I want to clarify two infos from the video: - Shinobi games came before the Genesis… when I number them, I mean the order of appearance on the platform - sales numbers of the Wondermega fluctuate highly… I've seen that ranging from 20k up to 500k Thanks!
That's awesome. I had a similar experience with my cousin's Mega Drive... we basically only had Sonic 1 and 2 to play, so I've played those games SO MANY TIMES... they're engraved in my brain lol
@@VideoGameShowcase LOL, I remember I finished Sonic 2 around 20 times, most of the times I only got to Chemical Plant. The songs of this game are probably the oldest nostalgia feeling I have...
Edu. You are awesome! My wife is still learning English (I'm an American who knew Portuguese before we met), so you save me the time of translating the English content from the games. We especially love watching you play the horror-games. You and Max give us a lot of quality time together. Thanks for what you do, and congratulations on all that you've accomplished!
@@VideoGameShowcase I apologize in advance for writing a book here, but this ended up being a pivotal decision in my life (I still primarily communicate with my wife in Portuguese after all). I learned Portuguese at a time when the BRICS economies were said to be where the highest concentration of growth would be. I have always wanted to get out of the US (this place has some things that are just plain crazy). Brazil seemed like a place that could offer a life that was more relaxed in a lot of aspects, and, with a chance for significant economic growth, it would be a great place to go after I finished my master's degree. That move got delayed, perhaps permanently. A lot has changed since then in terms of the economic outlook, but I don't regret learning it one bit. Brazil still has a ton of wonderful people to get to know. I may find that certain aspects are getting a little too close to what we have here in the US, but, at their core, Brazilians always seem to be warm, kind people. Working remote since the pandemic has allowed me to spend considerable time in Brazil and hop around to the neighboring countries with my wife. I found your channel, and Max's, while I was in Brazil during the pandemic (over 8 months). By learning Portuguese, I got a leg up on learning Spanish, Italian, and it even helped a little when I went to study French. It was a very good investment of my time to have BrazilianPodClass become the soundtrack to my life for a couple of years, even if I ultimately decide to settle down somewhere like Canada or Europe.
Ah that's awesome. Portuguese does help a lot when learning French, Italian and Spanish... and even Romanian. It's great you got to spend some time in Brazil... I love it, but it's a shame it's so dangerous and expensive nowadays. Canada is really good, even though it declined a lot in the past few years. New Zealand was also awesome, I really want to go there again. Europe is definitely not for me, even though I enjoy being there... I just wouldn't live there. Thanks a lot for the comments!
Congrats for the English channel, man! It comes to me that long time ago I was watching a video or a live and you said that this is a project that you had in mind. It's funny because at the time, I couldn't understand a word in English and I remember commenting on chat like: "Puts, uma pena que muitos de nós não vai entender nada". For me it was super cool seeing you being able to translate the cutscenes in Bully playthrough. Watching Funky videos in Dublin used to make me amazed, too. You guys going to E3, ah man... So I've played Final Fantasy VII on PS1 emulator with Cambridge Dictionary website on Alt+Tab to understand the story, than GTA Vice City, than Skyrim, and many titles, and than I started to watch some guys like MetalJesus and Caddicarus on YT and here we are! What i'm trying to say is that i'm really thankful for the hard work you've been done on RU-vid Brasil all these years. It's increadible to see the passion you have for video games. Recently you've introduced Cogumelando and RetroGamerBrasil to us. Good part of who I am is because of you and Funky. You inspire people. Brigado memo Duduzinho! Por toda sapecagem e bilagem há tantos anos
The X’Eye can’t change from Genesis mode to Master System mode when powered on. That’s why. With regular Genesis the console turns on in Genesis mode but it’s able to switch to Master System mode while powered on.
