It’s been 2 months now since my husband and I got reunited.I’m sure most people here would understand what I mean by being separated from your spouse for so long.He applied for the green card since 2019 because he lived in Germany and waited 3 years but didn’t get it until last year when I made research about it I was told there was a professional at the USCIS that could get it done and he got it in less than 3 weeks after I had to pay the service fee of $2000 to the whole process. And now it’s been the best few months of my life ☺️
Wow I’m happy for you I have been in the US couple of times, I got a non-immigrant green card some years back but now I want to switch to an immigrant green card and ever since I applied it’s been 2 years now and all they tell me whenever I give them a call is that they are done with 80% of the whole process so I don’t know why the 20% remaining is taking more time
¿Qué está pasando con el USCIS? Solicité la tarjeta verde recientemente, pero con lo que he escuchado de la gente, creo que necesitaría su ayuda para recomendarme al profesional que lo ayudó.
I submitted the 1-90 application for green card renewal in July 2020. Got my extension notice for 12 months. Did my biometrics in September 2021. My 12 month notice has already expired so now I am (like many others) in a bureaucratic limbo because my green card is expired, and my 12-month extension has expired too. I'm waiting for either the new green card or the 24-month extension to arrive in the mail, but so far nothing! I feel trapped! What should I do?
I have an expired green card. It already expired November of 2020. I've already applied for the renewal, and as of today I still haven't get my renewed green card. I got an extension letter for 12 months, and now 24 months. But as of November last year from November 2020 to that date it has been 24 months already. And I still haven't gotten my green card. How can I contact the professional who helped with yours?
7 years and we’re still waiting. Waiting 5 years now on removal of conditions. Waited so long my wife became eligible to file for citizenship, which is what we’re doing
Processing time should be a month and to make it that fast spend whatever money is necessary and get the immigrants to pay for it. They will be happy and we would have solved a decades old problem. This will also create jobs for thousands of Americans.
It's been 22 months since I-751 and the 24 month extension is about to expire... time to call to setup an appointment for another extension... This is getting ridiculous
I'm reading comments about guys crying because it takes six monts or two years. Men, i'm waiting for mine since 2016 and my father has been living in the U.S (he's a U.S citizen) for more than thirty years.
years or decades ago they would justified the increase in fees of the applications to make the uscis more efficient and hire more folks. It never happened.
I'm a US Citizen but I'm watching this video on behalf of my best friend who is waiting a green card on 2022 and is been 6 months already and is something we discussed here and there so I will also forward this video to him. Anyways your knowledge of the process makes common sense and logic so thank you for sharing your wonderful knowledge. 🌺
@Tiny Water Droplet - I turned in my green card in September 2020 because it has an incorrect name. it's May 2022 now and I still haven't received my green card yet. It's a horrible feeling because you can't do anything without a green card.
I have been in the process backlog for 12 years and put my adjudication around 20 months ago. There has been complete radio silence since 13 months. Literally nothing. the process is excruciating as I am unable to take any action or travel.
This info is so helpful. I also read My United States Immigration Story by Andrianee Ray and found that very helpful. The process is listed in a step by step format and you are shown copies of the documents used.
So the bad news is that it will take forever for my wife to get her green card, but the good news is that I don't want to be an American or live in the United States anymore anyway. ...I probably shouldn't say that in the interview (or to my wife).
My wife took her interview on nov, 2021 and she passed. They told her to wait 2 weeks to get her green card and stuff back. It is july, 2022 and still nothing yet.
hey jim why don't you use the mike on the immigration answers show? You sound much smoother and it might help some of your listeners who aren't english as a first language.
Hello and thanks for commenting. Unfortunately, they are still processing cases from 2015 for your category, so waiting is the only option at the moment. We completely understand the frustration. Hopefully the backlog reduces soon and your case moves forward.
My green card has an incorrect name. It's been 2 years and 5 months and I haven't received my green card yet. I called them one time and ask some questions and they told me my green card will deliver in 16 days but it turns out they lied because it's been months and it hasn't come.
$2000, if it meaningfully speeds up the process, seems reasonable to me. I would imagine that most of these fees will be paid by US Citizen/permanent resident sponsors anyway, instead of immigrants. As long as it doesn't slow things down for people who don't pay the extra fees, I really don't see the harm here.
But what about the differences between local field offices? My case is sitting on somebody’s desk since this February after we were called in for an interview (the last step of the process) And not moving at all since then. My husband and I talked to a lawyer feeling nervous if something went wrong, and she said that she has several clients waiting for 1 or 2 years after the last interview, especially in the Baltimore field office. That was kind of assuring because our case is not exceptional, but puts us into a uncertain situation wondering when we can travel again 😢
My best friend is 75 and has had a green card since 1950 (yes she should have become a citizen). Due to financial reasons she let her card expire in 2008. I helped her file and paid for the I-90 10 year renewal in January of 2022, she had her biometric appt March 2, 2022. At that time the processing time was 9 months. Now it is August 2023 and it says she can't even inquire until November 2023 - it was September 2022 originally. At this point, she has given up hope of getting it renewed. Her drivers license has expired and she can't get a license until her green card materializes. Her Italian passport also expired - yes she knows that is bad but again she had no money to renew it. Her social security is $800 a month. It just seems insane that this agency is still stuck in prehistoric technology in the year 2023.
i live in Brooklyn NY And i got told I would get mine in 60 days! it's been 80 + now and nothing happend haven't even recieved my "welcome Letter" yet i lost hope :( it's just the fact that i can't even get a Job to support my self it's crazy !
Thank you for your amazing video! I live in Florida. Filed CR6 485 & 130 in July 2021 and interviewed May 2022. Then endless waiting so far. Interview was clear and straight forward. At the end of interview, officer told us he needs to issue RFE since my lawyer did not submit evidence through the website so we just need to upload those when we go back home. Then we did it but so far no decision. I am staying in the US with F-1 and have EB3 case denied due to interview no show. I was concerned if the delay is due to the denier. The lawyers that i asked said the category of greencard is totally different and it should not affect current 485 in negative way. Do you think my previous denied case will affect to my current case in negative way?

Make sure that the documents are submitted, not just uploaded. It’s a different status!!! There is a non intuitive way to submit, some kind of a button.
The fee for premium processing is going to be 6,7,8k? that's a crazy amount to pay!....When will this act be applicable, next year? thanks for the video very informative

Well, if they have the money to pay USCIS to speed up the process then why not? In my country, Americans and whoever else wants citizenship / passport can go thru a program called 'CIP - Citizenship by Investment' and get their Passports and Citizenship certificates in about 3 months. The only thing that is required to activate it, is that passport holders must travel to the country, get their passports stamped, and take the Oath of Allegiance. From there, they are required every year or other year, I think... to spend at least a week here.

Im still waiting for my GC. I got denied 3 times already. Now im waiting for interview again but in my home country (im I-601 waiver now). Its been 197 days since my lawyer filed the docs. Im stressed about this situation and spend lots of money for lawyers. My boss wanted to fire me twice because of my situation of not being able to leave the country. I dont have EAD as it expired 4 yrs ago. Its so unfair for people didnt come illegal to this country but those who enter here illegally, the process of their papers is even faster. 😪
You have a long road ahead of you, my friend. My wife and i applied for her GC in 2015. In 2 years she got her first GC with conditions. That GC expires after 2 years and you have to petition for removal of conditions which will then turn into the 10 year GC. We waited 5 years and still no update on removal of conditions. Waited so long that she became eligible to apply for citizenship before she even got her 10 year GC. She is in the process of citizenship now which should be a lot faster. We’ll never know how long the 10year GC was going to take. And we’re both 35 and look like a normal couple. Went on interviews, requests for more documentation, etc.
@@B-Killin i am in the same situation! But i wasnt sure if i can apply for citizenship withouth having received my 10 GC yet, i havent been interviewed yet either and they did my biometrics on march 2021, was your wife abke to get the citizenship without having received the 10 year gc? 🙏🙏
You got lucky. My wife got first green card with conditions in 2 years. At the 7 year mark, she still was waiting for removal of conditions. She started citizenship process December 2021 and we’re still waiting for appointment which the update says should be in 6 months from now. 5 years of waiting for removal of conditions. We’ll never know how long it was going to really take since she started naturalization process
I think paying an extra cost to express your greencard would be great because the good would out way the bad, as in, that extra cash would help to hire a lot more workers with a few of them just strictly dealing with express, i think this would strongly benefit persons who are not in the express line as well by speeding up your turn in line, remember here, this extra cash could hire a whole lot more workers to tackle this massive backlog, I would strongly recommend this move.
They already raised the fees for most of the applications. They almost doubled all of them. It seems to me they just need to hire more people. Ironically processing times under Trump were so much shorter than they are under Biden. Let's hope that the current administration finds a way to resolve this soon.
I’m American born applied for a visa for my wife in 2019. I’ve had two kids since and still no sign on us getting a visa to enter the USA while living in a foreign land for 3 years until we can enter 😢
I became a resident November 2021 and i got my green card but it had a problem, instead of saying “Ml they put F, so i sent it back and its almost a year and they haven’t returned it with the right gender. It’s frustrating

I just got engaged 💍 to the most beautiful woman on this entire planet. Never did I think that immigration for her would be so complex or delayed. I am a US citizen my love is from uganda. This government needs to work for me. Fucking politicians need to get to fucking work and accelerate this backlog. I am furious enough to consider running for congress myself. God damn!
So it's a 2 tier system.. One for the rich and one for everyone else. I feel like this will extend the back log further for everyone else that can't afford it because of all the people cutting the line
It kind-of already is. You have investment green cards which require a minimum investment of $500,000 or more into the US economy. Plus, out of two people with “weak” cases, the person with more money can hire an attorney, while the one without, can’t. Personally, My wife came in on a K1. We have been waiting for 7 months. She hasn’t even gotten her work permit. If I had the option of paying them $2,000 so that we could have our interview within the month, I wouldn’t write that check without any hesitation. To me it is worth it. Whether or not it’s worth it to you, is up to you.
Jim, do you happen to be able to tell what’s going on in the SSA also? I entered the country on an immigrant visa in early February, got my green card a month and two weeks later and I thought that was long enough. But the social security card is taking even longer - I have not heard a thing from them and, despite having made more then 50 phone calls, I still don’t know what is up because different call gives different answer about the status of my card…
I went my interview may 12th 2022 (family based)and the officer said i approved your case and you’ll receive your green card in 2-3 weeks but I’m still waiting for my approval it’s been 13 months since my interview and I don’t know what to do.

Hello Sir.. my brother in law is here for 3 months now and he haven't received his green card untl now .what will happen if he goes home with out his green card yet.
My husband and step daughter applied 2 years ago. Step daughter had hers within a year. Husband still waiting. The response from USCIS was that they process them in order and his is in line. So if the applied within 2 months of each others where is his?

Follow the steps below to get your USA green card stress free; 1. Check my username 2. Message them directly 3. Lay your complaint and wait for their response
What about the renewal process for Green Card? I am waiting for a year now and still haven't received response. What is the "normal" processing time now?
My wife's is already 11 months waiting on her renewal card , everytime we check on status it keeps saying that they checking on it and that there is nothing outstanding, whatever that means if they need anything else will let us know, very slow process.
I feel you. 5 years my wife has been waiting on removal of conditions. Your wife will still be able to work at her job, because she still has status, its just a process of change of status. Now traveling outside of the country and coming back during status change may be tricky and not worth the risk…. My wife is waiting so long she became eligible to apply for citizenship, which is what we’re doing now. They stop your green card process when you do this, but should be an 18 month process for naturalization

My mom might not be able to be covered by my dad's health insurance because she has been waiting 15 months for her renewal card for permanent residency!
How long does it take for millionaires to get their GC? I read an article that the rich and famous get through quicker which is wrong on so many levels
