Even though the accident happened after his rookie year in the NBA if you noticed that list the pro careers of players influenced people's view of their voting even though it shouldn't. Jay didn't have a pro career but you got to move on, at least he was an all American and he gets paid good money to talk about basketball. But its the entertainment business a lot of times he is paid to say things that are controversial if he was just all vanilla that would not help the ratings.

That's why I say it's arguable because it's hard to judge how good Kidd was just looking at numbers. Case in point when his Cal team beat defending champs Duke in the 93 tourney, 4 people outscored Kidd in that game but imo he was the best player on the floor. Nicely said... 100% agree. You know you're college hoops. You should have made the list. I mentioned this b4... I hated Duke with a passion, they were the college villain team and we loved to hate on them. Some of their players were among the best at their respective positions. Christian Laetner, Grant Hill and Jason Williams stick out. Williams destroyed people at college and made grown men cry by beating their teams. Not me, but other grown dudes.
