I read thru the instructions!!! which are very vague, these people ASSUME that everybody in the world knows everything about how to program everything. I do not. I have not found the place that is shown in the product instructions. i have watched several On-Line instruction Videos and they are all the same, VAGUE and cannot find a way to hook up to WIFI with this device. Im going to return it for my $60.00 refund. And purchase a different one that I can figure out!
The video is not helpful. WHERE are we doing all this? On a website, an app?? Where is the screen shown through the whole video? The first step should say "go to https//" or "download this app".
Caroline Aldrich: Yes, the voiceless video did make certain poor assumptions about the viewer's knowledge. The list of potential connections is a function of your device's network listing, a program that's imbedded into the device's operating system. So, if you use Windows you can search for the available networks. This also can be done on a smartphone, etc. Additionally, you can use your URL line (where the location of the various web pages that you see on the web is located) to type in the wife extender's address from which you can connect using the instructions in this video. Note, too, that I haven't done this with this particular WIFI range extender so I'll limit myself, here, to what I see in the video. Also, I did purchase this item and it seems to be broken, though new, because though turned on properly and close to my WIFI router, it doesn't show up, neither via the web address (as just described above) or in my available networks. So, good luck. ;)
