How did it go?

@Ayman Ibrahim It went great! Hooked up two amps and two subs to it. Used a Metra aswc-1 for the steering controls and plugged the 3.5mm into the JVC. Connected 6 cameras with the help of a quad view module. Upgraded my speakers. First time installing a car stereo myself and thankfully all worked out great!

@firpofutbol thanks for your reply, my understanding that you don't need the Metra aswc1 as this jvc unit comes with a connection to retain the steering wheel control.

@Ayman Ibrahim I think you might be right about the steering wheel control. It did come with steering wheel wires without the little box as the aswc1 but I wasn't sure if it would work on my car since the headunit I replaced had a similar module as the aswc1 installed so I just went ahead and installed it to be safe. I was kind of in a rush so ordered all the parts and didn't want to experiment at the time. If I get a chance to try it with the JVC wires down the line I will let you know if it works.

It add the car speed into the mix if the antenna is not picking up. Tall buildings and tunnels.
