Greenovia without root will grow roots before watering during dry planting period or after you water. So long they are place in cooling area instead of our intense outdoor heat

And the soil is gritty soil mix 70% are like lava rot, pumice zeolite with perlite.I didn’t do watering so far is only misting. They are kept in house near the window morning sun and afternoon shaped light. Does it mean that I should start watering when I see the petal is opening? Pls advice, thank you
@@violetching1365 there is few possibilities, with our weather the soil can release moist, although you have add in perlite. That is why some plants survive with root growth without any watering. The pot that we use is not breathable type. The area that is placed do not have enough ventilation. Sometimes our morning sun can be intense too😢. So long it is rotten, it has moist that is produced without us realising it.

Do you mean the edge of the petals/ leaf? If yes, this is part of the rose growing process. Bottom petals will dry off and the middle petals will grow. Nevertheless time to water when October autumn or when they are awake during this time around. Because we are in Malaysia, we follow the growth cycle.
Patrice, you can placed them indoor at the window sill with morning sunlight. Ensure good ventilation with Windows open or you can use a fan. Growing roots after summer when they are awake. Using high grit soil with perlite / pumice mix will encourage root growth plus low temperature.
Does you place have 4 seasons or just 2 seasons: hot and wet season? I am from Ho Chi Minh city from Vietnam, HoChiMinh city is just got 2 seasons: hot and wet. I think it’s difficult for me to grow Greenovia . Please teach me how to grow them 😭😭😭
You can use the second method. Indoor or good shaded and good ventilation are or indoor near window sill. Watering only between Oct to April. May to September they go into dormancy, here they need watering.
