I'm Mexican American (Chicano), originally from Phoenix Arizona, and moved to El Monte Ca in 1974 . First of all ,I'm very sorry about what happened to Old G Turtle 🐢. I met Turtle in camp Afflerbaugh in La Verne Ca. I got to know him pretty well. We were doing time as juveniles back in 1977 . The way his sister and everyone how they talk good about him, that's exactly how I guess you can say how I knew him . He was a Kool dude 😎 . I remember the perm, then when we got to camp Afflerbaugh, they cut ✂️ it off ,but they would cut everybody's hair when you first got there . When I first heard Turtles 🐢 story and when he got killed in Lynnwood, I felt really bad about it and hurt because I remember him we were young . Rest in peace, my brother Old G Turtle Amen 🙏

Many times the kid who lash out and take to negative endeavors and lifestyles all stem from a lack of attention, affection, or scorned situations from a desired parent. Whether they tend to admit it or not. The absentee parent causes the child to redirect that lacking of love from positive to negative (cry for help). Which is why parenthood is extremely critical and vital for the child. One malfunction can alter things drastically.

I just found out my younger brothers family is Kin to Turtles father. His fathers family is from Shreveport,LA. They moved to New York City, then to Jersey. The Johnson’s and Alexander’s in Shreveport come from the same tree. It’s just the older children took on the Johnson Last name and the younger ones took on the Alexander last name. My little brothers dad and Turtle are first cousins. 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯it’s wild man cause they all favor. Not only that, Diane when she was younger looks just like my stepfathers sisters. Damn. Turtle was a legend. I remember hearing about him all the way in Santa Barbara from older cousins all the way up until I moved to different spots in LA and went to Carson high amongst other schools out there. For his name to travel all the way to SB when I was little is beyond just the normal gang member. There was something special about him.
