this is a great video! i+I've been doing some research and alot of guys say you should run ptfe for the feed line due to higher pressure and heat. some guys say the rubber under the ss braid can get soft like a noodle. im curious how this is holding up for you.
Certainly no harm in running PTFE lines. I did have to reroute the lines after making this video. I changed turbo manifolds, and the turbo placement is different. The CPE lines I used have been holding up so far.

Hey thanks for your question! Hope that all this makes sense. The coolant returns from the radiator into the backside of the water pump, and the pump moves the coolant through the engine. This port on the front of the water pump is intended to bring a secondary coolant line into the water pump to be pushed (by the water pump) back through the engine. The K20A2 (that this exact pump was pulled from) and the K20Z3 both have an oil cooler sandwich plate from the factory that utilizes the same supply port that I'm using (on the passenger side of the block) and this is the factory return for that system. Just adapted to the K24A2.
Should be able to. Only thing is that the return line back to the timing chain cover would be longer than if you had a -10AN line tapped into the fuel pan. Shouldn’t be a problem though. 👍🏼
@@Rk-bh4xn Doing the coolant lines this way should be fine, but there may be a better way to route them with a sidewinder. Don’t know much about SW manifold setups, but I feel like there’s probably pre-made oil/coolant line kits out there.
is it okay to run PTFE for the oil and turbo coolant I know it's not necessary but I have it and it would be very convenient to use all the same style lines and fittings
Yeah PTFE hoses and fittings should be no problem. They are capable of a higher working pressure, and even more chemically resistant as in ethanol (E85) situations, so if anything they might be a bit overkill. Just make sure that you are using both PTFE hoses as well as PTFE fittings because the CPE type fittings I'm using are not compatible with PTFE hose. Cheers!

@@carbonspeed1050 the oil return to the engine that I’m using is made by ProSeries Fabrication, and it is specific to the Skunk2 Timing cover. I found them on EBay. It’s a really nice billet Aluminum piece. You can also find them at JasonWatersTuning.com. If you are running a standard timing cover then search “K24 Timing Cover Oil Return” and you’ll find loads of different brands that make them.
