thank you for this video. i was so close of pulling the trigger for this tripod but it seems there is quality control issue with k&f. you saved my gear!

It's such a strange case. I've heard SO MANY issues that are virtually identical with this tripod. It's the ONLY K&F tripod I've ever used that's failed and I have two that use for my person work/recording almost daily with never a hiccup. I'm hoping maybe this was just a bad batch of epoxy or something. At any rate, yeah, something is/was definitely amiss with this model!

I just made a review on this tripod, and during my review one of the twist lock threads completely came off from the leg. Same thing that happened to you but in a different location. I really hope that K&F will fix this issue..

Ah yes I just watched your review. K&F sent me a replacement and I'm currently testing it. I also heard from another follower of mine on Instagram that they too had a leg fall off the tripod so it may just be the BA225 isn't the best. I'd like to also link to your review in my update video if that's ok?

@@AdamWelch Yeah, the glue didn't hold it together. I mean, I can fix it myself but I guess all the other legs are glued too so it's just a matter of time till they break too :(

I just received this same mode about an hour ago. Straight out of the box 2 legs came apart. One the Ferrell came out the other the thread collar glue released. Now I cannot get the leg back on where the Ferrell came out. Not very happy, I had high hopes for this tripod due to the weight and portability. I paid more from Amazon than ordering direct from K&F Concepts due to the return policy.

Counting myself, you're the fourth person who has apparently experienced this exact same problem. Of all the K&F tripods I've reviewed this is essentially the only model to present a serious problem. Which is a pity, because like you said it really is great lightweight tripod otherwise. I hope they get it sorted out because the amount of issues being reported truly is worrying . I hope you were able to get a replacement or a refund on it btw.

@@AdamWelch I paid more ordering through Amazon than ordering straight from K&F. To protect myself incase I had to return or exchange. I sent K&F and email but have not received a reply yet.

@@mikeroyer2536 Hopefully you'll hear something from K&F soon but yes, I would definitely send that back to Amazon. Thing is, at this point with all the reports of failure, it's difficult to even trust a replacement. Best of luck to you.

I was about to purchase a K&F, then watched reviews where they fell apart, with the ball head not holding. So I then purchased a Manfrotto instead. Remember, if you play it tight, you'll end up paying twice.

Interesting. Was there another K&F Concept tripod that you know of having similar issues? Incidentally I've recently had a falling out with K&F so I'm just curious.

I bought this BA225 tripod a few months ago after seeing an early review but I wished I hadn't. first of all I had issues with one leg working loose despite continual tightening, K&F service was pretty useless in terms of a fix. A few weeks ago the ball head fell off the centre column, again K&F were pretty useless. Now the small hook to hang a backpack off has fallen out as it was not fixed in securely during manufacture. so you can see I have lost all confidence in taking it out of the house now. Shame it was a good idea but a badly made tripod

Hey Peter, I saw your identical comment on the other video so I'll just reply here. It's difficult to keep track with all the people who have stated problems with this particular model. It truly does seem that this one has been plagued with problems like the one from the video. Which is strange, because I've actually never ran into any real construction issues from the five or six other K&F tripods I've reviewed over the years. Hopefully they can get you sorted out. They sent a replacement for my defective model right away but then again it was for a review. Best of luck!

@@AdamWelch Yes sorry about that, I've had such a hard time with the service department that I've given up with them. I thought it only fair to warn people about the faults with this tripod. Having paid for it I found it annoying that K&F have taken no responsibility for providing replacement parts free of any charge and that includes shipping

@@peterkennington1043 Yeah there's no excuse for that in my opinion, especially when you're quite literally the fifth or sixth person I've spoken with who has had nearly the exact same experience.
