K-POP NEWBIE REACTS TO BTS For The FIRST TIME! | BTS (방탄소년단) 'Dynamite' Official MV REACTION 

Here's some background on Dynamite. BTS had a massive world tour planned for 2020 which had to be canceled due to the pandemic. It was going to be their last tour before taking their break to pursue solo activity and to start enlisting in the military (obviously plans had to change). To cheer fans up during such a difficult time they came across Dynamite. Initially they were going to change some of lyrics to Korean but ultimately decided the song was already good enough in English. It became BTS first fully English song and it was huge. It earned BTS their first Grammy nomination, their first number 1 song on the billboard hot 100 chart, and became the most viewed video on youtube in 24 hours with 101.1 million views (later this record was broke by BTS- Butter which got 108.2 million views). Dynamite also became the first song by a kpop act to reach a billion streams on Spotify. Some people have mixed reactions to Dynamite because it wasn't written/produced by BTS and because it's more generic pop compared to other songs by BTS, but I think it helped a lot of people during the pandemic. I sure know it put a smile on my face during that time.

Dynamite is one of 3 fully English song that bts did (which include Butter and Permission To Dance). They did these song during covid as a way to just make fans smile thruout such difficult time and I love them for this. Also I'm in love with the key change towards the end aswell Also I had this song playing on repeat non stop for a year after it was released as it was and still is just so good and catchy

This is the song that probably saved my life. A lot of terrible things were happening to me in the summer of 2020 - my life was falling apart so hard that I barely even noticed Covid happening at all. And then this song and the MV crossed my dash, I was plunged into the fandom and the ARMY and suddenly I had a reason to be happy again. I felt like seven beautiful Korean men had reached out to drag me out of the swamp I was stuck in and they *stayed with me*.

The song is an uplifting song with the purpose to bring some joy during the pandemic.

They're ALL my favorite!! It's like Lays potato chips, you can't have just one, 🙆 🙅

Although BTS doesn't have a single bad song, Dynamite is definitely far from one of my favorites, it's an amazing song with a vibe, but BTS has true works of art, like Magic Shop, 1!2!3! ... , love yourself, among many others with lyrics that look like (and are) poetry sung by angels. There is still so much for you to know, even for me, who already considers myself a root Army, to discover and learn from BTS, that when you start, dynamite becomes just a song made with the intention of putting them, even more , in the international market, especially in the USA itself... but I love it and I never get tired of listening to it... however, it doesn't compare to 500 other songs of theirs... lol

Have to say, I much prefer BTS before "Dynamite". But, the full English lyrics, and upbeat music brought a whole new audience. (This was written by the son of British Comedian Alan Stewart).

I’m a Dynamite Girl! ARMY since Aug 25, 2020 at approx 5:30PM EST. Saw this video, & I have never been the same. Just ask my family ~ they think I am crazy, but I do NOT CARE! BTS will forever be one of my fav groups. They are so talented and just fantastic human beings. Love ya BTS!!! 💜

Dynamite is feelgood fun, but is like BTSlite, it was an all English song released during the pandemic to cheer up a new set of American fans. Most BTS music has deeper lyrics and message and is often written by the guys. To get an idea of BTS range I recommend you watch Festa Room Live 2021, it is a medley of BTS Bsides from their past discography.

They are a fun group. They have feel good pop bangers like this but some really dark and hard hitting stuff as well. " Baepsae" touches on millennials generation getting screwed on older generations, corrupt political policies, and giant finance moguls manipulating things in Korea. Which a lot of countries have experienced. But it's definitely bad there.
