Just a quick note on how things wore: *ALSO I'm getting some comments on the BB Cream looking super gray. It's not that gray in person, I promise! 😅😅 I was experimenting in editing with cooling down the tone of my videos (because sometimes I feel like my hair and skin look orangey) and I think I went a little bit too far because the foundation does look super gray on camera. Sorry about that! 1. The Heimish mascara didn't flake into my eyes this time...yay! Maybe the last tube I got was old and dried out or something. 2. The Etude eyeshadow was so long lasting! It still looked perfect by the time I went to bed...very impressed. 3. The lip stain didn't feel as dry as most stains do. I still felt like I wanted to apply some lip balm after a few hours but I normally do that anyway. 4. All of the skincare I applied felt great throughout the day, my skin was hydrated and plump and never felt dry. 5. The blush and contour weren't super long-lasting...they were very soft and silky though. 6. I already went back to Amazon and ordered more of those Romand melty lip balms...they're SO good!
I bought the new lip oil gloss by Peripera and it was sooo disappointing. Not moisturizing nor hydrating at all. Peripera and Rom&nd lip products are the only ones that are moisturizing enough for me from what I tried so far. Perhaps it will fare better in the humid and sticky summer.😒
Sorry Jen but the foundation looked so grey on my iPad screen it looked like you had just been dug up 😮......apart from that you looked gorgeous as always.....I love your Channel ❤️
This channel has thrived and survived for a reason. It’s refreshing to always feel the respect you have for your viewers. You’ve just consistently shared your passion and experience. Thank you. 😊
I started K Beauty about 3 years ago and have continued to use more and more of the skin care products since then. I'm 71 and have always had good skin but now get so many compliments on my beautiful skin.
Hi Jen, I was very interested in K- skin care products, please can you do a update video on these products after you have been using them for a while, I’m curious how they preform, i love that eyeshadow shades on you, it’s giving me Natasha Denona my dream palette mini vibes( love it). Love Katherine xoxo
I’m a huge lover of Korean skincare and beauty. I love the Missha BB cream and I’ve turned my daughters onto it as well. I love many of the brands that you shared today and I learned some new ones too. I appreciate that you don’t do sponsored videos, and I feel that your recommendations are more trustworthy.
@@pennylynn1998Jen’s the real deal, she is amazing and I so trust her reviews, I wait on her reviews before I buy anything nowadays. I cringe every time I see in someone’s title, I’m obsessed, I delete and move on. 😂
Jen, the skincare looks lovely and as a person with “mature” skin and have to be careful with powder I’d like to try the pore blurring powder! I did notice that the BB Cream had a very grey cast on you (could be the lighting?) the bronzer helped to counteract this on your cheeks but it’s still very grey on your forehead 🤔. I agree with you on the Romand lip balms - love them! I think you’d really like the “Coco Nude” shade
The pressing and layering technique with your toner you showed on one of your videos has made a huge difference in the hydration of my skin--thank you!! I'm trying some k-beauty products too and I'll post if I love any of the skin care products. Love seeing some k-beauty makeup. Would like more when you're ready, This was so much fun.
I love the Anua Heartleaf toner. I layer it under the Haru Haru Wonder Black Rice toner (fragrance free version) and then the Iunik Beta Glucan serum. My face feels soooo hydrated.
I haven't even watched the whole video yet, but I found your channel from one of your skincare videos, and that toner layering technique has helped my dry skin so much! 🙏
@@pinkbubblesnake it's called Most People Don't Know this Secret from May 31, 2023. Jen shares her morning and evening skin care routine. Hope that helps!
The Etude house Sunprise has been my holy grail for the past 4 years! I have extremely sensitive skin and never have had issues or reactions. Great for rosacea as it's super lightweight.
Who doesn't love K beauty? Right now i'm using the Scinic SPF 50 , so affordable and lightweight ! Everytime i buy k-beauty Missha , Purito and Mizon Snail mucin BB Cream are add ons( the Mizon one runs a little darker so i go a shade lighter but this one is a like a high coverage foundation) ❤
Missha CC cream still remains one of my favorites all these years later. And the grayish undertone is perfect. I use the Nimbuzin toner which is lovely. Has a slight oily feel but doesn’t leave a film just a glorious sleekness to your skin. Great if your using a full coverage or matte foundation. I may have to try the Nimbuzin cream serum. Looks seriously interesting. I use the 6 peptides toner and am loving it as well. Love the eyeshadow palette…truly cool toned and am here for it. All the lip shades you used looked beautiful on you. I’m partial to pinks but all looked lovely. Thoroughly enjoyed this video.
I'm kind of confused. I went on Amazon and there's 2 different ones. The 1st one is the one with her link and the other one is Airy finish sun milk, in a more squared off bottle. Have you tried both. If so, I'm just curious about the texture difference.
I love Korean sunscreen. It’s so good. Doesn’t feel greasy at all. I’m gradually changing the products I use to Korean brands. My skin looks smooth and soft. If Korean makeup is as good as skincare, I’ll definitely try it.
@@kathleenp3135 the SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica sunscreen is SO good, my absolute favorite. The texture and moisture is amazing and leaves my skin with a soft glow, doesn't pill, just perfect. The Beauty of Joson is really good too. Be careful of fake products, it looks like K skincare is super popular and counterfeits are popping up.
Jen, you have to try the Peripera Inkcara! This mascara is not a tubing formula, but it gives you a nice length (I have the lengthing version; there's a volume version too) and it does not smudge or flake. I do have to warn you: it's a bit harder to remove at the end of the day, so I recommend double cleansing. Peripera also has other amazing lip products: the ink mood glowy tints are my favorite! Just like you, I suffer from dry lines in my lips, so I am picky with the lip products I use. The ink mood glowy tints are a cross between a lip gloss and a lip tint. Definitely makes lips smooth and hydrating. ❤
I always hear great things about Korean skin care, and I've had good luck with Korean BB creams in the past. Thanks for all of the recs, Jen! Love how affordable they are, too!!
K beauty seems so confusing to me, I guess because of the unknown brands. Doing this for us is so generous Jen, seems magical. Some of the brands are starting to sound a bit familiar but there is a trust issue. Now that you have named names I feel so much better getting started. Thank you for all the work you do to educate us by giving both an informed opinion and truthful information. It means so much to me and I really enjoy spending time with you. You have grown so much in the time I have been watching! Interesting that even as adults we can still grow and mature so very much. Your friends and family have a lot to be proud of in you Jen!!!❤🤗
Aw thank you Marjorie! I'm a very introverted person so putting myself out there for RU-vid was very hard at first and I was uncomfortable. I think it probably showed through on camera, but as time went on I feel so much more relaxed now. 🥰
Hey Jen, u MUST TRY Korean cushion foundations. Life changing. I used to use foundations all the time but now only use cushion foundation. The best one I've tried is the jungsaemmool essential skin nuder cushion foundation. So natural and skin like. Best foundation i ever tried! ❤
I used to use Korean cushions years ago but haven't tried one in a while. You're right they are fantastic! I'll check out the one you recommended for sure, thanks! :)
Hi Jen, so glad the Heimish mascara did not flake into your eyes. I wanted to ask if you've tried the Clio Kill Lash Super Proof mascara - there are two options "long curling" and "volume curling". I just love K-Beauty and can recommend the Dear, Klairs - Midnight Blue Calming Cream for irritated and sensitive skin. Loved this video - regards
Idk how you knew this was exactly what I needed!!! I’m moving from American skincare to K-beauty for expense & texture. As I’m on a tretinoin journey-my skin never felt hydrated, but was always oily. Thank you and would love to see more!!❤
Jen, I use the D’Abla in my foundations in the winter. It’s beautiful. You and I have similar skin and I recommend the Pyunkang Yul intensive repair (more for fall/winter months. It’s beautiful.
Another lip product I'd recommend from Rom&nd if you haven't tried it is the juicy lasting tint! It's a non drying easy to wear tint. I especially think you'd love the shade #25 "bare grape"... it's a gorgeous cooler toned my lips but better type shade.
Sunprise is one of my favorite sunscreens. I haven't seen it recently so it's good to know I can get it at I Herb. I use a lot of layers in my AM routine. Lately I am experiencing peeling and pilling on application of my foundations. My naked skin looks smooth and glowing, but as soon as I apply foundation, no matter how light, it looks patchy. All of my skin prep is Korean that I've used for years. The only new addition in Oct 2023 is M4 by Alloy. It is a prescription estrogen cream that I apply first before any other layer. Great video and reviews. It helps that you are my skin twin, ie. dry, light with a cool undertone. Everything you buy, works for me too.
I love kbeauty!! I'm obsessed with the cosrx proposlis synergy toner, it's extremely hydrating, I think you'd like it! Also for lips, my holy grail is the etude fixing tint. It's soo lightweight on the lips and lasts such a long time. Highly recommend!!
Love layering the toners/essences/serums too! My 55 year old skin drinks it up. Such a great way to add moisture without being too heavy especially for daytime. I layer at night too but I top it off with a thicker more emollient cream. I’ve been loving k beauty.
Oh I been using the CosRX I love it!!! Numbuzin #5 is great toner too (morning lol) RNW essence and ceramide serum and mist are my daily favs! 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍
I Love that d'Alba spray Serum!! Definitely will be a permanent step in my skincare routine, perfect for my mature, dry skin ( turning 56 in May ) I hope you like it as much as i do Jen. I really noticed a difference after about a week ❤
For people in the lashes don't stay curled the hemish curl up line is Waterproof and the bomb...I combine it push up angel Waterproof by Maybelline. Love to you Godspeed Dee
I am in LOVE and obsessed with k beauty... so much great products without animal testing, and most of it is close to drugstore prices! I love the toners and essences... all the choices. Just love the stuff. I've been using a lot of Pyunkang Yul products, and I love them... Beauty of Joseon, Miisha, Benton, it's just a massive list of amazing prBentonville, Numbuzin is a crazy name that confuses my autocorrect. 😂😂 PS the gold nail polish is 🔥
Hi Jen, I just love all of the products you are using, skincare and makeup. What a great haul from K-Beauty. I love the softness of the lip balms and glosses. The bronzer and blush were so soft it was almost skin like to me and so very pretty. Thank you Jen for a wonderful video with great products that makes me want to try some of them for sure.❤💗💕💕🤍🌹🌺🌸💐
I am not sure about that foundation. It's almost too gray. Maybe it's the lighting.🤔 I am very interested is some of the other products though. Great video!
@@JenPhelpsI am glad you see it too on film. Weird that it looks so gray. When you were saying it looked so natural, I was seriously questioning my vision.😂
Yes! I’m here for this content. I use Asian beauty products for almost all of my skincare and have been curious about more makeup products. I got the powder you recommended (in the light shade so I can use it all over my face) but haven’t ventured out beyond that. I think I might have to give those first lip products a shot!
Thank you for reviewing K-beauty! I haven't used a skincare or makeup product I didn't like. I'd love it if you reviewed more Korean, Chinese and Japanese beauty please ❤
I use the missha bb cream in shade 23 same as Jen. It's definitely not grey like the video and is the perfect colour for my fair to light neutral skin tone. I can't wait to try more k-beauty
I am relieved the gray look was an editing thing. After tracking my skincare prices, I began looking at K-beauty for budget options early this year. I am loving the HaruHaru Wonder Eye cream! With a shellfish allergy, I am avoiding the snail. I am wondering about the plant versions. That CosRX 6 Peptide Serum has caught my eye. I'll add the sunscreen to my list of things to try. I just re-purchased the HaruHaru Wonder mineral version. Romand balms, I need to try that. They look like the Nyx Slick Click lippies.
I really enjoy a lot of K-Beauty Skincare Products, especially K-Beauty Sunscreens as they don’t irritate my skin and eyes like sunscreens tend to do. I really do want to try K Beauty Makeup.
I *love* the Rom&nd lip balms, and I’m definitely going to have to pick up the Peripera lip products, too. I got into K-Beauty/Asian Beauty products maybe 10-ish years ago, and I have had such great success with many products. There are several that I just keep going back to, or always have in my skincare routine. So glad you found some gems! Thanks, Jen. 💕
I’m a light warm olive skin tone so I always mix in a K beauty bb cream (like the Missha) into my foundation and the mixture of the warm + grey gives me a good olive undertone.
I'm light warm olive too. F2 olive by about face is an almost a perfect shade match. before that foundation I've had to mix 2 or 3 colors to try and get my undertone
Between swatching the BB cream and applying it, your nail varnish disappeared ! Loved the eyeshadow palette, colours are beautiful. Gorgeous as always Jen ❤
My daughter and I have been using the Etude House milk sunscreen for several years now. She has sensory issues and has found it's one of the few sunscreens she can wear without a lot of discomfort. We both love it, although I don't love how much they've raised the prices over the last couple of years. (Up over $4 the past couple of years).
Do you like the Sun milk better than the one she's using? I just noticed on Amazon that there are 2 different formulas. Have you tried both? If so, what's the texture difference? One says Mild Airy finish sun milk. The sun milk one is in a somewhat squared off bottle and the other one looks like a tube. It says Mild Weightless Watery Light. I want whichever one feels lighter, not greasy. Thank you in advance. ❤
I really enjoyed this video. Thank you so much for reviewing Korean products. I follow a few channels but you are the only one that really covers Asian products.
Missha will always be my go to bb cream.. Im a light skin latina and I also have issues with everything being orange warm tones. Im more nuetral, so it's so perfect for me.
@JenPhelps omg how did I miss you were half Latina? 😅 Especially Puerto Rican!! 🇵🇷 Yess🥳!! My parents are Puerto Rican. I always loved your recommendations because we have a similar skin tone.
I just noticed on Amazon that there are 2 different formulas. Have you tried both? If so, what's the texture difference? One is Mild Airy finish sun milk and the other is Mild Weightless light texture. They both sound thin? I just would love to know the difference. I just want something non greasy.
K-Beauty has my favorite skincare. I have a few favorites in makeup as well. Missha BB cream is also my favorite. One of my favorite mascaras is from Missha also. It's the Ultra Powerproof curl up long lash. It is true to its name. I get incredible length, but it isn't for the faint of heart. It stays put, and is a bear to take off.
Oh this was just the best. I'm so happy that you did this. I'm impressed with all the products. My daughter & I loved the spf; I forgot all abt that. Thank you for being here for us !
Yay! I love k beauty and so glad you love them too. Romand makes my favorite k beauty lip stains too. They have such beautiful colors, you cannot go wrong with any of them. Also Sunprise was one of the first k beauty sunscreens I tried years ago. Also 100% agree about the Missha BB cream. It never looks bad no matter how dry my skin is!
I tried the Numbuzin SPF in the green tube and really liked it. It made me curious about their other products. I look forward to your thoughts on the other products. I wonder, does the BB cream still have a pronounced scent? I loved the finish of it, but the scent was too much.
You read my mind Jen. I need a new toner and I appreciate the choices you mentioned! The Beauty of Joseon is great for me during the winter but as soon as the humidity rises, I need something lighter. I’ll try the Sunprise! Thanks.
yes, yes, yes, the toner anua is really good after a few uses really good, the sprya alba also good but you need the spray serum, the line numbuzim oh my......you will like it
Heading into summer, would you share your favorite SPFs? I know you mention some in a lot of videos, but I would love to see a full round up of favorites, especially for lips. Everything I try with SPF tastes awful and makes me nauseous.
K beauty is where it's at! I just loaded up on some new items to try. I LOVE the "345 relief cream" for when my skin is irritated or broken out. It really settles it quickly!!! (Not a fan of that D'alba spray at all)
I also have very dry skin. I have been using the d'Alba for a while now. My bottle is almost empty but I use it a little differently. I spray it on after makeup. I've been using the Missha BB cream for a long time too. I usually mix it with a slightly lighter foundation. It really is a wonderful BB cream that works so well on my dry skin. Thank you for the reviews.
I'm so happy to see this video!! I switched to K Beauty skincare over 5 years ago now, I am OBSESSED!!💛 I actually have or have used the skincare you used, except for that spf. I pretty much reach for my Innisfree daily sunscreen the most, it goes SO well under makeup.😊 I have tried a little bit of the korean branded makeup, not much though. Heimish has a really good cleansing balm too! Thanks so much for sharing!!💛
I find the misha bb cream, though its grayish on application as it oxidizes the gray goes away and the color is perfect. I love korean skincare/lip products the quality is very high for the price
You look absolutely gorgeous! The BB cream really works for you. Have similar colour so definitely trying this. And a couple of more products. Thank-you Jen. Have a lovely day. 😊
I have quite a few of these products. I love the Anua toner. I use it like you do right out of the shower to close up my pores. Another one for you to try is Secret Key galactomyces toner- it's fantastic. Also try the Anua heartleaf cleansing oil and the cleanser, too. You will LOVE them. I have that Missha bb cream. It's ok, but the scent is what kills me. It's overpowering.
