One of the most criminally underrated female artist and songwriter that wasn't even given a record contract till the age of 45 this great classic will never get old its timeless. R.I.P K.T 🙏
I way like me i became a criminal at ripe old age of 49 all cause of scott griffin ,he force in way he scared joyce, her poor daughter since i can remember has cause joyce and i pain in our ass ,scotty thief that he is only thing has saved his ass is being police chief every thing comes to a end, yours truely GODS SON!
Never understood the “Don’t kiss me like we’re married......kiss me like we’re lovers” when I was a kid, however, as an adult , I totally get it now...every bit of it...
I glad that you understand the difference between a married couple, when things begin to change as the marriage goes along.. Sad that becoming comfortable and in a lot of marriages passion becomes less important, and a quick peck seems to somehow be enough. 😓. The new relationship is filled with so much excitement, and being able to explore one another, and the passion is hot & heavy, Wow 😳😳😳!!! Don't kiss me like we're married 💔, kiss 💋 me like we're LOVERS....I LOVE THE WHOLE CONCEPT OF THIS SONG, when we truly are in love, we must always try and remember the early times, when we felt the passion and the feelings of " YOU ARE MY EVERYTHING!" I'm not asking you to feel my every waking moment with passion, but once in awhile we need to let that one true love know that the passion is still there! I want to "MAKE LOVE", not just two second SEX!! LMAO 🤣
Every syllable. Yes girl yes. My daughters name is Paige. She’s 23. She doesn’t appreciate this type of music. She says it’s okay but to her it’s “moms music”. She will understand in a couple more years.
I was 15 years old when I heard this woman's music. She took a hold of my heart in 1988. I am 46 and a half years old and her music still makes me feel the same way. She was bold and beautiful and talented. She was really great. On one hand I kind thought of her as a reincarnation of Patsy Cline. She was really great
Here in 2020, you passed away today! So sad! You were part of my childhood. 80 ladies was a special song for my childhood best friend! We both called each other when we heard the sad news. You will always live on! ♥️
Same. This was my favorite song to sing when I was in a band in Texas. Met her once....what a true lady ! The choir in heaven just got another beautiful voice. 😢😭😓😥
I met her one time, and it was at a family reunion. She is my great grandmother’s cousin so I am actually blood to her! I feel so sad that i didn’t get a picture. She recently passed away from COVID complications.
Everytime I hear this song I cry... I'm 50 yrs old & about 15 years ago my wife went through some hard times with 4 miscarriages in 3 yrs & it almost destroyed her. All we had was each other & God...but our faith was rattled to the core. But God never closes a door without opening another one. In 2006 my wife & I boarded a plane on our way to China...it's amazing that God knew there was a little girl halfway around the world that needed a mom & dad...& there was a couple in Mobile Alabama that would one day adopt a beautiful little China Doll. This little girl is now 13 yrs old & in 8th grade at mine & my wife's old high school here in Satsuma Alabama. She has a big family now...lots of cousins, uncles, aunts, & 2 sets of grandparents that love her more than she could ever imagine. She has lots of friends in our neighborhood who are constantly over here at our house & constantly conning me into grilling or cooking for them or taking them somewhere...AND I LOVE IT!!! This song just takes me back to a time...even though troubling...that is now a good place & it reminds me of how Sondra & I held on & made it thru the storm where God was waiting with open arms saying..."SEE I TOLD YOU I'D GIVE YOU THE DESIRES OF YOUR HEART...BUT IN MY TIME...NOT YOURS". You know...GOD DOES KNOW WHAT HE'S DOING & HE'S GOT IT ALL UNDER COMPLETE CONTROL... ALL WE NEED TO DO IS KEEP REMEMBERING THAT & THINGS ARE GOING TO OK SOON!!! Much love from Satsuma Alabama.

Yes he does. Without GOD we are nothing. Without GOD there is nothing. Thank you for sharing your story. Love that little girl. She is a gift from GOD.
I can't believe I stumbled across your comment. My husband and I have tried for a child for over 7 years. Multiple miscarriages. Been through surgery, pills, injections, and all the other ups and downs of fertility. In 3 days, we attend an infertility event and after this, we feel we will begin a journey to adopt. Thank you for sharing your experience and testimony to your faith. I take encouragement from reading this. Thank you.
I've been married for over 34 years some days I didn't want to be married and someday she didn't want to be married but thank the lord we never felt the same way on the same day you all give me some thumbs up I owe you veteran married people out there
My wife and myself saw her perform here in town. I don't remember who she opened for? But we loved her singing. We would ask where is KT.? We didn't know she has passed on..
She stopped recording and concerts after she had open heart surgery . Glad she made her best recordings before that happened . Man , I so miss her music 😎
This is one of the few songs that ever stopped me in my tracks. I was driving to North Carolina from Pennsylvania and I was about to drive beneath an underpass and the opening lyrics started. I had never heard anything so brutally honest and real.
Oh, I am so sad. KT was one of the most beautiful Ladies in the world. My wife looked so much like her. When my wife passed away two years ago, I would watch KT's videos to fully remind me of my wife. We just lost another amazing person. She is in the presence of the King, Lord Jesus.
Always loved her! Surely another female artist that did not get her due!! She was a great songwriter and a wonderful human being. RIP with that rock and heaven band. Heaven just received another gold platinum singer 🎤🎶🙏💔
How often is it that a song with such profound lyrics make you realize that this is where you're at in your relationship. I long for the days when there was affection to go with the love. 33 years of marriage and on an island
Two Grammy Awards for “Hold Me”: Female Country Vocal Performance and Best Country Song . Part of her three year consecutive nominations in both categories : the prior year for “80s Ladies” and the following year for “Come Next Monday”. We lost a great one two years ago. RIP KT
And just like that, 2020 sucks even more with your loss, KT. Songwriter with a voice. Singer with a penchant for writing songs. A country twang, unabashedly so. Sang and wrote stories, not just "hits." Godspeed.
Freaking classic!!!!!!! I was not even 10 years old when this came out. I would be a different person if it wasn't for music like this. ❤❤❤❤ Thank goodness for my Uncle Bill and my Gpa Sherrill for teaching me about real music. ❤
I’m so glad she got the award recognition she deserved 1988 CMA for Female Vocalist ending Reba’s 4 year reign 1988 CMA Song of the Year.
