Kk bossa is actually the only kk song ever given lyrics, it was used in the anime.

My main "problem" with hypno k.k. is mainly the fact that it reminds me too much of new leaf's aika village haha

Stale Cupcakes is my absolute favorite Animal Crossing song. It's so peaceful and calming. I have it playing in my ACNH bedroom (the music box version). When my son was a baby (about 2021) I would sometimes play the Aircheck hour long loop in the room where he slept and he seemed to like it a lot.

Okay, Steep Hill got the appreciation it deserves. That's all I i needed to know.

KK robot synth is most definitely based around Vocaloid and Hatsune Miku. Even the cover gives homage to it.

I use K.K. Choral at the memorial area on my island. I dedicated my island to my cat since he passed away the day after I got my switch and a couple days before I got New Horizons. I go to that area to reflect or calm down, and that song with the waterfalls surrounding it really does something to me that I can't explain. That made me all the angrier (/lh, of course) when Kitty autofilled two days before I could amiibo Bertha in and she was playing that song in her house.

I'm a huge fan of all the Asian KK songs, so it was hilarious to see your reactions! And does anyone else think the cover of K.K. Robot Synth just screams "Vocaloid"? The blue hair just makes me think of Kaito. (Kaito K.K.? No?)

I have farewell playing on the pathway to a little memorial I made for my dog who passed, I thought it was fitting. Then at the memorial I Love You plays :) it's good for short thoughtful times. Some of my favorite KK songs are KK Ballad, Island, and Bossa! Steep Hill also goes so freaking hard.

24:37 the music is supposed to sound random, it's based on a brazilian genre of music called samba where you have to make quick leg movements to dance to it, as a brazilian i actually recognize biggening of the song as it's a part of one of the most popular samba songs!

Marathon's identity was one of the more surprising ones out there. It turns out to be based on a traditional type of Indonesian music called gamelan. Rally, Ondo. More traditional Japanese music; can't begrudge them it, really. I like to use K.K. Soul as the music for the apparel shop facility. I think K.K. Slider were your teacher, as the Japanese name is "Keke-sensei", "sensei" being a word encompassing a number of professions, but most universally known is "teacher". Note that the album art depicts the girls as wearing sailor uniforms, while the boys are in gakuran. If you've watched anime set in high school, especially a co-ed high school, you've seen both. Which is funny because you're mostly -- outside of a few bits of the list -- just serpentining your way down the list of songs as they appear in a full menu for a music player. If they were in writing order, maybe you could expect to see trends, but this is mostly four songs in alphabetical order, then four songs in reverse alphabetical order, next row forward, next row reverse, etc.. Stale Cupcakes is really "Blue Onigiri". It's like, what is this 4Kids-inspired localization, guys? There's nothing like a stale cupcake, I guess.

K.K Folk is an absolute banger! But I can understand why you ranked it low. And KK Dirge is pronounced “Durge” it’s basically an old style of music that was intended for Funerals. Really sorrowful and depressing.

When my friends would play new leaf we would randomly play pondering and we would all spam the pondering reaction and try to run out of the house at the same time That’s why k.k’s music is great, it creates memories!

K.K. Soul is my favorite song. But I think objectively, Steep Hill is the best one of all. It's a total masterpeace.

KK Bubblegum is overrated, HEAR ME OUT. Edit: I don't say I dislike the song, it's just that you just hear it pretty much EVERYWHERE in Animal Crossing. Also why'd you force your villagers to just sing it for thousands of hours? 🤷🏻‍♂️ There are so many songs that are so much better than Bubblegum.

22:15 Keke rally is supposed to be the song that is played at a Japanese festival (matsuri) where people dance along to. 29:20 It is a graduation song. The original title is “Keke sensei”=Teacher Keke and the cover art is of a class picture tacked onto a bulletin board.

Stale cupcakes was the first song I ever purchased on animal crossing and it was my favorite for so long. I was new to the game and I didn’t understand it was a song so it was sitting in my storage for so long until I realized it can be played on a speaker. I just got it for the silly name

"Chorinho" is pronounced with the CH sounding like SH, like in "shovel". Also, the NH part sounds like the GN part from "lasagna". Soulful K.K. didn't deserve a 2 though...

Mr. K.K IS a graduation song! the text under it on the cover reads "Keke Sensei" (Sensei being the word used to refer to your professors and teachers in japanese), and the characters surrounding him in the cover are all dressed in school uniforms. i think it's pretty cute! my favorite song is a tie between stale cupcakes and I Love You, they're both just so pretty to me! i also really love k.k synth's live version, and the music box version from new leaf was also very pretty

Hypno K.K. Is my favorite song. It sounds like that because it’s being played backwards. Normally a note has articulation at the beginning of it and ends much softer. Since hypno kk is backwards the articulation happens at the end of each note which gives it the creepy vibe.

Mr. KK probably sounds like a “graduation tune” because it’s supposed to be like KK as a teacher. That’s why the cover art is them in school uniforms. At least I’m assuming. I have no proof aside from the fact that it says KK Sensei on the lil pink strip on the album cover.

my favourite k.k. songs are as follows: agent k.k., k.k. aria, k.k. ballad, k.k. chorinho, k.k. hop, k.k. house, k.k. lament, k.k. waltz, steep hill and two days ago. out of all these, my all time faves (i can't pick out) are agent k.k., k.k. chorinho, k.k. hop, k.k. lament and two days ago. i LOVE how k.k. chorinho got the attention it deserved. out of all the new songs, it seems to be the most underrated one. it is SUCH. a banger. i love the guitar at the beginning, and then how they key changes (i am a SLUT for minor-to-major key changes, they hit some spot in my brain). i love the latin/spanish-inspired ones in general- k.k. mambo, k.k. samba, k.k. tango, k.k. flamenco, k.k. moody, k.k. milonga, k.k. condor, with exception of mariachi, i don't hate it, i just feel like they could've gotten a lot more creative with it. and k.k. samba gets bonus points for leaning in heavy on the cuíca- one if my favourite instruments.

Pronunciation notes: Dirge is “duhrj” Étude was pronounced pretty well Dear god what did you do to KK Jongara Hazure is Japanese for “miss” or “failure” and is pronounced “hah-zoo-rei”, and there’s 3 total it seems. Anyways I did want to mention that K.K. Robot Synth’s artwork says “Kekeroido” in Japanese which is probably a portmanteau of K.K. (Keke-) and “vocaloid” (-roido). Mr. K.K. actually IS a school related song, as the album depicts a school photo and the text says Keke-sensei.

KK space is probably my favorite so it hurt for it get a 5/10 lol. this is the one i usually have playing in my first room, sometimes even multiple rooms. I'm glad KK Ska got recognition tho because that's my other go to song to play.

I didn't agree with some of them, but then again, I always go for 10/10 even for things that are very average. Love the content!
