HAPPY SUMMER! I just finished the last of my exams today, so I'm officially on break! To celebrate, I thought I'd post a summery cover that I've been saving for a while, now -- K.K. Bossa! :)
These English lyrics are adapted from the subtitles used in the subbed version of the Animal Crossing movie, but I worked with them to better fit my vision for the song and improve their flow. Hope you enjoy my take on this K.K. favorite of mine! ❀

+sceptile davis I think the 'cherry pie' is a metaphor for true friendship, but I could be wrong. It kind of explains why Margie wanted to move out because she and Ai weren't making cherry pies as much anymore.

Y'know what makes Animal Crossing a good game series? Its simplicity, laidback feeling, and it's just something you can play to just breathe and take a break from the world around you. This song captures that spirit very well, as well as the spirit of KK Slider (Totakeke) in general: somewhat mellow, but nice-spirited and pleasant as a whole and willing to spread that spirit to whoever wants to hear about it. Bravo once again, Adri. Bravo.

Ah, I love this song and I love your voice but there's something hissy in the back of your recording that REALLY does not jive with the instruments here. Normally it's totally fine, but here it's significantly rougher than normal. I've noticed some other people mentioning recording quality, and you've said that as a college student you don't have the money to upgrade your stuff (totally fair), but this seems to be a background noise issue with your microphone, which is a VERY easy fix. A simple "Remove Noise" on that hiss would make this so nice, and that's an effect you can do in Audacity, which is free, so it shouldn't be a cost issue. Love your stuff!

As an homage to the country the Bossa Nova music style comes from, Brazil. Me as brazilian decided to try out a portuguese version of the lyrics :) I’m no musical genius, but I tried: As ondas quebrando E meu coração, cantando Oh oh oh - o mar sem fim me traz a paz Tesouro descansa, na áreia quente que dança Abra a porta A chuva está aqui. New Horizons helped me find this song after I first listened to it years ago :) I’d never played animal crossing before and found this song and loved it. New Horizons is my first animal crossing game and as soon as I heard KK Bossa play on the radio I looked for the name and searched it up to find this beauty again after such a long time.

A few hours ago I watched an English Dub of the Animal Crossing Movie. The guy who voiced K.K. Slider sounded really good in my opinion, but you just blew my mind. You have an amazing voice! You sound just as good, pretty much better than artists of songs I hear on the radio. Again, amazing job!
