K5 Blazer Resurrection Part 5 - A Lift Kit, New Wheels and Tires!

Last week I tore down the old worn out suspension and pulled the old axles off the 1989 Chevy K5 Blazer. This week I put the Zone 4" suspension lift on the truck and add in some 35x12.50 Kanati Mud hogs on some Ion Alloy wheels for a big improvement to the truck's look.

I just got my blazer a little south of you in Athens Alabama, was a 11 hour drive for me but worth every minute. Really like your channel- keep up the great work

Had the same issue as you with the leaf spring bolts. Those 89-91 Blazers/Jimmys use metric fasteners for some reason in the front. LMC lists a 9/16 bolt for them, but if you buy the shackles, they come with metric ones. M14 x 1.5 is what I ended up having to use in place of the 9/16 x 12

I just bought one of these the other day I need to reconstruct the back body mounts the guy cut it to get to the fuel pump lol looks just like mine

think about softtopper at all? I got one for my 87 k5, haven't put it on yet though. Snow decided to return to Nebraska today.

I would love to put a softtopper on the K5, but it's ultimately my son's truck and he wants to rock the factory style top. Sucks about the snow rolling back in!
