2020 and kd lang has become hopefully everything and more than she wanted to be. Maybe one day when she finds that muse again, she will write or sing us some more blues. kd is definately one of a kind. Think about it....Cher is great but pretty easy to immitate, so is Barbara Streisand and Adele, etc BUT kd lang.....I have never heard an imitation of kd.....can't be done. She is still loved by us all, men, women, gay, straight. It doesn't matter. Her talent, personality, the debth of her soul speaks to us. Keep sharing that amazing voice with us.
Radio made a massive mistake not playing k.d.’s music. I am revisiting her work, and discovering the absolute gems this intelligent, amazingly talented woman recorded, music I had never heard. Her songs are getting me through right now, like a balm for the soul. Her vocals are like therapy for me. It’s an abomination that her songs were not played as they should have been when released but thank goodness they exist for those of us who marvel at her brilliance. Those who deliberately alienated k.d. because of her honesty and truth are the losers.
