This Civic Si is from Canada for a K24 swap.
Esther pulling the ecu on a Hot day in the storage unit
• HOW TO K-PRO Civic EP3...
We kept the OEM feel, OEM clutch, 3" Quite exhaust with twin loop muffler and dual tips.
Of course AC, Heat, Power steering. It all works !
We used a JDM K24a2, we tuned it on 91 Octane as it's the standard gas in Canada. There's a little more in it but we always like to be efficient and safe.

Honda really should have given this car a better drivetrain from the factory but, at least LHT can fix that problem (albeit 20 years later).

This is great, i just picked up a high mileage 2002 civic SiR hatchback (sir because i am in canada) and was thinking of doing the k24a2 swap. Could you tell me what this would cost?

12.0:1 A/F for an N/A? Seems rich, but maybe I'm risky. I tune mine at 12.8, without a dyno, so who really knows!

There’s so little difference between 13 to 1 and 12 to 1 power wise, but much safer to run a little fatter. Especially on 91 in a very cold climate.

im building my ep3 i had a question what resonator did you go with for the back and did you need to change the mounts on the passenger side at all? and how did the radiator hoses mount up?

Back resonator is a magnaflow 14” body. Radiator hoses ordered for an ep3 and the mount are Hasport for an ep3

Have a mostly stock 2005 ep3, so much to learn engine wise on them. That exhaust sounds great.

@@Leakyyy- niiiccccee man, I welded in a x-force twin loop S10, 2.5" onto the invidia catback from previous owner. It was too loud before for such stock car and being considerate to my housemates, now its a tiny bit louder than stock I'd guess, at idle, and kinda opens up under throttle. Not too bad.

@@M.TTT. haha yeah my car is tuned idk nothing much about it since my uncles did all the work themselves but it hit 13 seconds on the quarter mile pretty good for it being my daily. Exhaust is super loud and I can’t wait to change that.

@@Leakyyy- ah nice, I've debated getting a tuner, but eh yea being a daily I kinda want the mpg's. Seems dual resonator and custom twin-loop does decent, guessing you'd need 3" if your exhaust is already that size.

Awesome build! Thinking of doin the same swap on my EP3. Does the passenger mount need to be swapped with a CRV one in order to fit the k24a2?

The motor was stock. Hence why we only rev’d it to 7300rpms

I need an ep3 in my life! Curious what transmission did you guys use ? The stock 5spd ? Or did you swap it for a 6spd?

@LHTPerformance the ep3 transmission with 4.7 fd gearing is almost identical to the 6 speed transmissions. The rsx base transmission comes with a shorter 1st and 2nd as well as a 4.3 fd

It’s definitely worth it. I drive Jeff’s last year through the mountains and absolutely loved it. His is the black one we did the build on with the 5 lug. It was 2-3 years ago

I have a full k20a2+6 spd trans swap in my ep3 and lately I have been wanting to go k24 bottom end. This video may have just sold me. The k20's lack of low end torque, especially in uphill cornering is like trying to climb a wall vertically lol.

The 24 is a great engine for this car. I drove my friends we built up at the Dragon and loved it. Lots of usable power.
