Damn bro I been thinking of doing a swap but I would have to find myself a good shop first cuz I really don’t want to do all that work myself in my front lot 🤣
I did mine in the back yard. Built the block in the kitchen and used a set of hand trucks to bring it out lmao definitely sucked balls hopefully u found a shop. I feel ya dawg!
Hell yea bro glad to see you back and running , hmu I’ve been making tons of progress only thing is doing it myself it’s not so bad I would I’m 70% done can’t wait
Should of done the Type S oil pump and 50-degree VTC while the motor is out. I also would of done the timing chain, tensioner and guides. It's not a Honda if you can't do at least 8k rips.
Not gonna potentially sacrifice reliability of such a low mileage motor for a few horsepower. The motor will be getting boosted eventually. The motor can be pulled in 2 hours so it’s not a big deal to do any of those things down the road if I feel like it
@@staticspeedtuning You have a mystery motor and no matter what are taking the word that it's low milage and that they were kind well taken care of miles. VTC is a known fail point, just Google it with 8th gens. Everything I mentioned literally improves reliability, performance benefits are a side effect. Unless your arguement is that you would improperly installed the stuff or something. These were literally the first thing I did for my k24a2 in my eg hatch, thing runs like brand new.
Hey I saw that you went to jdm express to buy the motor, I bought my k24 from them yesterday, I got the k24A RBB-4 is there a difference from the rbb-3 and the rbb-4 ?
@@K20Val Can’t talk about that but let’s just say no one on the planet would do it for the price these guys did. Can’t thank them enough so you either have to know someone or pay about $2,200 for a random shop to do it
@@staticspeedtuning dang .. I know u know the 50 makes more but really I mean looked about the same. That's impressive. Quick plain and simple, effective... Other then the known issues with chain/tensioner I bet it don't get much more reliable than that
Give them a call, ask for Edwin, tell them Staticspeed sent you and ask how many they have in stock and pricing (407) 657-0040 you can either pick it up yourself or I believe they can give you a shipping quote
