He describes himself as a disobedient child with a penchant for wrestling and mischief. The song reflects on the simplicity and innocence of childhood, where fitting in was as easy as having the right clothes and being part of a group. The song also touches on the theme of forgiveness and letting go of the past. The lyrics read "Ei muisteta pahalla ku tuut vastaa unohdetaa menneet ja halataa," which translates to "We don't remember with malice, when you come we forget the past and hug." I don't usually listen to this kind of music, but Käärijä needs to be noticed because he has something unique. His second place will be his big break so people will pay more attention to him. He is the big winner in this context.
@@jannejohansson3383 Well, this style has evolved from South Africa to Russia to Finland. First Die Antwoord created it in 2009 and later on they had a concert with Little Big warming. Little Big got alot credit there and actually they was going to enter Eurovision 2020(cancelled). Käärijä seems to have very same traits as Little Big and Die Antwoord.

I’m in the US and I only started watching Eurovision a few years ago. I’m so thankful to be introduced to so many great artists that I never would have heard of here.
One of the best things about Eurovision is the opportunity to discover artists that under "normal" conditions go unnoticed by most of people and that deserve to be appreciated because their work is actually good. Käärijä is one of those artists because what he does is very impressive, rapping is hard and rapping in Finnish must be even harder, but he makes it sound so easy , count me in as a fan👍👍
Yeah, then sweden send some woman from old people's house. Next year there's skeleton's of abba, I think. They having hard time to produce something new. I know the reason, but I cannot tell it, without getting hard times here ;p
Eurovision made me discover this gem of an artist. I dont understand anything, but im having fun, and I think thats one of the thing he wants to do with his music. Also allo from quebec !
Normaalisti mun musiikkimaku painottuu metallin puolelle, mut nyt oon ollu ihan koukussa Käärijän biiseihin.
Synthwaven makustelija. Käärijä uusi tuttavuus, mutta ei ollenkaan huono! Cha cha chan luokittelisin industrial metal genreen, jota party metaliksikin kai voisi kutsua 😅
@@TonyZi Sitä mäki oon niille ihmisille sanonut jotka syyttää Käärijää Electric Callboyn plagioinnista, että Cha cha cha:ssa on industrial metallii ja Electric Callboy on metalcoree. Niissä on selkeä ero.
I didn't realize there are actually other artists in Finland apart from metalli. I've been listening to rock all my life and I'm soooo glad due to Eurovision I got to know Käärijä. I really like that he sings in Finnish, music is universal, anyway. But I also like he talks Finnish. I've been learning Finnish some years ago. but most Finnish performers sing and talk English, so Yere is truly unique. I would love if he keeps up with Finnish.
I go back in time, but fortunately those times are gone. I was weird, not a good example I missed behaviour 101 Hey! I behaved like a brat I watched Smackdown on the TV and fought with my older brother, wild times, throwing chairs all the time between friends, I was a little bastard, through grade school like a sloth, I still feel moral shame and my breath stinks from that taste of cigarette And from those few incoherent memories, I feel ashamed. No harsh memories, when I meet you let's forget the past and hug. Past the gravel road and I arrive at my grandma. I went to the living room to wait for the buns fresh from the oven. While waiting I get that from the drawer. That album to fresh out my memories from the childhood. When we dressed in Mic Mac, we were the Mic Mac Guys When we dressed in Mic Mac we were the Mic Mac Guys Didn't mind the colour, all that matters was that fit was fat. Mic! Mac! Fit! Fat! Again, back in time my big mouth got the bigger boys to get their hands on me. I was the Jarkko Ruutu (rough player) of the yard games, chin got bruises when the kids are playing. I didn't got cold feet if I had to burn buddy for a trick or go stepping on a weak ice, and then grandma had to dry my clothes. There's something similar in my father and I, the poor apple didn't drop far from the tree. But when I felled I broke my wrist totally. I still am banned from Habbo Hotel, I return the stolen Pokemon Cards. No harsh memories, when I meet you let's forget the past and hug. Past the gravel road... When we dressed... x 2 And when we went too far with the pranks we got through detentions with the Mic Mac Guys Didn't Mind the colour, all that matters was that fit was fat Mic! Mac! Fit! Fat!
Late night translation of the lyrics. Took some liberties with some of the phrases. Finnish is quite rich language and there is no good translations for the words rasavilli (kind of bratty kid) and morkkis (moral shame of the next day after a drunken night)
He could rock the same pink his dancers had! Or a similar suit than in the video but in ”Käärijä green”! Or whaterver - he can make anything work with confidence.
It's good you recorded the viewing figure there ... a month later and it has nearly doubled (192k mid April 2023). I just wish I could get my hands on the physical album (CD) of Fantastista ... can't find one anywhere and Warner Music Finland not bothering to reply to a simple question 😑.
I really like this and the visual. Havent a clue whats its about but there is something about his powerful voice and the strong beat. So much is spoken about artists having or not having the likability factor. He has it in bucket fulls.
How wonderful that the world is getting to know you, your music and the joy you bring! Thank you! 12 points for Eurovision to you!! Good luck from Australia!
