3991 he can, he could be on the Tarmac SL7 all day. But the recyclability of the Sprint and CAAD framsets is a good reason to shift. Personally I prefer a non carbon bike for crits and enduro mtb riding where the weight penalty isn't going to come in to play the same as on an alpine climb.

@@n8torious309 not free, is payed to ride them. and like he said, he likes it, gives one bike away at every race he goes to. And he has the choice of going sl7 or allez. So let the man ride what he wants

@@bernardo9202 motherfucker are you that fucking dense. he is paid to ride a FREE bike he didn't pay for. damn dude being inbred must be so hard sometimes. like do you not actually understand sponsorships?

Those hoods are either the new "unreleased" SRAM red hoods or he has rival/force hoods on a full red groupset for some reason.

The best reason I can think of is ergonomics. Current red levers are so chonky

Yes. And a bit 'bouncy'.

Really don't understand why these dudes aren't doing 1x chainrings And don't even try telling me that their crit courses are hilly lmao cuz they're not
@bennyaw2141
@bennyaw2141 Год назад
I mean, they train on those bikes too so it makes sense. It’s not like they have the budget of a world tour team to just have specific race bikes and mechanics available 24/7 to change the drivetrains, you know.
@dib_sports
@dib_sports Год назад
Valid point. For the majority of Crits, you'd never need the little ring...

I reckon it's a timing pod, most races use something like this. In the events I've been in (none of which were races, but timed events), the most my bike ever had was a disposable RFID tag.

I just don't like these narrow bars and how I see these pros turning in their brake leavers
@dib_sports
@dib_sports Год назад
I understand the narrow bars for 'aero' benefits, however, I don't like how it changes the bike handling as well as 'out of the saddle' efforts when putting power down on the pedals. Regarding the shifters being faced inwards, it's definitely 'different' for sure... I have some friends (all younger) that do it.
@fyahwerks
@fyahwerks Год назад
@@dib_sports it may have its benefits. Marginal gains. I wouldn't see myself going lower than a 40cm width bar.
@dib_sports
@dib_sports Год назад
@@fyahwerks I agree. Even 40 may be too narrow for me but it of course depends on the rider.
