Tip from one of the K1 visa filer who just finished her visa interview at the US embassy manila. Interview date: Oct. 7, 2021... 1. Separate your DS-160 confirmation bar code page and slip it inside your passport already. The stern guards and the barking ladies will ask you to do that outside the tent in the embassy. 2. Do not bring the CD from St Lukes Medical. You will be asked to bring it outside again and you pay P 100 to the cigarette vendor ladies outside. Remember, no gadgets, no electronics, no cellphones, no fitbits, no apple watches. 3. Separate already your Pre-screening documents from your Proof of Relationship documents. The Filipina consuls will ask for the pre-screening docs. You know what the pre-screening docs are. 4. Try not to panic and organize your file case holder. I held with me the accordion type and in my nervousness, it fell on the floor and my papers scattered while waiting for the pre-screener to call my name. Please, compose yourselves. ;) 5. Do not wear heels. Wear comfortable shoes and if you wanna elevate your height, you can wear wedges. I made a mistake of wearing killer heels and it is no joke to stand outside the embassy for one hour before we were all called to walk-in. I literally cannot walk on the footbridge to our car. 6. Be there at least one hour before your interview. The people there do not care what you wear from the waist down. It is all from the waist up. Do not overkill and hard sell yourself with your outfit. :) Pray, breathe and no matter what, SMILE and be respectful to the consuls. YOU GOT THIS 2019 FILERS!!!! And the expedited 2020 and 2021 filers. It is our time now, waiting for 2-2.5 years is no joke.

Those are great information about K1 visa. Great sharing of information sissy. My visa is spousal so they did not ask me so many questions as long as I have all the papers that they need it. Thanks for the great info. Stay safe out there .

I wish they would have asked me more questions. All they asked was when my now-husband had proposed and what the longest time I had spent in the US was. Then my visa was approved.
Hello everyone. We will be assembling everything in our i-129f packet and will mail it soon. If you have tips and advises I will be more than happy to have it. Questions po: 1) how should we arrange the packet? 2) should we put it in a folder, envelope, plastic portfolio? 3) for mail box or envelope from post office 4) with my research all over youtube, facebook and online forums, some say its okay if its scanned copy, some say no, so just included almost more what they asked like, a copy of mine and f's birth cert, a copy of my nbi, a copy of my cenomar, both our intent letters, both supplemental letters, we even sent out proof of relationship in 20 pages just to show that we really are together until now (3 years). My friend told me the more the merrier, so that no more further questioning in the consul. Are we going to be in trouble for having to send too many? Thank you po!

Hello Rocky, that I really don't know. It was not specified in the executive order about the k1 visa. There are also immigration lawyers saying it is not included and some are saying it is included so I really have no idea as of now.

My family member is trying to marry a women he met online. They only met around May of 2020. He has not been to her country and he is 17 years her senior. Should he bother putting the application? It’s an expensive application. I thought you at least had to know the person for 2 years and visit them at least twice during that time . If you can please give your advice . I was told that they can waiver the visiting part for certain situations?

It was asking if I do or do you not intend to make a specific contribution to the support of the person(s) named in Part 2. Question: Do I intend it? Sorry I know it's a simple question but I get a little confused. Also, for the interview, when your fiancé was asked if she/he wants to work in the US when she/he gets here, does the person say YES or NO? Hello madam First of all thank you for making life easier for millions of people like me and second I had a question, I had my fiancé interview on 25.11.2020 and they said to me that I needed to send them some more proofs and also delivery confirmation page but they returned my passport back to me and kept all my other documents that I had provided them! So now I am really worried what will happen but they said that they will reply to me through email address! You have to go to the us embassy website and check on the required documents you need to bring during your interview and the same thing with your medical clinic were you want to take the medical test. Do not wait on them just do your own reseach and prepare all the documents
