Thank you so much for your video 🙏🏽🙏🏽 my fiancé and i started our application a week ago !! how long did it took y’all to have your petition approved ?
Me and my fiancee are getting ready to do this process she is in the UK and me an American in USA. Can she still travel here to see me while we wait for approval also I have a criminal record but no windows stuff that bans us. Is an attorney best for me to navigate that or is it not a worry because she is the one applying for status to come here. Your video is so awsome and informative. My fiancee Sent me the link. Thank you
Wow! This video is so underrated, i really would've expected this to have thousands of likes with how professional and easy to understand you made this! After weeks of researching, this video managed to easily help me more than anything. Thank you!
My fiance' and I are currently in the midst of the K1 Visa process! I have watched MANY K1 videos on RU-vid to learn, confirm, and reaffirm what to expect. THIS IS TRULY WONDERFUL...and I can say THE BEST! Thank you so much! Your ability to share information and make it palatable is amazing! PS: SO HAPPY to report that we just got approved!!!! 🥰 I know there is still SO MUCH more to do before travel to the USA and a wedding happens, but we're on the pathway! Really appreciate your help and guidance!
@@lillucky4967 I was informed that the quickest processing facility is Nebraska (average time 5 months) and the longest processing facility is California (10 to 15 months.) When you mail in your application you have no control over where they will send your application packet. Of course, I was hoping for Nebraska, LOL Having watched MANY K1 application videos, I decided to send "everything" I had and could think of to prove the authenticity of our relationship, which was definitely more than the USCIS website seemed to require. I felt like if I gave them all I could, they might not need anything additional to approve the application. As the universe would have it, my application was sent to "California!" So, I readied myself for the long "at least a year" wait for a reply. To my utter amazement, my application was approved in "56" days! Perhaps the K1 gods were looking out for me! ...but of course, I am extremely grateful! My experience may be unique, but I am anxiously awaiting the next steps so we can prepare for a successful interview and begin writing the next chapter of our lives.
@@zahmusankofa5456 that's great to hear thank you. My girlfriend is from the Philippines and we've waiting 4 years to be able to start the visa process so we were both crushed when he saw it could take minimum 15 months
I think so, too. I have read so many documents from my country and the US, but overall it is all so very confusing and we had no clue about the G11smth that gives you e-mail updates... I wish we had known. It was never mentioned anywhere. I am so glad I found this channel and video. This helped me feel a bit less stressed.
I am working on my application now. This is sorry helpful, I was dreading doing it myself. But getting a lawyer is way too expensive at the moment. This is so helpful
You can do it yourself. I did it. Submitted it in December of 2023 and was approved in just 4 months. Now I am waiting to hear from the National Visa Center.
Good evening. On August 13, 2024, I sent an e-mail to the NVC requesting our case number, using almost the exact same language you suggested and in less that 48 hours, we received it via email. Thank you so much for everything you do to help others.
This is the clearest guide ive watched for a long time. As a current uk Beneficiary, I believe that a UK ACOS police certificate UK 'copy' has to be included in K1 folder and then ACOS updated closer to the visa interview in London embassy, approx 14 months later (or however long it will take) So it will be 2 purchases of this ACOS document. But I might be wrong!!!!! 🇬🇧❤️🇺🇸
So glad it was helpful. We wish we had someone who could guide us through the process hence why we decided to document it and make a video on the process : )
This video and the one you made on the I-129f form have been so reassuring for me. These were the most relatable and usable presentations I have come across and I have been researching this for months. Thank you!
My Word people like you amaze me and I am so glad wonderful souls like yours exist in this world. What a fantastic video that you absolutely did not NEED to make but I know has helped so many people and is currently helping me and my Fiance. Thank you so much for thinking to do this, it means the world to so many.
Thank you for making this so clear. I just got the NOA 1 today and we are super excited. God bless you for sharing the correct information. I agree with the other comments, you should have way more subscribers.
@S.Y_K1VisaJourney you said the first step has sped up, is this case true for Iranians too? Also how come the average wait time even for Nebraska is 8 months still if it's 3 overall?
I’m downloading this video. I’m saving it. I’m bookmarking it. This is the best video i’ve ever seen explaining this information thank you for putting the work into this!
Amazing step by step video and support. Thank you. It is March 29th and I just mailed my I-129F. I am praying it goes smooth. Thank you again for your video.
Thank you so much for sharing all these. I had watched many k1 visa processing youtube channels and yours is the most thorough, concise, and easy to follow.
Thank you for this video, and congratulations! My fiancé is also from the UK and we're in that period between NOA1 and NOA2. Your tips on things to do during this time were super welcome - having something to be proactive about right now makes the wait a little less unbearable!
Im from England! And my fiance is from michigan we are just watching your videos so we can start the visa process! Thank u for all this help as we were going to go to a lawyer !
Thank you sooo much for creating these! I was feeling so stressed about this process with my partner and now I am feeling more hopeful than ever. You really are the best!
and my fiance, in the Dominican Republic, just told me today how stressed she felt yesterday. The email I received says she has to make 2 appointments at the VAC AFTER she registers and creates a profile. She doesn't want to make any errors to prolong our case, and I am doing all I can do to help. I am researching and watching youtube videos everyday trying to give her more comfort in the process. I am always open to suggestions/answers. Our lawyer is currently working on the DS-160. I don't see how it wold take him over a week to fill it all out when he has all the information required. I gave him all the info for the I-134 too.
This video is amazing!. I have my medical on Monday and interview at the end of the month. I don't feel ready at all, we used the company rapid visa to help us with the process and its been a shambles from day 1. Now its time for my interview and I'm scrambling to get all the correct information from them, that I need to take. Had no idea that I needed to bring so much paperwork with me.
I'm so sorry to hear! Yes, a lot of paperwork is needed but some aspects are country specific. We tried to include the items that we took and a broader range just incase it might be needed for others too. Of course at your medical they may not need certain items.. but there is a set requirement of vaccinations you must have to immigrate on the K1 and also for adjustment of status
This is great information. Ultimately though once anyone gets to NOA2 and NVC, they must follow what their embassy guidelines are. Some countries cannot pay the DS-160 online nor can they schedule online. Again great resource but it’s ultimately the filers responsibility to do due diligence on what their country requires.
@@One-12937 actually it’s not. I could not pay online, I could not schedule my interview online, I had to get extra paperwork from the religious court for my country, scheduling medical was different and more. As I said, this was a very thorough video, but everyone has to follow their embassy instructions once they get to that step. There was nothing negative about this comment, it’s just adding the disclaimer as it’s shown through the comments advice that scheduling and paying online is possible, when most countries that’s not the case. Yes the process is essentially the same from the start, but after NVC to Embassy, it’s different.
Thank you for this video! My k1 interview is in a couple days and i am so nervous!! Thankfully, I am making sure I have everything you have listed :) fingers crossed!
Actually your video is amazing and really helpful to avoid thousands of lawyer's fees......there is no way to fear as long as you really intend to marry your loved ones ...Thank you ...
Thank you so much for making this process so much easier. I was able to send my packet feeling confident. Thanks again for making so many videos explaining everything there is to know about the process. 😊
My fiance and I still have have a long way yet. But I hired a immigration attorney for that Thank you for all the step by step process. Now I just need fiance to stay calm.
Hello! I finally received my K1 Visa!!! I will travel to the US next week! I was wondering how you were doing and if you have already started the adjustment of status process. I have all the docs ready for the next process and, honestly, the K1 Visa process seems more difficult (maybe because I will be with my future husband and it won't be as draining). I hope you are happy!
YAY! We have already filed for adjustment of status and had our biometrics appointment today. Now we're just waiting for USCIS to issue us a green card :)
Great video, but the tip about Hep B vaccine isn't accurate. from USCIS Q. Certain vaccine series can only be completed with multiple visits to the civil surgeon. Am I required to complete the entire series before the civil surgeon can sign the Form I-693? A. You are only required to receive a single dose of each vaccine when you visit the civil surgeon. You are encouraged to follow up with your private health care provider to complete the series. Once you have received the single dose appropriate at the time, the civil surgeon can sign and certify the Form I-693. The COVID-19 vaccine is the exception to this requirement. You must complete the COVID-19 vaccine primary series (for example, 1 or 2 doses, depending on which vaccine, in adults; 2 or 3 doses, depending on age and which vaccine, in children) and provide documentation of vaccination to the civil surgeon in person before completion of the medical examination. For more information about the COVID-19 vaccination requirement see the CDC Technical Instructions. l Instructions.
Hello again my friend! So we're confused about all of the passport photos that they are asking for. The USCIS required 2 passport pics each, for the I-129 packet, so we did that. Now, we're working on the "Embassy Interview Packet" and they are asking for 2 more passport pics of my Beneficiary, so we went and took two more pics of her. Now, I'm looking at the "Medical Exam Checklist" and they want 4 more passport pics! Do the last 4 need to be different from the last 2 we took for the Embassy packet? What are they doing with all of these passport pics? lol Does my beneficiary need to go get 4 more NEW pics taken? Gosh this is confusing. Thank you for your help. We wouldn't be this far without your videos! And we feel like we know you : )
THIS IS THE MOST HELPFUL RU-vid VIDEO EVER CREATED. Thank you. My fiancé and I just received the NOA2. We are wondering what the expiration date means on the form?
It means that for applicants who had applied before we posted this video were waiting around 9-11 months. But if you apply today for example, you may only need to wait between 4-6 months for your case to be processed & approved.
Actually I do have a question and it’s a bit frightening for me but I will ask anyway. My fiancé is from Ivory Coast but he came to Morocco to work however he did not obtain a legal status in Morocco and he has been here for about 7 years now . I just came to see him for the first time and I’m sure I will need to show evidence of that while applying , however my question is will that be an issue while applying for the K1 visa?.
I'm probably not the right person to ask as I'm not a legal expert, so it may be worthwhile consulting with one. However, my advice would to just be honest when filling out the forms. The forms don't specifically ask for proof of employment or status. All they're asking for is that you've met the requirements for the I-129f petition - and that you're in a genuine relationship who are willing to marry each other in the USA
Hi, this video is so helpful! Thank you so much. Just wanted to clarify the ff also: 1. We missed out to write our names on our 2x2 photos submitted. Is that ok? 2. Will both petitioner and beneficiary receives notification on the status of the application via email/mail even if we did nit include the g-145? Thank you!
this is so helpful and thorough - thank you! just a quick question as we’re in the same boat, I lived in the US for a year and am seeing conflicting information about needing a US police certificate (some say it’s not necessary as they’re already doing their own background checks) - did you need this and did you acquire this through the FBI website or an in-person visit? Thank you so much!💕
Thank you! You actually don't need an FBI /US police certificate... for any other country yes... but not the US.... sorry... we got ours just incase but didn't actually need it :) Hope that clarifies things a bit :)
I LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS VIDEO!! Thank you so much for all of that valuable info. I do have a question: what kind of proof of wedding planning did you submit? There’s but so much one can plan for a wedding when you have zero idea when it’s happening. 😭
Thank you so much!! 🫶🏻 We didn't submit any proof of wedding planning. But if you are going to, then you can always add a receipt of a wedding dress purchased, a template of the wedding invitation you intend to use etc. Anything that shows that you are planning on getting married.. or anything that conveys a genuine relationship.
This has been a pretty good overview video for me. Thanks for putting in all this effort. We're still waiting on our petition, but it looks like they're processing the cases from last March-May right now, so... as soon as next month I could hear something! So much to prepare. Seems like it's going to be a lot of running around from here on out, and a lot lot lot more paperwork (and money.) Something logistically I've been curious about... Often times, a lot of these documents require signature of both petitioner and beneficiary... except when you're base of operations is in different countries it can be a bit of a mess to do all this. It's been exhausting travelling many thousands of miles back and forth to see my fiancé, so I'm looking forward to this process being completed, but I'm wondering how others work through that issue. Finally, if you could update the comments of this video to include some of the helpful links you mention, it would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thank you! I'm no expert but we did everything in person similarly to you. If we weren't able to we would have just signed documents and then scanned & emailed any paperwork to each other.. or just mailed documents by postal service.
I’ve been flying a lot back and forth between Mexico. Shipping documents between here and there is shockingly expensive and the mail service is painfully slow here. Mail takes 6-8 weeks. If I want to use DHL or FedEx, it’s about $70 each way just to send a standard 8.5x11 letter pack. I started the paperwork together with him, flew back to the states to mail it on my next trip. Passport photo sizes, too, I struggled with getting the right size in Mexico, so we just did our own photos on a blank white wall and I had them cropped and printed at CVS stateside. They sure don’t make this process easy, nor cheap!
Out of everything that I've tried to search online I truly believe that this video has honestly helped so much and am looking forward to starting the process with my significant other so i can finally be with him in the states permanently ! Thank you so much for going out of your way to explain the whole process and a less complicated way ! I do however have one question regarding the end of the video, I know that after you get married I'll want to start applying for my adjustment of status/green card whatever you wanna call it, but would i have to fly back to Canada and wait until it's approved or would i stay in the United States ? Oooor does that depend on the time left on the K1 Visa ?
Wow thank you so much!! ☺️ once you're married and file for adjustment of status you cannot leave the US 🇺🇸 until it's approved... so you don't need to go back to Canada
Your video is great! I do have a question, my fiance and I received the K1-FTP on March 12. We paid all our fees on line by March 28 and the status is READY. We are using a lawyer for the k1 visa. Our lawyer told us we have to wait for the welcome letter from the usa embassy in Sydney. My question to you is how long is this process before I should expect the welcome letter? I understand it all depends on the us embassy and the queue for open spots for interviews. I know the medical comes first. So, can you give me an estimated time I should expect the letter from the embassy? Is it 2 months or 3 months or could be longer? Ty again 17:01 for your amazing video! 17:32 18:05
Thank you so much for recommending Track My Visa Now! I signed up for it and it worked beautifully. They even alerted me via email that my fiance's visa approved! Lots of great info in your video and I'm using it as guide for what to expect and do next in the process. Thank you!!
Thank you so much, God bless you both. So I don't understand where u said to file the form. The top said dallas lockbox but you circled Louisville address. Do I send it to the one You circled?
Thank you so much for subscribing. We love sharing any information we've learned & experienced as we were misguided so much by lawyers when we started the process. So I'm glad we can help!
Hello! First, I need to say: Awesome video. It’s concise and really helpful to everyone on this K1 journey. I have a specific question and I’m not sure if you’ll be able to help, but let’s try. My fiancé is American, but she has been living outside the US since she was a child. We met here in Brazil, where we have been living together for the past two years. We are now planning to move to the US and start building our family. From what I understand, she would need to be living in the US to apply for the K1 visa. Do you know if there is a way she can continue living in Brazil while we wait for the K1 process to unfold?
440 subscribers come in you should have thousands,I just subscribed,if some blogger could get 23k in one year talking about boom boom and sizes then you should surpass that
Hi! Question about the police clearance. I think I heard you say in another video that the beneficiary had lived more than 6 months in the US too and therefore had to claim records from there. What website did you use use? How do I know I’m using one that’s legit? Thank you for these videos, they’re so helpful!!! 🥰
Your videos are so informative and thank you for the correct informations Got Approved from USCIS and waiting for NOA-2. How long does it take normally?
Thank you for your precise and thorough explanation. Quick question: when does the biometrics come in? I have seen others mention a fee for it, but I could not find where in the k1 Visa process I am supposed to schedule it. Is it the same thing as the interview of the beneficiary? Appreciate your help.
Hello, I am a little confused on how to pay for the DS-160 form. We have our case "ready" at NVC and have now filed for the DS-160 form, but I am not seeing an option to pay for it online. where did you go to pay for it?
I would be so lost without you. Thank you so much!!! ❤ One question, would it be acceptable to handwrite date/place of the photos at the back of each photos?
Thank you!! I would personally write the date & place on the front of the photo rather than the back. However, I'm not an expert on the way they do things.. all I know is that on their website they mention that they scan documents into their system - so ideally you want to make things easier for them so all the information is accurately recorded.
Great video! Our application is ready, but what happened to large notebook of proof we sent with initial 129F ? We need to make another & bring to interview? Or they send it back? Thank you
Hi congrats!! They won't send your application back. You don't need the original I-129F petition again, but for your visa interview I would suggest bringing further proof of your ongoing relationship as well as updated letters of intent to marry.
I have watched all your videos great job. Would be great if you could upload a video step by step form ds-160 thank you so much just mailed my i-129 last week.
Thank you so much for the K-1 visa process from beginning to end. This is the best video and easy to follow. I do have a question. To obtain a case number, we have to complete Form DS-160? Case number is provide on confirmation page.
Thank you so much! You don't need a case number to complete the DS-160 as such.. the form doesn't ask for it.. but you'll need a case number for your appointment. Here's a tutorial for the DS-160 if it helps ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UCvs-2VbqWM.htmlsi=A3YJcdlxFhzsO0pd
