K1 Fiancé Visa DENIED? Do this instead! 

I actually got married by proxy in Texas, 18+ years ago. It did cause some headaches and delays, but a letter from the judge who performed the marriage and a copy of the law that allowed it settled those. While ours worked, I would not recommend it. Yes, absolutely go there, get married, and actually see and kiss your new bride on the day of your marriage.

This is the EXACT situation my fiance and I are in now! We just came to the conclusion that we should've gotten married in the first place! Starting all over after waiting 2yrs already and now having to do everything all over again although we both know we want to spend the rest of our lives together.

Filed k1 visa Oct 2021, got interview May 2023. All the steps ruined. I think it was due to my ex wife was the one that filled in the documents and we added name saying she did. ( my hand writing is shit and wanted to make sure everything was neat and easy to read for no mistakes) I know some will find it strange that my ex would do it however things are not just black on white. I married her in 2008 because I was going to Iraq and my son was due to be born, as a infantry marine who will and did see combat I may not come home so wanted to make sure they would be set. Soon as I got back divorced in 2010. No bad blood,never was in a relationship so don’t hate each other good coparents,no need for child support and son is 14 almost 15 now in fact over years she has told me “pay less” because when I’m in states he is with me and as he is getting older needs less. I added that to show my point. Anyway after the denial I went to her country to marry her and reapply but she says she can’t do another 2 years long distance because she wants a normal relationship and expected me to stay in her country with her but I can’t so I decided maybe it’s best we break up so she can find a guy she didn’t need to leave her country and home for. I know she loved me and I loved her but sometimes love just not enough.

My fiance and I have been doing a lot of research on the K1 Visa but watching all these videos and what other people have gone through it seems easier that I just go to her country and get married over there and then we can apply for the cr1 Visa.

Hello Sir, Just want to ask a question. To summarize everything we filed k1 Visa and did the due process, after 6-7months of waiting we finally got to my fiancee's interview and the consul said her visa is approved. We waited close to a month and the CEAC status hasnt changed or touched by whoever updates that site and we had sent follow ups via call and email and all we got was "you just have to wait" then on a Monday my fiancee got a call and got scheduled for a second interview. So we both are frustrated and confused on why is this happening to us. I am currently serving in the USAF and this is what we get in return. Its very "unfair" like you said. I just wish how or why is this happening to us. Thank you in advance if you ever respond to this. (this was from the Philippines) Thank you.

My husband was detained for illegal entry it was his first time traveling to the US he had his valid passport and police record about 10 years ago now he just attended his green card interview and the immigration officer wrote back saying that he is ineligible due to 212 a 6 e ... Alien smuggling? My husband never knowingly abided anyone in any such crime... I am a US citizen we have two young children together we need help can anyone help us with this. something is not right here

You said to get a good lawyer but your example couple lost their case so I don't see the point of of a good lawyer

Can the accountant of the medical practice get my visa canceled. I made a payment mistake, and was confused about it but I did end up paying the outstanding amount I owed the practice. But the accountant of the practice accused me of being dishonest and she said she's going to report me to the embassy, even though I was not dishonest. Will this jeopardize my visa? 😢

What happens if you been in a relationship with her for three years.. she lives in Kenya I in us. I visited twice. Stayed for 6 weeks the the first time and 3 months this last, time. She was pregnant and lost the baby the day I arrived. I supported her through the pregnancy, we talk or text for hours every day. I send her money almost every week. She has the engagement ring on.. my plan is too get married there.. In a few months then go apply there for her visa with our marriage license.. Can’t you sue them? We had a lawyer tell us that is an option if the case is rejected.

My fiancé’s K1 was rejected because we had Nekha (muslim non official marriage ceremony). Officially we’re not married and we provided official civil records. Officer revoked the case and said apply for marriage visa. I contacted the embassy myself as petitioner and now the case is under Further Administrative Processing. What are our chances of still getting our K1 approved?
