Hi Maher, I use 2 RGB lights units, Jayhill from Amazon. Cheap but do the trick on a low energy setup.

Both great lights but i prefer the less purple/red of the e series, I also stick with easier category plants so the e series is great for me. If you're going for more red, more demanding plants and injecting CO2 the s series is more powerful and suitable. Hope this helps👍

Both good sizes I would probably go with the 240litre.

Hi Liam, I have two filters running which makes a huge difference, but yeah you're right the more the tank matures the more the better the water quality should be as long as a good maintenence routine and water changes are kept up. All depends on how many and the size of the fish you stock to...A good product to help with water quality especially in the early stages is Seachem Purigen👍

GEORDIE SCAPER thank you for the swift reply!🙂I have my matrix on the bottom, can I use purigen in tandem with matrix or do I take out matrix.My tank is a 95 cm x 50cm x 40 and holds about 200 litres. Flow is good but it’s just ever so slightly milky towards the back viewing from the front. I might add some filter floss too, I’ll keep at it!

Thankyou so much, glad you enjoyed. Wanted to give Trident fern a go, still an easy category plant and I think it's doing ok with the softer water I have, not 100% sure it's down to that but as long as it's growing and healthy I'm happy. I was diagnosed with clinical depression and insomnia a fair while back and some days are dark and I struggle to get out of the house. This hobby and doing youtube vids really helps me though and although still indoors keeps me occupied. Sorry to be so blunt about it but best to speak and be honest about it.

I had a feeling it was that. I know only to well about depression. It's one of the most paralyzing illnesses there is. Unless somebody experiences it they can never understand how it engulfs your life. It's awful when you are going through an episode. Keep doing what you are doing as you have a talent. It also gives you some comfort ❤️💗❤️

Thankyou so much for the kind words Emma, means alot. It's a horrible and complex illness and I've finally accepted it's an illness that needs treating. Must say the NHS have been brilliant with support etc. Yeah i plan on making a real go of it and you're right it does give me comfort and as George always says "a sense of purpose" which is what I really need. Once again thankyou, reading messages like this really inspire and motivate me😊
